What's the mechanism of this thing?

Answer: It heats to melt the bags a little and then stick them together. So it works better to thinner bags, for the thicker you need to hold longer but not too long, pretty tricky.

Any advise about this product?

Answer: Pull out batteries when not using it for long time, and you know, the thinner bags, the better result.

It's a great way to re-seal plastic bags so you don't have to transfer the food into another zip-lock bag...will save a lot of plastic from going into the ocean! Hey...every person can do their part! As it is so unique, it makes a great gift for that someone who just THINKS they have everything! I highly recommend. I do recommend that you keep it away from children who might touch the heating element (alho' this might be unlikely).

Due to this pandemic we’re in, this product is more important now than ever before! She purchased this sealer and has used it many times! I bought this for the little blade because I open a million Amazon packages and don't want a boxcutter hanging around because I have a 3 year old (also apparently using kitchen knives to tear down boxes is not appropriate). This little guy hangs on the fridge and is so handy to have at the ready. The sealing function is just an added bonus because we take weeks to go through a bag of chips.

Keeps everything fresh, it is a good sturdy size. I have dropped it twice but it still works the same . The magnet is really strong. It has helped me to buy bulk so i have less grocery trips with keeping my dry foods from getting stale. The box cutter is very handy too.

* Must learn how to use it (learning curve; but once you learn it, it's very easy)

Was easy to use. And easy to put batteries in. Works well on sealing thin or Terracycle (chip bags) but it didn’t work for what I bought it for. (Thicker plastic, just doesn’t heat up enough to seal them.) Small and easy to store. Has loop to hang on hook if want or a magnet on the back to pop it on the fridge. The box cutter has nice protection so you don’t accidentally cut yourself until your ready to use it.

This product works great what I do is cut the top of the bag off and running across the clean cut and it seals perfectly would highly recommended by again.

I wish I found out about this product earlier! I love how it's cheap, light, easy to use, and does its job perfectly! It keeps any snacks fresh/crisp for days! The ceiling part does get decently hot. So do not touch the metal part when it's heated.

This little device is so convenient for resealing your open bag of chips, cheese, or cereal. It won’t reseal if the plastic is to thick and will melt through if it’s to thin, but that’s a simple fix. For thicker plastics like chips ???? Cut off any plastic that’s not needed and DONT fold over, but for thinner plastic like cereal bags fold once or twice then seal.
