Does this work with wide mouth jars or regular jars?

Answer: It only works with wide mouth jars. But it works well. Worked with both my FoodSaver and Ziplock brand vacuum sealers. I am very happy

Will this also seal regular miuth jars?

Answer: No

Has anyone used this with a brake bleeder to seal jars?

Answer:

Answer: I have not but I would not recommend it. You really need a strong pump and possibly an O ring kit. I don’t think you are going to get that seal and pressure with a brake bleeder.

Answer: A evac pump for air conditioners would be more effective as in much stronger.

Does it work with Foodsaver 2244?

Answer: It should work with any FoodSaver with a vacuum port. It also worked with my Ziplock brand vacuum sealer

Answer: No it will not, the nipple on the hose will not touch the sides of the port on my food saver much less make a seal.

Does this work with the nutrichef pkvs188k?

Answer: It has the potential to work with your sealer. Nutrichef calls the connection point the "vacuum nozzel." The jar sealer comes with the needed hose. FYI! Please see the other reviews. I am gratefull for any manufacturer who puts out a wide mouth jar sealer. However, you will most likely need to engineer something to help make a proper seal to the jar. I use other stuff. But the proper sized hose clamp would probably work great.

Answer: Looks like it will. I hooked mine to a AC vacuum pump and works good. But use name brand of the lids to try cause not all lids will work due to quality.

BEWARE - the Freshkeeper DOES NOT WORK on Ball or Kerr jars, sadly. I've worked with Oliso & tried 2 different Freshkeepers but could not get a jar to seal using either Ball or Kerr wide-mouth jars. My old FoodSaver Lid Sealer worked every time on the same jar/lid combos.

Hose ends do not fit in Foodsaver 2244. It claims to fit all major vacuum sealers, but doesn’t fit one of the biggest named ones. Returning immediately. Foodsaver lids came back in stock, so I will be buying them instead.

Great product, if you need the wide mouth option. After starting with a regular mouth jar sealer, I find my self wanting to use the wide mouth jars, as well, for vacuum storage of partially used packages of dried goods, like pasta. It also has a neat lid opener that is much better than fingernails. The unit did not seal a Ball jar out of the box. However, the thick lip can easily be modified to make good contact with the jar.

I really wanted to use this, I really did. But it doesn’t fit any mason jar lid I have found. Is there a wide mouth normal size I’m not aware of? I live in the the south. Canning is life here. Shouldn’t be this hard to find something that fits. Any suggestions from you guys before I return this?

Update 6/23/20: I have tried as many as 30 times to seal a jar. I might be able to seal 2 out of 10 jars before giving up. Foodsaver wide mouth jar sealer is back in stock on the Foodsaver site. It sealed 1st time and every time with no problems. I have a non name brand machine with a hose attachment. WAIT FOR A FOODSAVER JAR SEALER! !st Review: I got this because there are no Foodsaver Jar Sealers available, not even for back order. I guess the pandemic has us all thinking about long term food storage. Even with good directions there was a learning curve. My vacuum sealer machine (not a name brand) came with the hose attachment. I'm glad it did because the hose that came with the Oliso had 2 male ends. I need a female end to attach to the machine. It took me 4 tries to get my 1st 16 oz mason jar sealed. The 2nd jar took 2 tries. The 3rd and last jar was not cooperating at all, but I got it done. When you learn how to hold your mouth just right (eg what you are doing wrong), it takes a little under 2 minutes to seal with my no name machine. You can remove the Oliso without dislodging the lid. You see that the "button" is sucked down and then you screw on the ring. I'm a little excited. With my new dehydrator, I was able to store 5 lbs of frozen mixed vegetables in 3 lttle jars! Next? Potatoes, tomatoes, apples.....

Doesn't work. I followed the directions to a T. It will not form a vacuum or seal. I would look elsewhere for a different product. This comment was deleted for what ever reason. That is kind of cowardly of Amazon to do for the seller. I tried to return the product but it costs as much for the return as it does for the item. So I tried to repair their defective product. Even with washers and gaskets you cannot make this product work. I think the substandard plastic like rubber they use is not effective. I would not trust this with food even if you got yours to work.

This thing is horrible don't waste your money. The instructions say to twist on and then twist off but whenever I twist it off it pops the lid off with it. I only had success with 2 out of 12 jars! Argh.

I was skeptical about this thing working. I tried it with one of my FoodSaver canister machines and it didn't work with that. So I tried it with the regular FoodSaver machine and it work perfectly with that, yay! Just place it onto the jar, screw it down and you're off. This does NOT work with the Tattler lids, though, because the lids are a little too thick.
I don't know why it said it was delivered Saturday. It just came today. Thank you.

Works great I reinvented the wheel and used a vacuum pump for an air conditioner to hook up to it but it vacuums down pretty fast and it's really good. Also would be very good for doing marinades
