Answer: It only works with wide mouth jars. But it works well. Worked with both my FoodSaver and Ziplock brand vacuum sealers. I am very happy

Answer: I have not but I would not recommend it. You really need a strong pump and possibly an O ring kit. I don’t think you are going to get that seal and pressure with a brake bleeder.
Answer: A evac pump for air conditioners would be more effective as in much stronger.

Does it work with Foodsaver 2244?
Answer: It should work with any FoodSaver with a vacuum port. It also worked with my Ziplock brand vacuum sealer
Answer: No it will not, the nipple on the hose will not touch the sides of the port on my food saver much less make a seal.

Does this work with the nutrichef pkvs188k?
Answer: It has the potential to work with your sealer. Nutrichef calls the connection point the "vacuum nozzel." The jar sealer comes with the needed hose. FYI! Please see the other reviews. I am gratefull for any manufacturer who puts out a wide mouth jar sealer. However, you will most likely need to engineer something to help make a proper seal to the jar. I use other stuff. But the proper sized hose clamp would probably work great.
Answer: Looks like it will. I hooked mine to a AC vacuum pump and works good. But use name brand of the lids to try cause not all lids will work due to quality.

Nat : It works, if you want it to.
Great product, if you need the wide mouth option. After starting with a regular mouth jar sealer, I find my self wanting to use the wide mouth jars, as well, for vacuum storage of partially used packages of dried goods, like pasta. It also has a neat lid opener that is much better than fingernails. The unit did not seal a Ball jar out of the box. However, the thick lip can easily be modified to make good contact with the jar.

Works awesome, I have not had any issues with the attachment, infact I wish they sold one for a regular mouth jar too. I have a food saver vacuum sealer and just use the hose that came with the food saver(I'll reserve the hose that came with the lid for when the food saver hose gives out) with no issues. I've used Bernardin, Ball, and Golden Harvest with the attachment. I even love how it has the lid opener built on it so you don't ruin your lids trying to open them with a knife.

Doesn't work. I followed the directions to a T. It will not form a vacuum or seal. I would look elsewhere for a different product. This comment was deleted for what ever reason. That is kind of cowardly of Amazon to do for the seller. I tried to return the product but it costs as much for the return as it does for the item. So I tried to repair their defective product. Even with washers and gaskets you cannot make this product work. I think the substandard plastic like rubber they use is not effective. I would not trust this with food even if you got yours to work.

I don't understand the reviews about it working for regular mouth jars, IT DOESN'T. It works perfectly for wide mouth. You do not put the band on, just the lid and twist down. It holds it in place perfectly, then you put the jar band on. However I use this with the PROGRESSIVE FOOD SAVER. It may work differently with the machine it was intended for.
Also if you use it with the Progressive Food Saver, you will need to use the white attachment that comes with the original food saver jar sealer because this one has a different attachment for their machine.

In my previous review, I said the following: "I would have given 1 star, but maybe the attachment works with the Oliso brand sealer. Who knows? The description said it would work with my food sealer. It doesn't, not even a little. It doesn't produce any seal at all on wide mouth jars. I am going to try for a refund."
I have since added another star. I thought about 4 stars, and decided that 3 was good, because even though the attachment is compatible with food saver, it isn't totally compatible with Kerr mason jars.
So I got creative and made it work. Here's how:
1. place jar seal on jar without the ring, attach the oliso jar accessory
2. wrap the Oliso accessory and top of jar with plastic wrap. Secure snugly with a rubber band. The rubber band should sit under the Oliso, kind of tucked under to create a seal.
3. poke a small hole where the port goes.
4. attach the port and press go.
when the food saver is re-opened (maybe this depends on your foodsaver model), you should hear the clink of a sealed jar.

I finally decided to try it on a different brand jar and to my surprise it worked on the first try. On closer inspection, I realized that the 2 Kerr jars had a flatter, wider ring/lip under the threads than the Ball jars that I was using (see pics). I then searched through my Ball jars and discovered that there are differences in that lip between the Ball brand jars. Ones with a flatter lip seal, ones with the tapered lip will not. I have been canning for decades and some of these Ball jars are over 20 years old, so it's quite possible that's the difference.

When I first purchased this Item it was ok. NOW ,,,, it won't even hold a suction to seal anything ! I followed the directions to the T and still it will not seal . Not impressed .

I like this better than the Foodsaver brand that I bought! The main reason is that this screws on and off of the jar you are sealing so there is no wrestling with it to remove it from the jar! Foodsaver has to be really wrestled to remove and sometimes the sealed lid will come off with it!

I bought this to check if it would work with the NESCO VS-12. Happy to say it does! I turned on my brand new NESCO VS-12 and then attached the snug fitting by pressing and twisting, but I did not have a jar ready to 'trial run'. So after trying to squeeze the inlet under the suction cap to check for suction,,, I gave up and had a 'light bulb' moment. Stuck that sucker to the side of my stomach, smacked the on button and was left with a dumb looking pink ring of pain LOL! Pretty sure it'll have blood on the surface of my skin. Definitely a good product and it works very well with the VS-12!!!!

Absolute piece of garbage. If it were some $1.99 accessory, I might have some empathy with the company, but for twenty freaking dollars I expect a product like this to work without Mickey Mousing around with it for half a freaking hour. I read some other reviews (should’ve done that first, ffs) and tried the rubber band(s). They did not work for me. I finally found a zip tie, and then had to spray the the inside of the sealer’s rubber with cooking spray to get a seal that did not tear the lid right back off as soon as I removed the sealer. If there were a similar product here that I could find, I would return this piece of gou shi (and I still might), but I didn’t have time to fiddle-fart around. I had jars to seal, and this workaround *finally* made that happen. 0/100. Not shiny. Not solid.

It works well with OEM Ball and Kerr lids. China knock off lids do not seal well. So far I have not had any china cheep lids that would seal and hold more than a few minutes. Choose U.S. made Ball and Kerr lids and it is easy to use this jar vacuum sealer.
