I saw a couple videos on it, its basically the swimbait reeinvented. Actually, its basically just a regular old swimbait. I dont know why but i actually want to buy it. I like the profile of it and the plastic head and rattles on the hook.
Maybe the ads did their job and hooked me instead of the fish.
My wallet is ready
The only reference I've seen so far was a in-fisherman show. And from what I saw? its far from a "regular old swimbait" in my opinion
I still have some old sassy shads from the 80's, and although they still work, and I do use them. Their all you got in a bag, no jigheads, and rattles? needed to be added, and the action? was mainly just the tail wiggle.
Maybe its a older angler thing, but I was impressed by the action, built-in rattle, and the newer longer bodied plastic.(like a keitech)
I do have some of the previous storm swimbaits with the built-in hook and weight that are the 3/4 oz size shad pattern, and about 3-4 inches long,.. that I use for casting at stripers here on the bridges and piers in the salt water. And the stripers are suckers for them. And yeah they do work for freshwater bass as well, but rattles, and the swimming action? Even a step up from my striper lure as far as I can see.
Here,.. there is a lead ban, and I can see this being a good lure for us as a weighted hook "must" be less than 1 oz, so,.. many swimbait hooks that offer a swimming action to their plastics? cant be used at all, unless its a eco friendly version, which I've yet to see.
This may be a answer for "eco-friendly states"
Has any one tried these? Seeing ads everywhere and Wheeler was using them this past weekend at Cherokee.
They're just swimbaits, man. Expensive ones at that. Don't do it.
They are like 6 bucks for 3 with the jig head.Hardly expensive.I got a couple packs at Bass University but haven't got to fish them yet.

That's expensive! 3 won't last long

Especially with that long, thin tail. Makes me think of 3 pre-rigged Swing Impacts. I'd rather just rig them myself and get 5 additional baits.
I agree that what I put together looks very much like the 360, and a lot cheaper, but I AM going to try them. If there is something I cannot see about them, but is very effective, I'm not going to miss it. A few bucks to make an INFORMED decision rather than an educated guess is worth it.
Didn't I see someone stretching one way out, like the Z-man material? The ones I put together won't do that. But I have to admit, the videos really look a lot like a bullet jig with a Strike King 4 inch swim bait. (which is very effective).

I've been testing them and I'm working on a write up for Fish Hound (so stay tuned there).
I have been using these a lot. Catches the same fish and small swimbait will catch. The difference is the rattle, head made of plastic and the tail material lasts for a lot more fish than other swimbaits
The local tackle shop got a bunch of these in and I took a look at them but didn't pull the trigger. The way the body fits in seamlessly with the head is nice, but other than that didn't see anything that made me want to pull the trigger.
I'll give them a whirl for kicks.. might be a good thing for my kids to toss as it's "turn key".
Storm plastic is pretty durable. I can see these being a decent bait without breaking the bank.
Bringing back this thread for a few questions. Has anybody fished these for awhile? Are they durable? I've been wondering about the heads and hooks on these baits. Any problems with bending hooks or chipping paint?
I still havent used them yet.Im breaking them out next week though.Someone said the heads are plastic.Since i have only seen the pre-rigged packs and not a pack of replacements i wonder if the heads are just meant to be disposable. You would amass a bunch of swim heads pretty quick buying them.

I would be more worried about losing the singe special jighead and then having the plastics left over.
But, I do fish a lead-ban lake, so I might end up trying a pack, I have spent $6 on dumber stuff before.
Not only do they rattle and kick at the tail but they also roll side to side....
i got the 2.5 smallest ones to sample but when I get another pack I will definately go a size or two bigger..

This happened to me. I sent them an email about replacement heads & they said July availability.

a pretty common feature of swimbaits today. The only unique feature is the rattle

Lol you know you wanna try em.
I'll admit it.. I grabbed a few packages when they were 25% off at Cabela's. I literally bought them for one reason, to tie onto my kids rods for a "turn key" swimbait solution. At least that's what I tell myself to justify it when I have like 20 packages of Keitech's stashed away.
I'm tempted to try the 3.8 but I might stick to 4 inch swimming dinger pegged texas riged because it is weedless.
I was very skeptical about this bait but I guess I watched enough YouTube videos to leave an impression. I typically do not fish swim baits so this was a whole new world to me. I ordered numerous patterns in the 3.8" version and was pretty impressed when they arrived. I took them out on a pond that first weekend and was instantly hooked on them. Not only did I catch Bass; I caught a lot of Bass. The action on these is awesome; the tail kicks real well but the bait wobbles back and forth quite a bit as well. It almost reminds me of the searching action of a 2.5 square bill. The durability of the plastic is great; after many bass there's not a single mark on the bait let along any type of tears etc. I had numerous bluegills hit the bait too but they were not able to tear off the paddle tail. I just ordered 6 more packs of these; it's time to start stocking up now. I did snag one of the baits and lost it so I have two tails left in that color but no heads any longer so when they start offering the replacement heads that will certainly be a good thing.
I may have gotten too skeptical as I age, but when the first post of a new member (who doesn't list any personal info) is to rave about how great a bait or some equipment is and then recites some of the bullet points the marketing department made up for the product, I immediately disregard the testimonial as a plant from the manufacturer.
And I like the Storm 360GT!!

