What is your guys favourite Texas rigged soft plastic? Thanks!?
On a true Texas rig (with sliding bullet weight) probably a culprit ribbon tail worm.
Tx weightless ... Senko or hula grub
Pegged (aka Florida rig) rage structure bug.
Brush Hog or a Rage Craw
Mike
Good Gravy!!
'ANY' soft-plastic bait can be Texas-rigged (i.e. anything can be rigged self-weedless)
Roger
I've caught more bass on a 6-8 " straight tail worm than with all my other soft plastics put together for the past 3.5 decades, so ..... guess what's my favorite bait for T riggin' ?

But it is NOT a true Texas rig without the weight. A soft plastic with a weight and hooked in a weedless fashion is a "Texas rig"

According to Nick Creme he sold the hook in the pack of worms first & then later added the weight...both were call "Texas Rig"!
I'd have to go with a 7.5" ribbon-tail worm, with a 6" straight-tail worm a close second.
Tom
4 inch Pit Boss, Molting Craw color. Pretty basic but works well up North anyway...
Most often the Zoom Z-craw. or a ribbon tail worm.
I generally almost always texas rig my senkos or baby brush hogs. I don't even peg my weight though
Baby brush hog- watermelon red flake.
And a bait made by the Cajun bait company, name and color I'm not ready to say because it is killer on the bend.
Got to have a few secrets lol.
5" Senko in either Junebug or Green Pumpkin.
My favorite is Texas rigged & whatever they biting!
Weighted TR - Zoom Ribbon Tail
Unweighted TR - Senko
5" Kalins grub or a tube texas rigged on a slider spider head.
Something that I need to try more is a 1/2 zinker on a slider head around docks, this worked well for me last year.
June bug brush hog or a 4.5" tube
In no particular order:
1. 10 inch power worm in black with blue tail
2. Senko in watermelon red, green pumpkin, or black with blue tail
3. RI sweet beaver in June Bug
4. Zoom lizard in watermelon
5. Berkley Pit Boss in Okeechobee Craw or green Pumpkin
If they're all my favorite, does that actually mean none of them are? 'Cause I think that's where I'm at.
My favorite are simple ribbontail worms.
7" Berkley Havoc Juice Worm ($0.20 ea) and 10" Zoom Ol' Monster ($0.44 ea) are both great baits and good values.
Gambler 7" ribbon tail with gambler screw in weight.

What weight bullet on baby brush hog?
Creme Scoundrel 8 inch worm
TX-DELUX, I always use the lightest bullet weight I can get away with with the wind and the water depth.
Either no weight or a 1/16, 1/8,3/16,1/4.
Any heavyer weight then 1/4 and im throwing a crig or punching mats and im throwing a 3/4 on the crig and 3/4 to 1 once when punching mats.
Always best to use as light a weight as conditions will allow.
Senko
Gambler ugly otter or a ribbontail worm.
Pit Boss or Rage Craw
