What Bait Do You Spend The Most Money On? 2024

fishing user avatarCatch and Grease reply :

What lure do you think you've spent the most money on in your life time.

For me its the good ole rage craw, thats the only bait I find myself going to the store and coming out with 5-10 packs haha

I bet some of the answers will be swimbaits, I'm thinking about getting into them but the prices on some make my head spin....

fishing user avatarJig Man reply :

Jigs and all of the molds, lead, skirt materials, hookes and weedguard.

^This. Right behind it is crankbaits. I just can't resist 'em.

fishing user avatarMccallister25 reply :

Plastics for sure.. Just plastics of all kinds. I have way too many. Some might say you can never have too many, and to a certain extent I agree, but 90% of the stuff I buy rarely gets used :/

My Rage Tail gets put to work though!! :D

fishing user avatarkfelton0002 reply :

Plastics, both worm and creature bait types.  My husband has an obsession with GYCB and has to have every color.. every size... they even have their own tackle bag!!  So we spend the most probably on plastics.

fishing user avatarDwight Hottle reply :

Well I have spent more money on Lucky Craft jerkbaits than any other bait. Color doesn't matter but yet it does.  :dazed-7:

fishing user avatarJar11591 reply :

Definitely soft plastics, and more specifically YCB plastics. Senkos, Hulagrubs, Kreatures and Flappin Hogs. 7 bucks a bag and I have and have used so many.

fishing user avatarMr Swim Jig reply :

North Star Original Swim Jigs and Reaction Innovations Skinny Dippers for trailers...

fishing user avatarnascar2428 reply :

Plastic cigars AKA Senkos, Yum Dingers, Megastrike megasticks, Big bite trick sticks. I am just amazed how those things always catch fish!

fishing user avatarOntarioFishingGuy reply :

Rapala and Lucky Craft crankbaits, jerkbaits, topwaters.

fishing user avatarlivetofish28 reply :

I have a habit of buying Rapala's - I bought 20 new ones at a flea market a few weeks ago and by the time I went to put them in my tackle box my Son and Daughter both grabbed 5, and my wife scooped up another 5 - oh well back to shopping for more I guess

fishing user avatarHi Salenity reply :

I'll just say Megabass lures. Guarantee I have over 50!

fishing user avatarBrock Grigsby67 reply :

Probably Zoom and Big Bite Bait plastics.

fishing user avatarTNBassin' reply :

Yeah usually you can catch em with cranks no problem but I've been unlucky lately and the big ones have been jacking my KVD's :/

fishing user avatarolegs reply :

Plastics. Mostly GY,Rage tail and Zoom products

fishing user avatarPersicoTrotaVA reply :

First would probably have to be crankbaits, which are all Strike King KVD squarebills, Series 4S, Series 1 and Series 1XS with 1 Rapala Scatter Rap Crank Shallow.  Then it would have to be plastics with my senko style worms I use for wacky rig fishing taking the silver followed by jig and spinnerbait trailers collection to round out the top 3.

fishing user avatarJrob78 reply :

Lucky Craft hardbaits.

fishing user avatarFirstnameLastname reply :

This may seem odd but I would have to say inline spinners. Plastics would be a close second.

fishing user avatarBluebasser86 reply :

JIgs and plastics, swimbaits are coming up the list fast though.

fishing user avatarBankbeater reply :

Probably jigs and trailers.  I lose a lot of them.

fishing user avatarZach P reply :

Zoom Plastics, Rage Tail Plastics, Crankbaits.....you can NEVER have enough crankbaits haha

fishing user avatarOutdoorIL25 reply :

Jigs and Trailers.... I have a weird thing for Havoc pit bosses and devil spears  :Idontknow:

fishing user avatarArv reply :

Rage tail. Then probably jigs

fishing user avatarBass_Fanatic reply :

Alabama rigs. At $30 a pop fully rigged, I've probably left $1000 in Toledo bend alone! After that would be rage tail products and lucky craft pointers/cranks.

fishing user avatarfrantzracing0 reply :

As a general, squarebills. If I hit the water and fish squarebills for a few hours I lose a few no matter what. Its par to the course.

fishing user avatarVegasFishing reply :

Soft plastics for sure. Just ordered a bottle of Mend-It so hopefully that will save me some money...

fishing user avatarMCS reply :

gambler plastics followed by spinnerbaits.

fishing user avatarRaul reply :

Cranks ! I´m weak about cranks ..........who the hell I´m trying to fool ? I´m weak about any bait !

fishing user avatarblongfishing reply :

Crankbaits. It cures my addiction. Also, Bucktails for striper. I usually spend more on Striper gear like hooks and weights. but that's not a lure.

fishing user avatarnolan7675 reply :

About half of my money goes to KVD cranks alone..

fishing user avatarBack Country reply :

Zoom trick worms, horny toads, and every manner and sort of topwater.

fishing user avatarlong island basser reply :

Definitely soft plastics for me.

fishing user avatarFishTank reply :

Megabass lures have put me in the poor house a few times but I have spent more money on Yamamato baits than anything else.

fishing user avatarbmlum415 reply :

Swimbaits for sure but besides those I spend a lot on jigs and megabass lures.

fishing user avatar5fishlimit reply :

Soft plastics.

fishing user avatarMichiganBass80 reply :

Spent a lot in the off season stocking up on plastics, but right now my money is going towards crankbaits mostly.  Right before reading this thread I placed an order at TW for about a half dozen crank baits.

fishing user avatarTartan34 reply :

Keitech Easy Shiners.  Nothing comes close...

fishing user avatarATX reply :

I will show my wife these posts. Lol. She thinks I'm the only person who has a problem. She'll suggest we have a fishermen's anonymous meeting to discuss our addiction and how to over come the big bass fever. Lucky for me she loves fried fish!

A gathering could double as a swap meet.

fishing user avatarBasshunterJGH reply :

Swimbaits and senkos

fishing user avatarMaster Bait'r reply :

Probably frogs. I have a couple dozen for sure.

After that it's got to be plastics. Roboworms are the majority but pit bosses, ol monsters, slug-go SS... Let's face it you need a few bags of each of your favorite color and before you know it you've got 20lbs of plastic haha
