Hi everyone, I just wanted to know how everyone throws senkos. How you rig them, what techniques you use, everything! As for me, I usually texas rig em'. I just wanted to see how many other ways there were.
Wacky!
But next time if have a question on or with senkos they go in here. It's pinned topic with everything you need to know just about referring to Senkos, rigging, and technique.

Well you pick it up. And then you throw it. jokes aside, wacky rigged or weightless texas rigged on a 2/0 EWG hook when I need to cover ground faster or if I'm skipping under docks.
Wacky rigged.

Right behind you! If I had a facebook, I would so post about this accomplishment.
But really, I like to fish them weightless on a 3/0, or even use them as a jerkbait. I prefer flick shakes for wacky.

Wow, slow on the lock and key this afternoon. I thought alarms went off at BR headquarters anytime someone mentioned Senko!
BTW, wacky has been my #1 producer.

Son you dont work them -they work for you--Thanks Mister LOL
How exactly do y'all fish a wacky rig? I've never been much of a fan. Maybe I wasn't doing it right...
It's a vertical presentation for a lot of people. Cast it near a bridge pylon, dock leg, etc and let it fall straight down the structure being fished. On 1/5/2013 at 12:27 PM, Lunker7 said:How exactly do y'all fish a wacky rig? I've never been much of a fan. Maybe I wasn't doing it right...
This winter I am also jerking it off of the bottom and letting it fall in fishy looking areas. Also seems to draw strikes that way.
I don't use the O-rings. Instead 3/8 heat shrink tubes cut down to about 1/4 or so size, slide the worm through and then place it on the hook. Cast it out and let it sink watching your slack from the line. Always not sure if know it or not but close the bail by hand. From there on it basically much just twitching or raising the rod upwards and letting the worm fall back down watching your slack and the line for the bite. For hooks I usually use 1/0 to 2/0 Owner wacky hooks or Gama wide gap. If need to know about wacky I would PM Wayne P or Sam.

I always used to wacky rig them and skip them under the docks to catch the fish that most fishermen cannot get a lure at. Go on ebay and find some o rings ( i purchased 300 for $3) and a sharpie and there you have an o ring tool. Now That I have 10+ packs of senkos I like testing out them texas rigged, though I prefer a creature bait texas rigged.
#1 = Wacky
#2 = Wacky
#3 = Texas
#4 = Split shot
There are too many ways to count ... My favorites
1 - Weightless 4/0 EWG
2 - Wacky #1 Wacky Hook
3 -T Rigged
4 - Power Shot 3-4" senko
Don't forget to say hi to Roadwarrior, when he stops by....
Always t-rig and weightless with an 3/0 XPS EWG Magna lock hook. Lately they have really liked it being rigged "backwards"
Well now, I've been gone a couple of days and since the other Mods did not lock the thread,
let's let her rip! Have fun and ask all the questions you like or...If you are serious, the Senko
thread we have pinned has everything you want to know.
That's it. I'm starting a thread about the North American Fishing Club.
