Just curious to see what the biggest bait you guys have confidence in. What I mean by the is the biggest lure you KNOW you can catch fish with. I dont usually fish 12 inch huddlestons or River2Sea Nest Raiders, but might try them later.

Slammers, Hardgills, and 68s are about my biggest baits. I threw some bigger stuff, but these are the ones that produce for me.

See, I might throw something like that if I had a setup just for huge swimbaits, however I CANT AFFORD IT!

You can see my swimbait stick on the deck in this picture. It's good with baits to about 3.5 oz.

I've had success throwing a lot of smaller musky baits for bass, although I believe most strikes are out of aggression not feeding. I use a Lexa 300 reel on a St Croix Triumph. It's not really my preferred method, but it gets the job done when I'm not being too species specific. Once I pile the dog, lady friend, lunch etc, into my little 14' boat sometimes its nice to only have one combo with lol.

Been fishing with the Deps 250 recently, a couple other glides and wakes in the 6-7oz and 10-11 inch range.

The biggest bait I have right now is the 9" MS Salmmer. But it wakes so you can catch smaller bass on it too. It only weighs 2.4oz. I have so much confidence in this bait.

LMB, 16" Worm King Dinasaur swimbait I have several 12" swimbaits.
Musky lures I fished with are not larger than LMB swimbaits, Teedy, Booby's are about 12", some of the inline spinnerbaits are about 14" long, but don't weigh over 3 oz.
Marlin lures can be the size of boat bumpers or over 24" and weigh several pounds!

Delong flying witch to me has been and still is an under-utilized musky bait. Great for pulling fish out from docks...big bass included.
Not a real heavy bait, but long- works well.

No such thing as a 12 inch huddleston. The biggest bait I currently throw is 7" and 2oz but I'll be throwing 8" triple trouts and 8" hudds once I get my bigbait setup.

C, I usually don't throw big baits but here are two stories about using the larger presentations.
A number of years ago I fished a private tournament on Lake Gaston and had my saltwater fishing buddy with me who really has no idea how to fish for largemouth bass.
So we haul our fannies out of Nutbush Creek towards the islands by the dam and start to fish. I throw topwaters and he brings out this gigantic fake silver minnow he uses for saltwater fish. I mean this thing has to be a foot long. At least 10-inches if not 12. And he starts throwing it on a heave saltwater rig.
Guess who catches the first bass? He does! A nice 14-inch largemouth that is a little longer than this silver monstrosity he is throwing. Me? Nothing on topwaters all day but did nail them on regular crankbaits. My friend? Caught nothing more that day on that large bait.
This past Sunday I was fishing Lake Cherokee by my house and I am limited to the bank, pier and moored pontoon boat. There are three guys in a small metal boat with a trolling motor making their way around the lake when they get close to me. I tell them to come on in and don't worry about my fishing area.
The three guys are throwing crankbaits with the exception of the guy running the trolling motor. He has one of those Mann's 14-inch Jelly Worms at the end of his line. And it looks like a snake.
I nail a beautiful two ponder on my shaky head and he catches one just a little bit smaller on his Jelly Worm at the same time off the bank.
He told me he has been catching them all morning with that big Jelly Worm. Go figure?
One way or the other, if there is a largemouth in the area of your larger baits that crazy fish will hit it, even if the bait is bigger than he is.

my mistake. That thing is massive. Let me rephrase that.No such thing as a 12" huddleston in production. I'm sure a few people have them but it would cost a huge chunk of change to buy one.

They are REALLY old school.
I've only ever seen a couple. They have come down in price considerably. First ones I ever saw went for around 200 or so. Last one I saw sold was a boot tail floater for around 75 bucks.

One of my go to baits are those magnum flukes. I prefer them over any other jerkbait.

I would say one of my larger hardbaits would be a SmithWick suspending rouge its around 6" long, plastic would be an 8" worm...

I've caught them on 9" MS Slammers, 8" BBZ's & 8" Hudds. I have thrown a 10" Triple Trout some but still looking for my first fish on that bait but I shared a boat with another swimbait fisherman that stuck a nice 5-1/2lber with that bait which is why I now own a couple of them 
I have done well on the 7" & 8" versions of this bait.
Soft plastics would include 10" ribbon & straight tail worms along with full size Brush Hogs.

Honest to God, here in northen Wisconsin in musky infested waters. I've seen bigger bass attack one of these.. Take in mind two #10 blades, these aren't twice the size of a mepps 5, they are massive!

I just had all my super top props repainted and some saltwater poppers repainted in bass lure colors. I have a medium soft sided tackle bag filled with pike @ Muske lures too.I'm thinking big bait even bigger bass. The guy who did all my painting was Terry Clark of tclark custom lures. He does some awesome work. Terry has also made me some awesome sunfish / blue gill lures too. I wanted larger ones plus one that floats on its side for a wounded topwater action lure. I did upgrade my mister twister super top props in there new bass lure colors with the mister twister double hook bucktails and the mepps single hook bucktails. I also had Terry repaint a dozen or so mister twister top props in some awesome bass color lures too. His art work looks so great I hate to use them. But I'll try some soon.
I just purchased some mirrolures in he dog Mr95 size in all colors. These are inbetween freshwater borderline saltwater topwater walker lures. For $1.99 / $1.79 on clearance they were hard to pass up. Some have that hotter orange bottom.
I also picked up three castaic 9" swimbait rainbow lures. I been throwing one every so often. But nothing yet.

The largest I throw is 6" Bomber windcheater weighs about 2 oz used when I'm targeting larger snook and tarpon. Lure dives too deep for the freshwater places I fish in Florida, and I don't care to use a rod that heavy rod for bass. I have some larger lures that I use offshore but they are trolling lures, those are even weighted down.
