If you could only limit yourself to 1 rod, 1 reel, and 3 lures ( soft plastics w/ hooks or other lure ) what would you chose ?... I have an idea of what i would!
Selection would be based on body of water!
Worm, Jig-n-Craw, & spinnerbait
Rod : GLoomis MBR783 IMX
Reel: now that's a tough one, I would have to choose between Chronarch 50 Mg or Daiwa Alphas Ito
Lures: 3/8 oz single Tennessee blade spinnerbait, 5" Curly tail grub, 1/2 oz jig
Spinning set up. MH . Braid.
I could pick so many different sets of 3 and be happy with them its ridiculous.
Shad rap, double tail hula grub, swimjig (with a kalins grub I suppose)
A-Jay
If spinning: 6'3" Legend Tournament + Shimano Stradic 1000
If casting: 6'6" ML Carbonlite + Shimano Chronarch 50e
Lures: 4" Senkos for wacky and "weightless" TX, Yamamoto
Shad Shape Worms for drop shotting, and I might also add
a spinnerbait for the third as I'm working them in to my
repertoire again, with more success than before.
Zebco 202 combo
Nightcrawlers
Minnows
Bread or corn
Oh man that's tough, I'm gonna go with a 7' MHF rod, 6.3:1 baitcaster
Jig (assuming I can change trailers), 4.3 keitech paddletail with weighted twistlock hook, frog
Spinning:
6 - 6 1/2 foot ML/F or XF, pflueger trion size 30 reel. 20 lb braid and 8 or 10 lb mono leader.
Zoom finesse worm, baby brush hog, or some kinda small craw
Casting:
6 1/2 - 7 foot M/MF or F, Daiwa Lexa hs, 12 lb big game mono.
squarebill, pond magic spinnerbait in 1/4 oz., and rebel pop r
Rod 7' Medium Fast Quantum Smoke
Reel Daiwa SV105 w/90mm handle and HH air bearings
Line Power Pro Super8Slick 20 pound test

I didn't know they made booyah pond magics in 1/4 ounce I thought 3/16 was as heavy as they got.
Rod: Phenix M1 7'2" M/XF
Reel: Shimano Stradic (the new Ci4+ is a piece of art but I don't own one)
3 Lures: KVD 2.5 squarebill, Molix Sator Worm, CL8 Mighty Mouse

Exactly ^^^
Would definitely want to know where I was going first before I made a precise decision.
But if I had to pick something different from Catt see below:
Rod: Fenwick Aetos 7' Medium / Heavy
Reel: Lew's Tournament MB 7:1
Line: Big Game 15 lb.
A TFO 6'9" med spinning rod paired with a Okuma rtx 30s. 5" senko, ned rig, spinnerbait.

You are correct, I meant one of their other lines of spinnerbaits. Point is that a small spinnerbait, whether it's 1/8 or 3/16 or 1/4, can produce when other lures can't. My bad
Medium action spinning rod and a reel with 10lb fireline.
Lures 5" kalins grub, Rons Craw if have to choose one color and a tube in water red if had to choose a color. Both would be fished on slider heads. Bandit 100 and color would be Firetiger.
If not locked into the rigging, I would also use some heavier jigs to more effectively fish deep water with the grub and jig.
Lews rod and Lews baitcasting reel.
5 inch senko
Berkley Pitbull crankbait
Colorado blade spinnerbait
Loomis IMX, high speed revo MGX, 3/16 Oz reins tungsten, 6th sense punch stop, BPS tender tube, Trokar 2/0 tube hook.

This....because I would have to assume that the zombie apocalypse had happened and I was fishing for food.
6' ML spinning rod, CI4+ 1000 reel, 15lb braid w/ 6 or 8lb floro leader. I know this would limit me a lot but I prefer wading streams to fishing big water and would rather go for numbers rather then size most days in any case.
For lures, it would be tough to pick;
1) Ned rig made from a half zlinker and a Gopher #2 1/16oz head.
2) Zoom Super Fluke on a 3/0 SkipGap hook
3) 1/6oz RoosterTail inline spinner
Fenwick Techna Av
Curado E

Rage Bug
Rage Cut R
Skinny Dipper

BCR 803 GLX w/ Aldebaran 51 HG
1/4-3/8oz jig + craw trailer
1/4-3/8oz t-rig + creature trailer

Lews LFS lefty with 12# yo zuri hybrid .
Gambler EZ swimmer
Gambler 10" curly tail worm
Siebert Outdoors 1/2 oz. Dock Rocker jig in "Trust Me"
There's a good argument to having a spinning rod with some 4" stick worms, Ned rigs and trick worms, but right now I'm trying to improve my skills with baitcasters and pretending the fish are aggressive
manns baby 1- bass assassin shad zara spook. 7' med action rod that I built. with an ambassadeur promax 1600 reel.
7'2" MH-Reg Daiwa Tatula
Lew's Tournament MB 7.5:1
Black Cavitron buzzbait
6th sense 3/8 swim jig in dark water special color & 3.8" green pumpkin eco pro swing shad
Green Pumpkin senko

