It's a patented design by Megabass and is called the "slant bridge" handle. It allows for a more comfortable tucking in of the handle beneath your arm when playing a fish. It fits the arm's angle more closely.

Did you sell off some Heliums L-rod? I knew you had a several MB's, but I thought you had 5 or 6 Heliums. Nothing wrong with upgrading...just wondering. Every time I replace a rod with a better one, I sell as well...I don't need 20 rods, although I have 12 at the moment, which is more than I need. I only have 10 reels currently.

Yes, I did sell some. I had three, 7' Mediums and sold two. I sold my EH to my neighbor. He claims he's won over $4,000 using it in tournaments roll-casting and pitching jigs with it 8-). I use the M and the H almost every time I fish along with my MBs. I rarely use my ML Helium as it's too "light"(in action) for my tastes.
