favorite plastic worm color 2024

fishing user avatarzbigbadaaron reply :

whats you favorite plastic worm colors for fishing at the day

fishing user avatarIneedAnewScreenName-i098509 reply :

Red Shad or Black Neon.

fishing user avatarroadwarrior reply :

"Dark"

Mainly watermelon with black flakes, watermelom with black & red flakes, green pumpkin with black flakes and black with blue flakes. In the fall, when baitfish are schooling and are the primary target, clear with black flakes is another option.

fishing user avatarAvalonjohn44 reply :

Yellow.

fishing user avatarCigarlover 1 reply :

Watermelon and Green Pumpkin both with black flakes are the two colors I use most. Out of the two I use Gren Pumpkin more often.

fishing user avatarPond Hopper reply :

Dark-black, greens, browns, etc or bubble gum.  Only problem is I had a limited supply of bubble gum and last time I used them they caught fish when the natural dark colors were not.   ;)

fishing user avatarjohnkook73 reply :

Watermelon and Pumpkin with Green or Red Flake.

fishing user avatarMicro reply :

watermelon, pumpkin, red and purple

fishing user avatarGoBlue80 reply :

Green pumpkin with black flakes and motor oil char.   Those seem to work really well for me.

just say pink ;D        actually pink is one of my secret colors here for a spinnerbait

fishing user avatarivey_fish_camp reply :

My favorite by far is green pumpkin with black flake.  I've caught tons of bass on this color because of the color of the water that i fish in.  It blends right in, but the black flakes and my red hook catch the fish's eye.

fishing user avatarMunkin reply :

If I could only fish one color of soft plastic it would have to be green pumkin. It has produced fish for me from solid mud less than 6"visibility to water so clear that in 30' you could tell what side landed on a coin.

I have to say a brown close to a natural earthworm color.

fishing user avatarturkeyhunter2112 reply :

Red shad would have to be my favorite.

fishing user avatarmichbass reply :

Junebug I have had the best luck with, but I think it is a confidence color for me. Most dark colors fair well. Why is it though that chartreuse spinnerbaits seem to worm great but try the color in a worm and no luck?

fishing user avatarBassHunter69 reply :

i use watermelon with black flakes and chartruse tail, i also like the black worm with blue ribbon tail, then again the pumpkinseed with red flakes.

One Sock,

I'm not a huge baby ***, but that color on top looks pretty cool.  Is it watermelon with gold flake?

fishing user avatarmoby bass reply :

I've got bass on most of the aforementioned colores, but my most productive at our local pond has been chartreuse with black, green and copper flakes.

fishing user avatarjustfishin reply :

Green Pumpkin, Red Shad or Blue Fleck are pretty much all I use. Sometimes Watermelon.

fishing user avatarbubbler reply :

laminate smoke and red shad. from wave worm.

but my favorite color is watermellon with red flake.

fishing user avatarRoLo reply :

Black Shad - Red Shad - Watermelon - Green Pumpkin

FLAKES? I know what colors "I" prefer, but I'm not convinced they serve any useful purpose (that is, beyond the manufacturer).

Roger

fishing user avatarShad_Master reply :

FLAKES - I recently read an article (could have been in either BASSIN or BASS Times) where they were saying that they were fishing a translucent stick bait with black flakes and the theory was that this mimicking a school of fry - I believe this was in the Spring, so it seemed plausible.  Never really considered this before.  But I do know that the FLAKES can be a factor by fishing behind guys using the same bait with different FLAKES.  It would be interesting to see a longer discussion about this.
