I have heard a lot of people having success in early spring with flat sided crankbaits. What is your favorite flat sided crankbait on the market? Thanks so much for your suggestions!
Lil john
Now that you can find them here in the USA, the Storm Thin Fin and one you will find hard to believe is Cabela's flat sided PorkChop.

I thought those have been in the US for a bit? Brad's thin fish?

Mother of pearl. Just when I thought there were no more techniques to buy.
What is this flat sided crank bait you speak of and what does it do that makes it special? It kind of looks like a lipless with a square bill.
I dont fish many but the Bomber Flat A in chartreuse is my favorite crankbait for the mississippi river .
ima pinjack 200
Love the Bomber Flat A, still have the Mark Davis Signature one.
Rapala DT 7 Flat
I'm really starting to do some good things with Carolina crankbaits ... But they still won't make me not mention the flat 75x
I like the Bandit Flat Maxx in that gold color on the left.

Flat broke by norman .I think is worth mentioning.
Ima pinjack, spro little John, and 6th sense crush flat 75 are my top 3!
Big M flat side. It's a fish catcher!
I've got several I like to fish but the Zoom Z-Flat is my favorite for cold water.
Another vote for the Bandit flat maxx, it was great for me last year when I saw sub 40 degree air temps in July.
Love the Little John. Great bill, great hooks, great colors and that slow float is killer.
well...................lipless cranks are "flat sided" and that's about the only thing I use with a "flat side"...........so my vote goes for the SK Red Eye Shad ..............lol.
Bomber flat A is hands down the best..
Zoom tapp.
Lol no one is throwing the same flat sided crank on here

Thank you for this. I can now sleep comfortably. I can't even count the number of fish I have caught on the 1.5F in the last year. Fall and Spring so far. I only use 2 colors, the red craw and the chartreuse black back. They are legendary baits.
Another vote for the bandit flat max (LA shad color) and although I had little johns and the sk 1.5f I have caught more fish with the academy brand flat cranks
A tackle shop I know of has a whole bunch of Lee sesson Flat sided balsa cranks at the old prices . They are four or five bucks a piece . I,ll be driving by there later today. Think i'll stop and pick up a couple .
SOB's.......now I got something else to buy. I got a new Cranking Rod this year and thought I was good to go with cranks. Guess I was wrong. *sigh*

If they are the Yakima Lee Sisson baits, don't buy them. They are junk.

They dont say Yakima . Thet read made in the USA Lee Sesson Hardwood . they are made out of Jelutong .I picked up 5 plus an old Luck E strike and Hawg Hustler spinnerbait . I have a weakness for discontinued lures . All made in the USA .

Yeah, that's a color that doesn't match anything perfectly, but mimics a lot of things.
