Hey guys,
As many of you know, I'm getting my first baitcast combo. I would love to find a nicer one on sale. Any of you aware of any upcoming Black Friday baitcast deals?
Put the Daiwa Exceler 100 w/ 6:3:1 for $60.00 and I'll buy it.
Bogo some old stock veritas rods in a medium power and I will buy them.
Any bogo sell would be great
What about other black Friday deals. I know tackle warehouse has deals around Christmas and black Friday, but what are they? It's the 25 days of Christmas something every year?
I wanted to drop $200 on some tackle i have been dying to try and on others that I need to stock up on. And hey if I get great deals around that tune, I'm going to wait.
Does bass pro do any black Friday deals?
I think tackle warehouse Black Friday and Christmas are 20% off. Black Friday is nov 28 not sure bout Christmas sale probably right after Christmas.
In a few weeks there will be ads popping up online for Gander/BPS/Dick's/Cabela's/Etc. They usually have maybe 1 good deal on rod/reels for black friday. just search google: Black friday 2014 Gander Mountain and the other stores names. As mentioned earlier TW does a percent sale off on most products, I can't remember exactly but it is probably 15-20% which isn't bad. The best part about TW is that they ship the rods for free (assuming over $50) which some places do not do and that can be really expensive.
If you are looking for a really inexpensive reel, I highly recommend the Shimano Caius. It retails 69.99 and is nearly identical to the Shimano Caenan which retails 89.99. With the black friday sale at TW you would be getting a Caius for $55-59 which is pretty much a $90 reel.
I have two Caius's and they are my favorite reels.

Yes. If you can make it to a BPS outlet you can score big time.
Just be patient as it could take you over an hour to check out.
I think the best black Friday deals are on store brands. Last year I got an academy brand h2o mettle reel for $26.
This year I will buy 3 if I can.

Always, sometimes great and sometimes not so great. Depends on whether they are having something on sale that you really want or need. If not, it's just another sale.
Hootie
Get stuff from TW that's already on sale, then tack on the Black Friday discount. They always have a nice selection of stuff and you can get it for a ridiculous price.
Try the monday after better deals then BF

I realize the big nationwide retailers have a big inventory, especially smaller items like bait, terminal tackle and small spools of line which we may not have had in stock in the past. We have added a lot of terminal tackle and smaller items, maybe still not what the big retailers stock, to our Midwest location at fair prices. We have about 35,000 items listed on that site. Have you had a chance to check it out yet? http://midwest.beatthebigboxboys.com/catalog/?ret_id=1408319
I did get a chance to look over a lot of your stuff, but I just think it will be cheaper come Black Friday or cyber Monday. Especially when the large places have % off and you get a large order, which is what I've been saving up for quite some time. Otherwise you guys would get my business
And if You did carry the laundry list of soft plastics, tungsten weights, worms, shaky heads, and line, and maybe a nice spinning reel then I would love to support a sponsor. Especially if you could beat the other guys
But if yoU did have the laundry list of soft plastic, worms, flukes, shaky heads, braid and flours, tungsten weights, and a nice spinning reel AND beat their price I would without a doubt give you my business

When they do the 25 days of christmas sale its a new item every day until christmas and it stays on sale until christmas day or it is sold out. Last year one of the sales was gift cards at a certain percentage off and then the last day they had a 20 percent off like on black friday.
There are some great deals there during the christmas sale and black friday, especially if you are buying stuff already on sale. They do have exclusions though on certain things but if you call the order in they will honor the sale anyway sometimes, depending on the item.
Definitely check with ron at valley sports also if theres a certain item you want, he has great prices year round.
I started a thread on this already so its kind of redundant to mention it again, but... Cabelas has the pfleuger supreme xt on sale for half off with free shipping and its going on right now. Its a great reel at retail from what i hear and they have it right now for $75 which is a steal!

Lew's Tournament MG is $99 buckas after a Gander MT. Rebate. Add the Lew's Rebate and it is $69. Add the $20 off at Gander Mt's. Website and its $49. Best deal I have seen on a casting reel in a while. I buy most reels used or on sale.
As fr a rod, depends on what you like, but Berkley Lightning Rod are $40 at regular price, and if you find a deal I'm sure they can be had for less. Bought 2 of them on sale for $40.. Pretty good deal in my opinion.
Update:
I got my combo. I bought the Lews Speed Spool for $50.00 earlier in the week, should be getting here tomorrow. I got the Abu Garcia Vengeance a couple months ago for $30.00. I wasn't planning on getting a good como, which is why I got the cheaper rod. If I had known some of the Black Friday deals I found were going to be running, I would have bought a nicer rod.
So, I ended up getting a $180.00 combo for 80 bucks. I'm content.
Nice, Hope the combo does everything you want and more! Once you fish it awhile I'd love to hear what you think of it.
helllooooo dx 703 spinning for $200...thank you TW !!!!!!

So you're the one who snatched that up! Sweet deal.
I was actually gonna pick up the 7'1mh pinnacle spinning but figured "why not check the used" section...saw it and said, it's gotta be mine
1.) Academy had Lew's Tournament Speed Spools for $120 with a $30 mail-in.
2.) Cabela's Tournament ZX 7' Med/Mod Crankbait rod for $70
3.) Pile of VMC flipping hooks, worm hooks, and treble hooks for the coming year
4.) Pile of Zoom plastics (Z-Hogs, Ultravibe Speedcraws, Brush Hogs, and Trick Worms mostly)
5.) Pile of Cabela's hard baits (don't hate, they work for me)
I wanted a matching Humminbird depth finder to go on the bow of my boat but I just couldn't spring for it. I have a 798ci hd si at the console and I'd like to have something similar for the bow that would network but it looks like 700's are hard to find. You either step down to the new 600's without networking and are slower or step up to the widescreen 800's which are a lot more money.
I did my usual black friday tw order, stocked up on line, a few baits, and a tw hoodie.
You dont know how hard i had to restrain myself from not picking up a daiwa px-L.... $320 with the 20% off
