Are these Weston 11x16 " sealer food bags...11" across? My Foodsaver can only seal bags up to 11".
Answer: Yes, they measure 11" wide and 16" long. They are a great prodcuct made by Weston. The Weston bags are cheaper from Amazon than they are on the Weston website! Believe me, I did a 'price comparison' at many different websites and found Amazon prices to be the best. I hope the information helped!:)
Answer: I don't have a ruler handy, but they are longer than wide, so I assume that would be 11." Love these bags, by the way!!

can i serve boiling food in these bags?
Answer: I would not consider doing that at all. You could warm food in them but again be aware of the harmful chemicals released when they are heated. I would not do either, boiling or heating.
Answer: I know you can boil the sealed bags in water to reheat or thaw.

Answer: These work exceedingly well as long as you keep them clean of hard food items which might dry on them. Just clean them gently with a paper towel. I recommend them highly. Made in China
Answer: I am not sure, very few products are Made In the USA. These are heavy duty, well made and I am very happy with them.

I have purchased from an online distributor before and was having nearly a 30% failure rate. I was doubtful about these and thought i may have to just go ahead and buy foodsaver brand bags. I read a few of the other reviews and decided to try them out. I have not had one fail yet, of the 20 that i used. I am sold and will continue to buy these.

These bags work better in our FoodSaver than the actual FoodSaver branded bags and rolls do. They seal the first time, everytime. Also, they seem to make it easier for the FoodSaver to get all the air out. We have used them for rabbits and chickens so far and are quite pleased with both the size of the bags and the excellent quality. Will be ordering again!

I bought these instead of using rolls. They worked great. Good seal, large capacity at a good price.Now I need some of the smaller size.

These seal tight with no air but eventually allow air back in over time in the freezer ruining whatever food you store in them. It isn't a user issue either because I use the the same way I use my Food Saver brand bags and I don't have issues with those.

High quality bags that can fit large quantities of food for Sous Vide. The Costco babyback ribs do not quite fit in this package until you cut them in half but a whole ham or a medium sized turkey would be just fine. Able to vacuum seal or to just clip to side and the meals have all turned out delicious. Not one bag has broken or leaked yet.

Have used these bags before and received them in a box and the bag holding the sealing bags was sealed.these came in an open bag. Am surprised and it almost seems that someone tried them, didn't like them and sent them back. The 8x12 I ordered and that came from Amazon.com were in a box and the bag holding the sealing bags was sealed. I don't like receiving anything that appears to have been opened by someone else.As to the quality of these bags I will update this review if they are inferior to what I had previously received. I did compare this bag with an older bag and it appears to be thinner and the waffle part that is supposed to allow the air to escape has a totally different appearance...the same with the new 8x12 bags.

Not only is this product more economical than brand name vacuum packaging, it is more flexible, making it easier to use and store packaged foods.
Naked Dog : Great to vacuum pack roasts and birds
This bag is heavy enough to package the really big stuff, like a nice prime rib or plump roasting chicken. It holds a vacuum extremely well and is much thicker than bags made for smaller home vacuum packagers.

Been a Foodsaver customers for 10 years+. I love my Foodsaver. Used Foodsaver only bags with my machines throughout the years. And the pre-cut bags are a hit and miss. Sealing up 40 pounds of Halibut into multiple bags (90 bags to be exact) it would be every 3rd or 4th or 5th one that would not seal, in essence quite a few would have to be thrown out (15+ bags). I just dealt with it as that is the way it was. When I read that these bags which are not a Foodsaver brand, sealed with no issues I decided to buy it and give it a try. Not only are the bags so much more cheaper than the Foodsaver Bag (even on discount), but IT IS TRUE every single bag has sealed. I have ordered these bags and smaller sizes many times and NOT ONE bag has ever not sealed. Don't know why, don't really care. They work better than Foodsaver bags and are cheaper. Never have I ever bought another Foodsaver bag again since buying these.

What came was a 50 ft. roll, not the 100 ct. as advertised. If you can not advertise what is actually being shipped then do not advertise the product.

The worst part about owning a FoodSaver/Vacuum System is the cost of the bags. I have come to prefer the Weston bags over the FoodSaver(FS) bags. I own a FoodSaver Brand vacuum sealer and started using Weston bags and rolls almost exclusively about a year ago. The cost savings is quite substantial. Compared to FS, the bags do not feel as thick, and they do not have the same "waxy" feel. Weston bags and rolls seem to seal a lot better as well, and I have not had nearly as many seal failures as compared to the FS bags.
V. Parker : Better than FoodSaver at half the cost...
Well, it's hunting season again, and that means stocking up on vacuum sealer materials. I usually buy Foodsaver brand and make my own bags. However, last year I bought some of the pint sized from Weston, and found them to be superior in quality - less expensive and held a seal better. I decided to try the bigger size bags, so I bought both the quart and the gallon size. Even in the bigger sizes, these are better than Foodsaver. Do the math and you'll find that these are about half the price when you see how many of the same size bags a roll makes, and it's so nice to have the bags all ready to go. I also like the bag material better - it's smoother and easier to handle. Try them - you won't be disappointed!

Great bags, we have sealed over 100LB of meat so far using these bags with our Weston sealer and we have not had one single failure! NOTE: I have not tried these bags with any other sealer than the Weston Pro-2300 sealer..

These are also known as 1/2 gallon size, and we keep pint, quart and 1/2 gallon size food sealer bags on hand to handle all our needs with our Weston sealer.
I buy 2# blocks of cheese which we cold smoke, and I cut a 2# block into 6 pieces, and 2-3 of them fit in these bags perfectly (once they are smoked they need to age a couple months). These bags prevent in the small fridge we put them in to age.
These are great quality and arrived in very short time, packed well and in good shape.
I'm a BBQ/smoker kind of guy - so these are also great for marinating meats for BBQ for one or two servings...

I purchased 3 different sizes. They are great! For years, I would only buy Foodsaver brand bags, thinking they would be the best for a Foodsaver sealer. I was wrong. With the Foodsaver bags, you take your chance every time you use them, some times they work, sometimes they don't . They don't always hold a seal. I love my vacuum sealer, but just figured that this is the way it was with the bags.
With these bags, they work EVERY TIME! I love it. And because they are so much economical than the Foodsaver bags, I don't feel the need to "conserve" them, I can use them all the time ... and I do!
