I recently discovered the Rage Tail Menace - I'm starting out using it on a swim jig rigged as a trailer with the twin tails up & down (vertical) .
I'm sure there are other rigging options (both rigged alone and as a jig trailer) ... What are your favorite ways to rig the Rage Tail Menace ?
Swim jig
Flippin jig
Texas rig normally. Also works great on a shakeyhead.
Rig it vertically on a Rage Blade. Another option that worked well for me last
weekend was T-rigged: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/163835-its-on-at-pickwick/
Vertical on a Scrounger. Imo mimics a bait fish perfectly
On a punch rig with a skirt. It may not look like much, but is a great little bait for getting in and out of thick grass.
My number one way is on an Extreme Shaky head. This flat catches fish.
Lately I've been rigging them on a 4/0 weighted (3/32 ounce) Owner Twistlock Lite hook.
Texas Rigged Jig
Skirted punch rig.
On a swing style football jig or a rugby jig head for smallies. It flat out kills em no matter what the conditions are.
Great suggestions - many more rigging techniques than I would have imagined ... Obviously the Rage Tail Menace is a versatile soft plastic !
Swing head / biffle head
I would probably either use it as a trailer on a jig or use it on a jighead.
UKCAT and Midwest, thank you. I haven't tried that combo yet (swing jig/menace), but I have no idea why not, since every other Rage Tail plastic shines on a Biffle Hardhead...almost like Big-O, Tommy Biffle and Gene Larew got together to cook up match made in heaven intentionally.
Im really getting sold on that Rage blade,Vertical on that and on a swim jig
I believe the Menace tails come packaged with the tails connected : Is that the prefered method (tails connected) for flipping and punching ?
I always separate Rage Tail stuff..to me, Rage Tail is about the motion...if I want it subtler, I'll throw something else.
I've never thrown one, how do they look on a split shot?
they work well on a rage rig too.I always split the tail.

Ditto Choporoz. I always separate.
Continued great information ! ... Lastly , what would be your top 3 ~ 5 Menace colors you will always hit the water with ?
Trig on a 3/0 gammy ewg, weight of your choice.
Colors....glacier,watermelon red,black and blue.
This bait does great in all the metioned approaches. This year it was a weapon on a river my club had 2 tournaments on. I hurt em on it pitching to laydowns on outgoing tide. I was the only one throwing it. The rest of the club was throwing smallie beaver type baits. I won both tournaments easily bc the menace was HOT
I forgot the color. But it's candy something. Green pumpkin blue and of course any shad color to use on swim jig or chatterbait.
Sapphire Blue, Black Neon, & Falcon Lake Craw
Swim Jig.
Texas Rig.
Dirty Jigs Pivot Point Football Jig.
Blue Craw vertically rigged on a KVD swim jig. Killer.
Punching or on the back of a bladed jig, rigged vertically instead of horizontal, tail always split.
