1.) Crankbait/jerkbait or Spinnerbait?
2.) Jig or stickbait/creature bait?
*** It's not about what group you choose.
It's like out of question 1, of the two, which would you choose, and then out out of question 2, of the two, which would you choose.
each have a time and place.

^^^X2. However for year round results personally if say option two. Of course I'd feel like I lost an arm if I couldn't do all of the above

I know. But the point is that you have to make a choice. lol.
I'll take group 2 if I have to choose.
I'd take group 1 if I can only fish one, since I don't find joy in fishing group 2.
Out of those I would generally say spinner bait and the second one I am more iffy about. I have more confidence with the jig but Ive been trying to catch more on stickbaits recently.

Do you not find joy in group 2 because of the pace of fishing, the strike of the fish on those baits, or because of lack of success? Not trying to highjack, just curious as to how you found your way to preferring group 1 over group 2.

1. spinnerbait
2. stick/creature

I think you should edit this into your original post since it clarifies your question a lot.
I would choose crankbait out of group 1 because its very effective in multiple conditions, and jig from group 2 since it catches bigger fish consistently.
I guess I have too choose column 1
Group one defiantly crankbaits and in group two I'd take the stickbait with the jig really close...

X2
1) jerkbait
2) jig
just based off of personal success
That's tough...3 years ago I would have gone Spinnerbait and creature but today I would have to say crankbait and jig. Crankbaits are my #1 confidence bait and I am trying to be a better jig fisherman.
Crankbait and a Jig for me.
1. Spinnerbait
2. Stick bait / creature
Spinnerbait/Soft stick bait
Not my choice, It's the basses choice.
DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE!!! If I have to.
Group one: I HATE crankbaits but because of that I have been forcing myself to use them. So, reluctantly, I have to chose a squarebill crankbait.
Group two: If there is a jig in my tacklebox it WILL be tied on before I hit the water.
If they aren't getting the job done you change. Where I fish I think those two are the best bet to get started.
Jerkbait & Stick
I would for sure pick a crank from group 1.
A year or 2 ago I would of picked the jig from 2. Now a days I just can't get away from D-Bombs an tubes.
All, and others
if vibrating jig is included under jig.
Jig.
Stickbait, jerkbait, jig, crankbait, spinnerbait. in that order
1. Spinnerbait
2. Creature
Very confident in both and out of all the techniques my favorite two.
Wow, talk about a broken arrow...
1. Spinner bait
2. Jig
For versatility alone. Switch your trailer on the jig and spinnerbait and you can accomplish many things.
1. Spinnerbait
2. Jig
#1 creature Rage Tail Space Monkey
#2 spinner bait Stanley Vibra Wedge
In group 1 I'd choose the crankbait. All because crankbaits are one of my confidence baits. I've caught so many fish on crankbaits and you can always use them in a variety of ways. People say that the spinner bait is the best search bait there is but in my opinion I think of a square bill or a rattle trap a search bait as well. All n all crankbaits are more versatile in my humble opinion.
In group 2 I'd obviously choose the jig because of how jigs just flat out catch fish. A jig can be fished ANYWHERE and with the right trailer you better set that hook because you'll have big mamas knocking at your boat.
