I'm curious why people are using them big foam knobs.
Theyre comfortable to some people.
are you talking about add ons or stock?
because the ones on my revo's are the most comfortable reels ever.
Eva is comfortable.
Yep, makes for a great grip material.
Is this a trick question?
Cheaper, lighter and more durable than most cork.
I personally prefer cork, because I hate EVA when its wet.

For reel knobs??
everything. i like cork.
Cork can go jump off a bridge. Keep that grey rotting tree bark away from my rods.
Your rods can also go jump off your hands if its wet with EVA.

That black kitchen sponge material can go jump off a bridge too! The cheap stuff anyway. Good EVA is alright but that cork and rubber blended stuff is fantastic grip material. I'd like to see more manufactures use it.
Rubberized cork grips by fenwick? love that stuff
Winn grips are where it's at. Grippy when dry, tacky when wet, never squishy, and always soft.
I like quality eva. Never found it to be slippery.
It's light and comfortable. Next question please.

I love it as a reel knob but really prefer cork on the rod handle.
Give me the Shimano rubber grips over anything else, any day of the week.
I personally prefer cork grips myself, i have some on the way for my new revo
What's golf? My Cabela's Tournament ZX cranking rod has Winn grips. Love it! I see some custom rods using them now.

which grips did you get?
Hammer rods uses winn grips on their fishing rods. You can also buy winn split or full handles for custom rods. Hawgtech also just released some Winn soft touch reel grips, which are very intriguing. On 1/16/2015 at 9:33 AM, Alpha Male said:When did we start talking about golf?!?
I don't care for the Winn grips. Heavy and sticky. I prefer a quality Eva rod grip. For reel handle knobs, Shimano septons are the best imo.
X2. I like soft touch knobs as well. I despise the Abu Garcia PVC knobs. On 1/16/2015 at 7:39 AM, bigturtle said:Cheaper, lighter and more durable than most cork.

3/4 of my rods are EVA foam, and I enjoy them very much. It's a bit less comfortable than cork, but it doesn't look like crap after couple of months (yes I clean them with Mr. Clean) .
