I got three tubes of Megastrike that says he did. Bobby's no dummy. Any publicity is good publicity.

Love the line:
"...We might not "make" the original, but we make the original better!"
Seems like the fishing industry is the worst copy cat industry in the nation. Seems that no matter what you come up with it does not take long for it to be copied. Everybody seems to do it so I guess it is just something you deal with. I guess your only recourse is better marketing.
Hold em up lures- well he named his company right -BECAUSE HES ROBBIN ME' As for Roland-He has nothing to do with that Marina any lomger.
What happened to your online store front?
j francho is right i went on your wesite and click a website on shake 2 jig and it says your website is suspended what going on ?

LOL... It's because the industry is controlled by fisherman, and they are always copying what the other guy is doing; on the water and in business too.
That Hold'em up jig looks good. Thanks for the post.
Hmm, one dealer in FL. Their contact info says its in the state of Maine, although zip code is Rhode Island. Something fishy is going on there.
Store front is under construction- or did he take that from me also-STICK EM UP LURES- Pirate baits

its probably your arch enemy dozer. ;D
Man, that really sucks.

I just called, told them, Bobby sent me, and the secret password was "I hate the sparkles in Smelly Jelly."
But seriously, perhaps I'm wrong, and Bobby's claim is legit. A woman named Sue answered. I asked her what the deal was with the jigs, that i was looking for E2 Shakey Heads, but the site was down, and found these, which looked close. She said she had no idea about the E2 jigs, but to watch the video.
Seems too complex a stunt. If its patent infringement, I'd get this thread pulled, and get on the horn with my lawyer.
Did anyone take me up on my bet? LOL. I am sure some I.O.U.s will have to be issued.
Not stirring the pot on this one, although I may be playing devil's advocate. I am a megastrike man, so Bobby, I can feel your pain as I have customers taken from me time to time. However, as with all tangible products, only a slight change may make it that much different, and therefore unique in its own right (physically, not in idea form). As I have not seen both products up close, I would imagine they both may have slight differences physically however used for the same purpose. I guess that is just semantics thoughEither way, does not sound like a lawsuit just because someone is not apt enough to create their own products and modifies others to fit their use, it does make it shady and reprehensible to make a dime off of it though. On another note, noticed your site was down as well, so I ordered the E2's off of ***- I will post the results after I slay them this weekend.
I found out who this guy is- believe me it is as blatant as can be-
Have you or others had other experiences with this individual like this before?
No but I know someone who has
bobby whose the guy and friends or formal employee u need to get this person in trouble .
From looking at the pictures on the other guys website, there are some subtle differences. Doesn't look like it has the recessed line tie, there is something on the back of the lead underneath the hook that's not on the Megastrike jigheads. It probably would be very hard for a lawsuit to go through because he didn't copy a patented product. It may be unethical, but frankly, thats business. Stuff is copied in the fishing industry all the time. Believe me, I stand behind Bobby and his products and will continue to use them. The other guy didn't do anything illegal though.
BTW Bobby, you may say that Roland has nothing to do with that marina, his name is still attached to it. It would be like me coming out with a stellar product, naming it after myself and then selling it. It will forever be associated with my name and myself.
if you google the phone number a person is given the chance to post opinions and reviews on this jig head...
While I can't comment of the legalities of all this I can honestly say that I'll buy from Megastrike and only Megastrike.

Those are some pretty small differences. I'd like to see where this goes.
I think the point about the marina is that Roland is sponsored by Megastrike. It would be odd for a business that he owned to sell a jig-head that was copied from his sponsor. The fact that he is no longer financially associated with the marina makes it less of a conflict of interests.
Now I know how Gary Yamamoto feels- I made a call and found out who he is. These were shown and given to him by a guide on Big O. The guy evidently has no creativeness on his own.Cmon there is no and I mean no head like that except the Shak-E2 I will take care of it from here. I would like to thank all of you for your support.
Hope it works out for you, Bobby. I guess you can take it as a compliment...somehow. Imitation = flattery or something like that.
I feel your pain Bobby. It has happened to me many times.
I truely think that he will not sell many. Everyone always remembers the original-- Senko--Jello-Xerox -Kleenex -The names synonomous with the product.

That's true. It also helps that you have people on this board that are loyal customers and tell their fishing partners how great your products catch fish.
Keep up the hard work making innovative fish lures, and people will be trying to copy you for years to come.
