The Kick-Tail was made by Scott Wilson a good number of years back.It was also banded from all Tournament's, from Flw,Bass,{Redman-BFL}and may be a few other's,not shure. But the Kick-Tail,BBZ,and this6-8 inch XBuster is awsome. What do you think, to big, or not big enough?
Do you have a large fish tank in your laundry room?
I would call that an ambitious bass in the second photo!
QuoteDo you have a large fish tank in your laundry room?
x2... i wish my laundry room was as sick as yours..
yea i have never seen anyone catch so many fish in the laundry room.. maybe the bedroom but laundry room man you gotta be good to do that ;D ;D

I know that I can catch fish in my Laundry room, any day of the week. With out leaving home,I drop a line in my Sink and pull an average 3lb's out every time, with the occasional Dink in a Sink. What's your all's excuse. The fishing line that { YOU } are advertising shouldn't be told out load, for your secreat is out, that,s may-be why your Line { Thread Suck's } should stay in your Tackle Box........... :-/
Where's the popcorn vender when you need him ?
I'm curious... did you re-create the fish poses or do you cut off your lures with each fish caught and cooler both of them together, for the pic later?
Um, ok...
I like Tru-Tungsten and Strike King swimbaits. I haven't been using the hard swims for very long though, so I haven't tried many other brands (the cheapo ones from Dick's aren't very durable, I forget the brand name).
Never seen a swimbait like that before...

Every time I hook a fish I come into my office space,{laundry room}and take a photo then go back outside and release them.But the other remarks are for those who have a few Smart phrases about them.No constructive criticism,nor imagination,about them,just plain dew of the Lilly,Shake it well,boys.Steve Wilson invented the first swimbait that I know of.{ Kick Tail-NGCsports}

the comments people are making about the thread sucking are juvenile, thats what he is getting at. Nobody here posts to be ridiculed.

When was this? I wouldn't be so sure that it was the first "swimbait."
BTW, the Kick Tail is right up there with the Helicopter Lure and Banjo Minnow IMO. They may catch fish, but there are MUCH better options to use.

I don't think that a helicopter lure or pop zit,pop worm are considered a swim bait.QuoteQuotethe comments people are making about the thread sucking are juvenile, that's what he is getting at. Heres one of the first swimbaits of this new wave of swimbaits. They have been around since the early 1900s. This one was made in the 80's and more or less launched the bigbait craze in the west.
Oh, also
oy vey.
:-?
1st pic is of the very first swim bait's ever produced, started in 1950's and ended in the 80's unknown reason for being discontinued.{Plastic Lure} 2nd is when this man developed the craz in California with his designes for a swim bait, ranging from 20$ to 300$.{ Hard Body }
Wow. You truly have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
A. The vivif was not the first swimbait.
B. The man you posted a picture of was named Dave. He started making those baits in probably 2005 or 2006. I have hung out with him several times and even got the tour of his bait building shop at his home near Casitas. He was a very cool dude, had a heart attack last year. He was in his mid 30's. Pretty sad.
Very sad to here this,of Dave passing he had brought the swim bait to a whole new level, in my eye's.

What he's getting at is that they're gimmick lures...
Gimmic or not.I personally had purchased a pencil popper key chain ,that looked really nice for a blue gill pattern. It's just a key chain.I used it on a local tournament, and me and my partner took first place. There are alot of gimmics out their for are eye's to choose from,do they work.Of course they do,if presented right. We won it with 22lb's plus.Over all for the yr.was67.17 lb's.If it wasn't for that key chain sold at 7-11, we may have placed second for the yr.A fluke of course, but you never know.

Not intentionally...... then again,
Quote, and thank you for reading between the line's.
The line's what?
Ok I have to jump in. I didnt know anybody was gulible enough to believe those adds. The kicktail was NEVER banned from any tournament, neither was the walking worm, or any other highly advertised infomecial bait. Here is a little hint. When the article you read is outlined, its an ad. It is designed to look like a real article but its just a tricky ad. As for the first swimbait, thats a tough one because eveything is considered a swimbait now. The term "swimbait" originated with the soft bodied saltwater baits like the old worm kings. As for the best of the multi jointed shad baits, I would have to say the 3:16 freestyle shad.

