Can this be used with any vacuum pump, or does it need its own?

Answer: You can only use the Zwilling vacuum pump with this item.

Answer: It only works for zwilling own ons

Is the glass tempered? Can it go in the freezer?

Answer: Yes the glass is tempered and it can go into the freezer

I actually have 2 questions: can we cook stuff in it being vacuum (low temp cooking in water 75 C°), and the second is the cover resistant ?

Answer: The glass container is made for storage and not for cooking. The bags are made for cooking in water. Please restate the second question, is the cover resistant to what in particular?

Answer: i have not cooked in it but it seems like the sous vide would work. the glass containers are by far my preference and the lids work wonderfully. I especially like them for fragile things like strawberries or lettuces which keep them fresher much longer. the plastic bags seem to get pinholes in them somehow and we are very careful so I am not sure how that happens. We freeze things in them but never heat. i am 50/50 on the bags.