Plastic worm, green in color, Black color in muddy water, brown & blue in stained water "If I just had one color it would be Green".
Spinner bait "willow leaf, chartreuse skirt" 1/2 oz.
Zara Spook
Top water baits I use Braid.
Weightless super fluke, 6" senko with a 3/8 weight, and a super hog with a 3/8 weight. I'd use them with one of the new St. Croix Mojo rods, and a Curado E.
7' mh/f casting rod
7.1:1 casting reel
7.5in black shad ribbon tail | 1/4 oz wieght | 4/0 ewg worm hook
white 1/4 oz tandem spinnerbait
1/4 oz black frog
7'3" MHF with a 7.1:1. Swim jig black/blue with a blac twin tail grub,Booyah Pad crasher in dart frog,and a black/blue Yum Dinger t- rigged,1/8th ounce tungsten.
Rod: Fenwick Aetos 7' MH-F
Reel: Lew's TP1H 6.4:1
Lures: Jig & craw, frog, Rage Swimmer
If I only had one...
6' 9" ML spinning rod with a 3000 size reel spooled with 15lb test braid. There's not a whole you can't catch with that set up. Works in the salt or on the lake.
As for lures...
1. A ball head jig with a light colored swim bait and/or grub
2. Some sort of suspending jerkbait
3. A spinnerbait
7 foot medium power spinning rod
Stradic FK 3000
10 lb Power Pro to 8 lb Stren mono leader
1/8th ball head jig with either a curly tail or paddletail on the back (tube if we don't count the jig head as a bait)
Since this is what I throw 90% of the time it was fairly easy

This.
7' M rod. I'd go with 15 lb mono to give some stretch factor
Lew's Tournament MB 7.5:1. I liked this reel so much I bought another
Trick worm, probably bubble gum.
Gold lipless crank
A topwater. Probably a Pop R because it works the longest portion of the year for me, though I'd rather use a Spook, Chug Bug or frog.
Rod:
Lures:
Many times I go fishing with just one lure . I would take a med action bait caster a plastic worm , spinner bait and maybe a lipless crankbait but it all depends on the conditions . All three lures perform well at any depth .
7' MH/fast casting rod
6.3:1 reel
T-rig, spinnerbait, and lipless crank.

7'2 phenix M1 medium
shimano stradic ci4 2500

St. Croix Avid 7' MH/F + Lew's Tournament Pro.
Culprit 7.5" Black Shad worm, 3/8 oz chartreuse spinnerbait, and a frog because it doesn't always work but when it does it's the most fun way to catch a bass.
Too late. I have a lot more stuff than that, and I intend to use it all.
Powell Max 683CEF 6'8" mh xf with a Daiwa Tatula CT 6.3-1
My lures would be:
Reaction Innovation Skinny Dippers with belly weighted swimbait hooks Probably be Houdini, Sungill or White Trash
Kalin 5 inch Lunker Grubs on BPS Perfect Finesse Worm jigheads and my color would be Bluegill or Watermelon seed /red flake.
1/2 ounce Dirty Jigs swimjig in Dill Gill and a Rage tail grub or a Rage Tail dual tail menace grub.
I cab cover a lot of water with those baits.
If I had a choice of a forth it would be a spinnerbait.
-St Croix Legend Tournament Bass 610mlxf
-Shimano Stradic FK 2500
1) Cabin Creek 2.5" green pumpkin blue tube
2) War Eagle sexy shad finesse Spinnerbait
3) 7" watermelon red Berkley Power Worm

What hooks do you use? I picked up a pack but have not found a hook among my collection that I love.
I fish the Little Dippers and Big dippers three ways depending on the water depth.
First I like the Gamakatsu® Spring-Lock Plastic Hooks, then the Gamakatsu® Weighted Spring Lock Hook and finally the
The Picasso Smart Mouth Plus Jig Head 3X Mustad in 3/8 and 1/2 oz.

Cool, I have not tried any of those, I will pick some up. The action of the RI's is totally different from the Keitechs I normally use, so it will be interesting to see which the bass want more.
Keitech makes some good baits. They do have a different action. It is nice to try some of each. When my stripers enter the creeks in the fall ( they come in chasing alewife who winter in the creeks) we chase them with Redeye shads, Xcalibur regular and one knockers as well a Bill Lewis Rattle traps. It is the only time I end up with 4 rattletrap rods on deck at one time. The crazy rock can often lock into one sound and color and ignore the other ones. Tomorrow it will change, so go figure. Try it all and see what works that day.

*10" Big Bite Baits Kriet Tail Worm in green pumpkin with YUM shaky head hook 6/0
My PB was on the worm @ 6.7 lbs in Minnesota
Kayak Life
The rod would be my 6.5 ugly stick medium heavy with my Shimano stradic.
The baits would be zoom salty super fluke ,GY 4 inch senko, both in watermelon seed,or watermelon red,but I'm really torn on the 3rd one.The traditional choice would be red shad 7.5 inch culprit worm. The more current choice would be zoom trick worms in watermelon red.
All t- rigged with a 3/0 wide gap hook,except the senko with a 1/0.
I'm a multispecies fisherman and with this setup I've caught salmon, steelhead, browns, lmb, smb, white bass, walleye, crappie, and many more.
+7' medium spinning rod.
+Reel that holds 100 yards 10 lb fluoro.
+3" to 4" fluke style plastic.
+darter jigheads and ball jigheads
+curly tail minnow plastic
+crankbaits that dive 5' to 15'
I've used every new shiny lure out there but those produce 90% of my catch.