I think he is kind of giving it away here...
As a serious medical note, you should wear a shirt more often. With a tattoo faded that badly, you are obviously exposed to the Florida sun more than necessary. Skin cancer is a very dangerous thing.
Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.
You all can make fun if you want, but I was trying to figure out what favorite swim bait's you all prefer to throw, But you all got to admit one thing it Has Been allot of fun at MY expense, which is fine by me.I'm not the king on the water and I'll be the first to admit this ,at least I don't try to Know it all, just a little.I'm the first to learn some thing new and I love to tear up a bait { plastic, hard body,Wire} to figure some thing else to do with it.So tight Line's All and keep it up, and before I forget my Tat is a large mouth that was hit on the head with a brush hog, and sun cancer has not seen me yet, thanks to the man upstairs, just a lot of fun in the sun.And myself was hit by a Semi Truck, 86,000 lbs of moving steel crunch my Maxy Van like an accordion, messed me up good upstairs as to my neck was snapped in two, the Doctor didn't know how I survived.Gotta love the Jokes.

Leave the man alone. I'm not sure why, but I like this guy. He creates some crazy things.
Sure, a shirt could would be nice, and an English class would be a great idea, but the man said he was hit by a 43 ton truck.
Keep doin' what you're doin, man.
To tell you the truth about all of this,I love it,because I thought you all were a joke at times, though who know it that is.But their is no offence taken and I'm enjoying this, not because it looks like I'm being messed with, because you really don't know who I am in reality.I'm a pretty decent fisherman in my eye's of course, but for some who know me as well for what LITTLE knowledge I know. They enjoy my crazy way's and take note of the things that I do.Modifying Bait's, is one of my heart's passion as to mixing different scents together to.When you can go fishing with some one who thinks they have you pegged up tight against cover flip-pin that is { Blocking} using the same bait as I, and catch 22 fish to 1 from the back of a boat, that should tell you some thing, wouldn't you think so?I gave the same set up to a personal friend ,Which indeed Knows what he is doing, but didn't give him the scent that I had made JUST for flip-pin.Mind you it was in a stretch as long as 40ft may-be.Go figure out what a computer Tell's you how to fish, let alone some one Else's way of fishing.Figure it out for your selves, and the rewards are endless. And for the English Lesson's,I do not need, because I wasn't this way 12 Yr's ago.I was happy going all over the world, payed by other's whom wanted my skill's as a Flooring installer.Saint Croix and it's Sister islands.Loved every minute of it,and of course all with in the US as well.So like I said I hope for those who know it all good luck, but you still have to put what you learn into reality as to were to fish.Learning is fun, but just because your Master's Degree in intelligence is High, and or reading skill are great as to spelling, the fish don't give a d**n one way or the other. NO OFFENCE TAKIN

I don't know about the rest of them but you won me over. Keep up doing what you're doing.
Not everyone is a computer/typing/posting/photo taking genious. Some don't care to be either. The fish don't care either way.Anyone can blab their mouth across a computer screen too.It doesn't take a special skill or giant balls to be a smartass on the internet.
(this has been a funny thread though )
Get this, The joke might be on me,but the computer is on all, and the others who think a computer can catch fish.I buy it all, and if it doesn't work I'll modify it.I would love to see some one tie on a lab top and catch fish. ;D ;D that would be cool,WWW.Catchmeafish.net, and if that doesn't work Down Load the Program that does.
I'm flip-pin lost... :-?
Do your thing, man.
Like I said before, wear sunscreen.
Get 'em Buck!

Entertaining read... I was curious how a 2 day old post about swimbaits exploded into 4 pages already. Surprised this didn't elevate a bit more to the point of getting LOCKED down.

That was my guess. I know the webcam I have out in the living room is pure garbage. The autofocus is a joke. If you fart next to it, it'll blur the image.

Well,, I haven't posted much in here yet
You all have been great, and I'm truly surprised it lasted this long.I thought that Glen, or some one else would have deleted it by now.But I guess that they may have fell over laughing by now.I'm glad they left it alone. Every one involved in this post deserves a pat on the back, for Sportsmanship. You know I even forgot why I wanted to know what swim bait's were being used, and don't really care.Enjoy Sorry for your loss,,,,,,,,, Mac/Cheese
I aim to try.
I'll be here all week. Try the veal...
I'm glad everyone is being pleasant and having fun.
BTW, the Kick-Tail has never been banned from tournament
fishing. That's a marketing ploy. Surprisingly, it doesn't "outfish
live bait 4 to 1" either! I keep a set in my tacklebox just to
remind me NOT to buy any of these scam baits again!
Now, before we get off track and into a fight, let's move on.
We haven't seen much of Irene lately, but she's back!
Good night sweetie!