Sorry you were unsatisfied with my post. I stumbled upon this page and wanted to reply to this topic. Sorry I did not add any personal info before I replied.....WOW.....tough crowd! That was a nice warm welcome to the page!!!!!!!
@PaBassMan13, I don't think that he meant it personally. I feel the same way, and it is in no way, personal. It is hard to read a review about anything on the interwebs without imagining what unstated motives, biases, etc. are lurking in the background. I particularly hate that many paid reviews don't state as much....just raises the skepticism level all the more
As to the baits, I have a personal bias against most Storm baits. Or rather, maybe its just a lack of confidence. I've used many, especially pre-rigged soft baits, and never experienced much success...that lack of prior success with totally different baits colors my judgement against these new baits. Unfair? Probably...oh well
I have seen them used on Lindner's Angling Edge for smallmouth and they were on sale when I was last at Cabela's so I admit that I bought a pack to try. I will report back with results.

It wasn't that I was unsatisfied with your post, rather that the circumstances around it made it appear a little fishy to me. That is a "me" problem, not a "you" problem, so don't take it personal. Plenty of others read your post without delving into conspiracy theories as I did.
As far as the warm welcome, it was an official city of brotherly love welcome ...

This is actually a great welcoming community. Many of the annoying, aggravating things you find on other forums won't be found here because the members and moderators are quick and efficient at targeting negative behavior or types of posts that are not allowed. Very few battles break out where name calling, personal attacks and swearing get involved. This isn't the place for that. We don't allow people to promote their own independent pages or YouTube channels because the forums quickly get flooded with it. Companies pay "mercenaries" to drop into forums and promote their products or services relentlessly, not here.
If you want to talk about fishing, pass on your knowledge, and learn ALOT, this is the place for you and you will find yourself very welcome here. If your intentions are anything but, you won't be around long enough for us to notice you're gone anyway.
So, In lew of any evidence to the contrary, WELCOME aboard we're happy to have you!!
Thanks all for the explanation, haha! No hard feelings whatsoever But seriously; I do love the 3.5" Storm 360 GT's. They have caught a lot of Bass for me so far this season; and the season only started about a month ago. I honestly have never owned any Storm baits with the exception of their Chug Bugs (which are excellent) so I did not have a lot to base my decision on to buy the Storm Brand baits. Every year I look over all of the new baits that are released and skip pretty much every one of them. The Storm 360 just looked different TO ME so I went for it, haha. I am certainly glad I did.

As a die hard rapala fan(which is now an umbrella over storm). I would still caution you to not go hog wild on all of storms baits lol...
I bought one pack of them but haven't thrown them yet. They look pretty good but storms baits seem hit or miss. I've done well with some of their stuff and not caught a fish on others.
I bought a few of the Arashi Wakebaits when they first came out. Never got a single bite on one so I sold them.

I feel the same way i really wanted to buy them and the jig head really got my attention. Then after closer scrutiny i realised its the most basic swimbait with the lamest action I've ever seen and the fact you only get one jig head turned me off.
Welcome to the forum PaBassMan13. There was nothing wrong with your post. There are some people on this forum who seem to want to correct other people instead of adding something of value to the conversation. This forum is supposed to be a fun and informative place to go to share ideas about a sport we all love, not one for venting.
Is it not about catching fish??? If I think a bait or a new bait that comes oot gives me the advantage over the fish than I am all in!!!! Money or catching fish that is for you to decide!
After using these for a while i have some things to say.
1. It catches fish
2. The plastic body could use some tweaking. The action is too ceazy for me.
3. I wish storm sold the swimjigs seperate. Love the actual head and hook but not crazy about the body
Let's see if I can bring this post alive again. I have now tried the 3.5 and the 4.5 360GT's so far and have had fairly mixed results. I have had great days with the baits and some no-fish days with these baits. Personally; I like the 4.5" version better than the smaller one. The larger baits just seems to have better action. Two weeks ago I was out on a local lake and was having a very uneventful day throwing many different baits. I tied on a 4.5" 360GT and finally caught my only two Bass of the day.
I just purchased several colors in the 5.5" version and am really looking forward to getting those out on the water. My home lake has a good supply of Bass (Green and Brown); Muskies and Hybrid Stripers so I am thinking the the 5.5 might work even better. I cannot find much info on the 5.5 online so I wonder if anyone out there is throwing the largest version. I would imagine that thing is really going to kick around as opposed to the other two.
I saw how much better the 4.5 was than the 3.5 so I am thinking the 5.5 might be even better? Has anyone else on here used the largest of the three sizes; I would be curious to hear of anyone's success (or lack there-of). It seems like just about everyone out there is throwing the smallest 3.5 version.
The one thing I do notice about this bait is I lose some fish. I am thinking I am so used to a reeling or sweeping hookset (I fish finesse most of the time) that I am just not setting the hook properly. These baits; especially the 4.5's have a pretty beefy 4/0 hook. Again; I think I am not setting the hook properly all the time. The largest version comes with a very stout 7/0 hook in the jighead; I would imagine I'm really going to have to rip some lips when setting the hook with these. Does anyone else tend to lose fish with these; it appears as if the hookpoint is very sharp.
I picked up over 20 plus packs of these baits in different sizes because I liked them so much.
I have thrown them off and on over the last year in Arizona and have only had 1 fish try to eat it and a few followers.
I still have confidence in throwing them because they run great for me and like the action.
