Are you loyal to one brand or do you use several? I'm talking for main stuff like finesse worms and creature baits. I am a soft plastic junky and have collected a lot of Net bait, Zoom, and now Berkley Powerbait stuff. Is it a good idea to have a mixture of all of it incase they prefer one over the other on a particular day or is better just to stick with what you are confident in? I tournament fish and i'm always looking for that extra edge. Ive always done well on zoom plastics but cant help to think that when the extra action on a net bait mad paca may make a difference sometimes than the more subtle zoom brush hogs or maybe the scent of a powerbait could be better in dirty water...What are you thoughts?
Mostly netbait and zoom. Adding big bite bait 8" lizards in this year. They have a good price/quantity in each bag.
I'm also thinking of getting some hand pour stuff as well.
Going back to your question, this is what I have confidence in. Especially netbait.
Primarily GYCB, Zoom, Strike King, Gambler, and Reaction Innovations.
I've got other brands sitting here also, but not nearly in the same quantities.
I've got mostly Rage Tail, Yamamoto, Zoom, Powerbait, and a lot of Mister Twister.
Zoom, GYCB, Strike King, and just bought some Roboworm to try on shaky head.
My list is almost exactly the same as Eric's. I would also add Lake For to his list. I am not married to any specific brand, but there are specific products which I absolutely am loyal to. Some:
Skinny Dipper (RI)
Horny Toad (zoom)
Rage Chunk (SK)
Senko (GYCB)
Sweet Beaver (RI)
Ol monster (zoom)
Rage Thumper(SK)
Magic Shad (Lake Fork)
Big Ez (Gambler)
Fluke (zoom)
Ugly Otter (Gambler)
Culprit (worms), Berkley, Zoom, Strike King, and whatever the cheap stuff they sell at Wally World is, Riverside or something like that. Curly-tail grubs that I buy in bulk at the boat show in Wichita every spring.

Strike King
GYCB/Kinami
Luck E Strike
Northland
Zoom
Netbait
BPS
Lake Fork
I'm sure there are several more, but I'm drawing a blank at the moment.
I use what appeals to me, regardless of the brand...with a couple exceptions. I no longer buy Yum products because I haven't been satisfied with any of their stuff, and I feel the same way about most Zoom products with the exception of the Trick Worm, Brush Hog, and Fluke.
For more than a decade, mostly GYCB. More recently,
Rage Tail. Others in the mix:
Mizmo
Gitzit
MegaStrike
Roboworm
NetBait
RI Doublewide Beaver
LFT Live Magic Shad
8-)
Kinda forgot Roboworm and Lake Fork. I use the 6" straight tails from Robo and the small LFT Magic shad a lot for drop shotting. I still need to try out the larger Magic Shads for swimbaits.
what I mainly use in in no specific order:
ZOOM
Berkley
RAGE
Lake Fork Tackle
Kalins
V&M

They work very well as swimbaits. Also give them a try as chatterbait and swim jig trailers.
I had a bunch of brands just like above, but now I get all my plastics hand poured by a custom guy. His stuff is better then anything I have witnessed so far! And the best part is he has custom molds that others don't make, and he can match any color, or do any color you can think of. Indeed I have spent some money through him!

Usually a couple things from each brand, more from Zoom than any one, mostly small Gulp! from Berkley for DS'ing, Sweet Beavers are the only RI I have/use. BPS 3.5" Tender Tubes are about all I use from them.
I 'm loyal to these brands:
GYCB
Zoom
YUM
BassAsassin
LFT
Imakatsu
Ecogear
Nories
SK
Lunker City
Culprit

Keitech

and some others I can 't remember right now.

I have a couple different plastic brands.
Netbait
Strike King
Zoom
GYCB
Roboworm
Culprit
Gambler
Chompers
Berkely
BPS
Just to name a few.
I use whatever brand that looks like it will work! Most of the stuff I use regularly is Zoom or Berkley because I can get it anywhere.

I mainly use Zoom and Berkley because they're cheaper and easier to find, but this past year I started using more Rage Tail and Netbait.

