Answer: It heats to melt the bags a little and then stick them together. So it works better to thinner bags, for the thicker you need to hold longer but not too long, pretty tricky.

Answer: Pull out batteries when not using it for long time, and you know, the thinner bags, the better result.

If there is a trick to getting this to fully close something with only one run across, someone please enlighten me. I need to make 2-3 passes to completely close something. The blade part works well, though.

This thing is a life saver, we get ants pretty bad in our apartment and if you leave anything open they are there quicker then you can turn around to fix it, so now whenever anyone eats chips they are required to reseal the bag. It just takes a moment to heat up the sealer then you roll it across your bag, it opens just as easily as the first time you opened the bag, and the little toll comes with a cute little knife just in case you can't get the bag open.

Was easy to use. And easy to put batteries in. Works well on sealing thin or Terracycle (chip bags) but it didn’t work for what I bought it for. (Thicker plastic, just doesn’t heat up enough to seal them.) Small and easy to store. Has loop to hang on hook if want or a magnet on the back to pop it on the fridge. The box cutter has nice protection so you don’t accidentally cut yourself until your ready to use it.

This compact sealer it’s pretty good for small bags but I noticed that for large bags it gets too hot and rip the bag also notice that you have to run in quickly otherwise I will rip the bag otherwise it does the job for small bags

Super easy to use! I love that this mini heat sealer is battery operated. It works great for sealing bags of chips! So much nicer than using chip clips. It has a magnet in the back so you just pop it on your fridge and it’s there wherever you need it. Like many other reviews have said, it’s one of those things you didn’t know you needed!

Holy cow!! This is one of the most amazing gadgets. I hate how chip bags don’t have a zip lock closure and we never seem to have any chip clips around when we need them. Because it has a magnet on it, I keep mine on the refrigerator, which is right by the pantry. After we are done eating chips, we grab this and seal the bag back up. Keeps items fresh all the time!! It is small and doesn’t take up a lot of room, but works like a charm. I also like that is has a little box knife available too, to open packages. Love it!!

I bought this for the little blade because I open a million Amazon packages and don't want a boxcutter hanging around because I have a 3 year old (also apparently using kitchen knives to tear down boxes is not appropriate). Small and compact it fits easily on the fridge with the magnet on the back. Very easy to use. It has a piece that slides back so you can seal a bag and then slide the piece back in place to keep the sealing surfaces separate.

It works! Takes a second to get used to and will burn a hole if you’re not careful. The smell is a little scary - makes you think the little thing is gonna combust but otherwise works as intended. Will hopefully keep my half bags of chips fresher than a simple chip clip.

This is something that I didn’t think I needed and now can’t live without. Sometimes you want a handful of animal crackers and that’s it. I used this on a bag I opened three months ago, sealed it and reopened the bag today. It’s still fresh and has a crunch. I couldn’t believe it. I’ve been using this all year and we are amazed at how great it is.

Keeps everything fresh, it is a good sturdy size. I have dropped it twice but it still works the same . The magnet is really strong. It has helped me to buy bulk so i have less grocery trips with keeping my dry foods from getting stale. The box cutter is very handy too.

I love this little machine. It does what it says it going to do. For big bags, you have to seal from the middle to one end and then go to the middle and do the other end (at least thats what i do). It seals it tight. If the bag is too thick, it won't seal but otherwise it does the job.
