Does anyone have the Lund Pro V Bass?
One of the nearby Lund dealers has a very clean 2018 for sale with only 30 engine hours that's fully loaded and would run me the same price as buying a new Renegade 1875 (which was the boat I was considering). I'm seriously thinking of just biting the bullet and financing one (although my ideal plan was to wait a couple of years and put $20k+ down).
Yes - I do.
Love mine.
Here's a couple of reviews - 2 years apart.

Wow, nice reviews thank you. Seems to be the most boat I could possibly afford and probably more boat than I'd ever need. The only tough part is I don't have money down now because I just bought a truck, so this is something I'll have to seriously think about.
Thanks ~
Good Luck with your decision.

You'll be very happy with the Lund product. As far as being able to afford it, that's something you need to decide on your own with a clear head. If you do buy it, the lifetime hull warranty from the original purchase is reduced to 10 years for the second owner and the paperwork must be completed thru a Lund dealer.

It is at a Lund Dealer, so that helps.
I’ve owned one for 2 years as well. I told Ajay that I wonder why more boat manufacturers don’t make a Deep-V Hull with a bass platform.

To quote a country song "I've never seen a hurst with a trailer hitch".
Seriously though from watching @A-Jay's reviews it looks like one sweet ride! I know a guy who lives a couple hours north of me and hopefully when the ferns start to die off in the fall I can find that boat and stick my thumb out and see if his offer still stands. ????

It certainly does - and I'll let you know.
Although this season's been a little wacky so far, it usually starts happening Much Earlier than most think.
(Julian calendar day 235)
Don't drag your feet either cause the trip south comes earlier this year . .

You're going south in Oct Correct? Jeez this summer has flown by!
@A-Jay has the boat I wanted, but Mrs Bull thought the Impact would suit us/me better and this time she was right. But I still would rather have his ????

Ya - 3rd week.
My PB came on 9/12.
The week before, the week after and straight through Oct last year was just stupid good.
Sorry about the hi-jack
Now back to the regularly scheduled program.

So I should be getting the exact specs of the boat tomorrow. It's such a new trade they haven't even put that together yet.
Well, I finally got the results of my generic cancer testing today, a month late and was informed that I have Lynch syndrome, as well as some other malicious gene. I was pretty sure I was going to buy this boat since I won't find one that's virtually new at a used price like this again, but sadly this made my decision for me. I'm going to need to put away some extra money for medical bills before I can do anything.
However, instead of looking at a Renegade, I may instead try to find a Pro V Bass used. It looks worth the extra cash, and my plan is to have whatever I buy for a while. If nothing else, it rides better on choppy water which translates to less chance of getting thrown overboard and has storage on par or better than most glass boats.
Turns out they wanted $45k for the boat anyway, a bit more than I planned to spend anyway. But given my unknown financial situation at the moment plus being wiped out from chemo, it's probably better I wait.
I do see a few nice glass boats for sale that would otherwise be tempting. One of these days...
Sorry to hear about the test results...good choice to wait things out and see how they settle down.

Me too. Of course, I'm going to have to keep an eye on the used boats this fall as that's when everyone sells them as well. Found a few good looking Nitros and Skeeters at least.

Both good choices. If I had to bet, the Pro-V Bass boats are going to hang on to their value for a while.
Have you looked at the Crestliner Bass Hawks? Same concept (they are effectively re-issuing the CMV they made in the 00s, same as the Pro-V Bass, but with a decade and a half's worth of better technology), welded, not riveted, similar HP and size, fewer moneys. Made in the same plant by the same people, same quality and attention to detail.
I priced one when they came out to see what it'd cast to replace my CMV if something stupid happened, seems like it came in well under $45K, new.

My ideal target range is ideally under $30k, but there may be wiggle room. Basically, if I can get a used Skeeter for $18k, then that saves more money for tackle However if that Pro-V Bass was actually $36k, I'd be all over it but the ones I can find for $36k they stripped the trolling motor and electronics.

Not sure you could get into one of the Crestliners for under $30K, but the smaller of the two might be close.

At 17' 9" with a 95" beam it's going to fish bigger than it sounds (my CMV does, and it's only about 6" longer).
The bigger one is more, rated for a 200 HP Motor:

The boat I was looking at, should I buy new was the Lund Renegade 1875, which would probably run a little over $30k out the door. The Renegade 1775 would be my #2, and honestly offers the same amount of deck space and storage as the longer Ranger RT188 which is one of the better options for aluminum boats as well.
I just a build on both boats, the 1850 wasn't really all that much more if I stick with the 115hp motor.

That would be a great choice as well.
I like the high front and back decks of my CMV...and thus the Lund Pro-V and Crestliner Bass Hawks. I don't like tackle boxes and gear on deck, so I like the ability to store it all under the deck, out of my way and the way these boats are set up allows me to do that.

I definitely like the storage of the Pro-V Bass. It basically offers storage like a glass boat.
At this point, I'm going to be holding off until next year, so I'm going to keep my eye out for used boats as well. There's a used Skeeter ZX200 that looks promising, and some Nitro Z8s and Z18s as well. Better deals might pop up as the season ends.

Yep.
It's virtually the same as my CMV and two Crestliners above.

Honestly, I'm not going to fuss too terribly much. I really just want to get off the shore.

If I recall correctly, the 1750 with a 115 was $29k at this years boat show

I priced it out as I'd build it to $34k. Didn't go too fancy. The 1850 was $36k if I stick to the 115.

Boat show...and dealer prices...are often below what the website will tell you.

I always thought the dealer prices are higher because they include freight, rigging etc.

Like a lot of things..."it depends". Always worth a call.
End of season stock, boat show season...
This looks quite tempting. I'd probably buy it right now if a water pipe didn't just burst in my basement and a couple of other things. Think it could really only have 20 engine hours?

Wow, I'd probably use around that in a single month in the summer.

Sorry...my reply was confusing - I meant it sure looks tempting.
Engine hours...given it's at a dealer, you're likely safe. Boats like this show up sometimes, and the lucky buyer who jumps on them gets a good deal and saves a ton of cash.
I bought my CMV 8 years old, with 3 1/2 hours on it...I had to finish the break in...the carpet was still sparkly...
It was just a hair less than 30% of the cost of a brand new Crestliner 1850 a buddy picked up on the same day.

I thought you meant "I sure do". It does look rather tempting and it also has a higher person weight capacity then most other boats, which I might take advantage of time to time as well.

That's because I Wrote it poorly, not 'cuz you didn't get it.
If that boat's even a remote possibility, I'd go look at it, but I've got really good self control. ????

I don't have any down payment, or even money for sales tax right now, or a safety net in my bank account I'm particularly comfortable with at the moment after a whole bunch of things around the house went wrong. By the end of the year, that should not be a problem. This one is going to take a lot of self restraint though.

You're thinking clearly, stick with that. Really good results in the long run.
I put off buying the first CMV I found for similar reasons, wound up with the virtually the same boat in better condition for the same money the following spring.

In this case the tough thing I'm not sure I'll end up with a better boat, but a better payment and maybe better equity in the boat. I even have relatives out that way I could visit.

Well...maybe not the relatives. That can be situational. ????

^^^ That is one sexy ass boat. I hope to land a boat half that nice someday.