As many as it takes. I'm not 100% loyal to anyone. I prefer Rage Tail but that's not the only bag in my boat.
I'm loyal to any company that provides what I need at a value. I have no problems buying anyone's stuff if it works and doesn't break the bank from Big Bite to Zoom. Now crankbaits are another issue.
I keep a pretty small list of brands. I keep the stuff I've had the most success with and therefore the most confidence in. Zoom is probably my first go to brand. They have such a wide variety and good prices. My favorite soft plastic is the Brush Hog, and most of my worm fishing is done with Zoom plastics.
Second would be Reaction Innovations. Fantastic baits! They would easily overtake Zoom on my list if it wasn't for the fact that I have a hard time finding them anywhere locally. The best RI bait for me has been the Sweet Beaver. It is a killer as a jig trailer.
Third is Strike King Rage Tail. I've used the craws, baby craws, Thumper Worms, and Space Monkey and had decent success with all of them.
The fourth and final brand is a newcomer into my arsenal, but I love them already. Strikezone Lures. I love their Senko type stick bait because it is a little tougher than the Yamamoto counterpart and they come in such great looking unique colors. I also love the Shake Up Head worm. Best looking worm I've ever seen on a shaky head as far as underwater presentation goes. Just fantastic.
The only true loyalty I have is to Yamamoto senkos 5"-7" worms. I know there are a lot of other companies that make worms very similar, but I've done well with them.
I also have:
zoom
strike king
yum
berkley
culprit
Main one I use is Zoom, also some Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops brand stuff.
My mainstays are Zoom, Strike King, and Hag's. I also have some Mizmo tubes.
More often then not its one of 5 brands. However I cant go without the other 20 brands, just dont use em as often. The diversity of fish species and waters around here means a wide variety of techniques and baits.
I'm not loyal to any company. I have everything from Custom Hand Poured to Zoom..I just go with whatever I like or think will work well.
I'm not loyal to any one brand. I use about a dozen or so different brands. I go more on an individual form/function of each bait type. For soft jerk baits I like Zoom, for shakey heads I like Berkley, etc., etc...
Zoom,Roboworm,Yamamoto,Netbait and reactoninovations. These brands have the most consistant fish catching Baits though out their brand selections. All the other bait companies copy them.
brushhogs, senkos, creatures, any roboworm, paca craws/chunks,Sweetbeavers ,flirtworms, ole monster etc have been proven winners for me so they get my loyaty.
#1 RageTail (Anything and Everything) Best baits that I've used!
#2 Stanley (Mostly just the Ribbits)
#3 Berkley (The powerbait works well)
#4 Zoom (Trick worms)
#5 Mister Twister (Curly tail grubs)
I use a few others but not regular like the ones I have listed above.
I would like to try the Robo Worms as I have heard they are great and I have never used a Senko either. I'm planning on adding them to my inventory.
I'm not really brand loyal at all. But glancing at my fishing shelf full of plastic containers with the baits in there.
Yum
Gambler
Mizmo

Berkley
Few custom baits from various small bait makers
Those seem to take up most of my box space. There's a lot of odd stuff in there there as well as a bag of Senkos or two.I'm not the biggest fan of GYCB...but i do have a few.I seem to just replace the odd few stuff whenever i run out.If i don't use it that much i don't buy it much.
I own a ton of different baits.. however.. i can't seem to shy away from Zoom and GYCB.. they catch fish.. Period!!

Expect to up your fish count by at least 10%! You need 4inch Junebug Senkos for early in the year up until the spawn and 5in Greenpumkin red flake for post-spawn until end of summer..

That's what I hear. It is exciting. Do you simply fish them wacky rigged? Can it be that simple?
I have always texas rigged with a 1/16oz bullet weight... lots of people texas rig them weightless...
whenever the bit is on, I will wacky rig them because they are so torn up they wont stay on the hook any other way... and STILL catch fish! Goodluck!
i didn't see anybody mention charlie's worms... hands down my favorite ribbon tail. 8" tequila w/green flake
nothing particular for everything else... netbait, zoom, bass pro, etc.
Whatever looks nice. I've really only been fishing seriously for 3 years so I still don't have a set brand i only fish. I like trying out some of the local or smaller bait companies stuff too, like zipper worms. I think i will be buying from them more in the future.
