Does it use batteries or plug into the wall?

Answer: No batteries required! ! Just simply use it to plug into the power outlet, wait for 30 Seconds for the sealer preheating, then place the open end of the bag into the sealer, press the sealer just for second, start to sealing, then operation completed!

Will this work on bags of salad?

Answer: I just tested it on an iceberg lettuce salad bag and it worked. It did NOT work on the bag of Krusteaz pancake mix, however (not that you asked).

Answer: I have used the heat sealer on a lot of different plastic bags. If the salad bag is very thin, be careful not to hold the sealer on too long as it may melt the plastic instead of sealing it.

Answer: I haven’t use it on shrink wrap but it does get really hot and melt the plastic

Can this be used on bubble wrap padding to make envelopes?

Answer: I believe so. I use it with ziploc bags and many other material. Main thing is to pay attention to the heat. This product will reach a high heat so some times it is best, on lighter materials, to use it while its heating up the as it cools.

Does it work for shrink wrap bags?

Answer: Sorry, this product cannot shrink packaging bags.

Answer: This heat sealer only comes by itself. I'm sure that you can foind bags to use with it. BUT this heat sealer is terrific for resealing snack bags, and almost any plastic bag that you want to keep the insides fresh. I have used it to seal different bags and even to make air pillows for packages that I need to mail or ship. I sealed some contractor trash bags and used them to insulate furniture being shipped interstate. For the price, This is a great tool to have in the house.

Van this be used for shink wrap?

Answer: I would say that this item can be used with a wide variety of materials though personally, I wouldn't use it with shrinkwrap. Perhaps one could but you'd have to test for timing. Shrinkwrap would barely take a second to join together and form a seal. It would also depend on how your using it.

How wide a bag can this seal?

Answer: The width is a little bigger than the tube of peanuts you get in a convenience store. I just seal it from one side and then flip the bag and seal it from the other. I was really surprised at how well it worked to be honest. And a small size is nice because it's not cumbersome to store. It seals so quickly that having to do it twice once from each side is not a hassle at all.

Can this seal plastic popsicle bags?

Answer: That's what it's for. It's small. I sealed 50 bads for a bridal shower. You have to let it warm up for a long time (10 mins) and then squeeze the ends together. I used a silicon glove to hold it tight. Held it for 60 seconds and voila, they came out looking really professional.

This thing really does seal it's small it's Compact and it comes in its own container the moment we got it we sealed every bag that we possibly could it does not seal cereal bags for some reason and after a couple times of sealing bags it became a little unbearably hot so be cautious when using this because it does get really warm and you have to put your hand up towards the top to hold it tight it does what it says it does it just gets a little warm for my liking but I would recommend this product

It's great if you're going to seal things for a while but things you use everyday no I wouldn't use it everyday. It seals up some of the bags so well I couldn't even get them open without cutting them. So something you use everyday I rather use a bag clip. So does it work well yes what I used it for

Heats up quickly, but slightly inconvenient to use for bags you want to reopen and try to close again because you're not finished using it up yet, once reopened, it's difficult to open without ripping the bag... Best for chip bag type of plastic. Thinner type of plastic melts onto the sealer and then has to be scraped off when cooled. It does seal like it says, a good product for the money, it just depends on what you want to seal.. No bread bags or Ziplock brand type of plastic.

This isn't bad, but it doesn't need much time before it becomes too hot. I find that I have to unplug it and let it cool down or it melts and destroys. The upper part also gets very hot to the touch. The case it comes in is convenient. The cord is detachable, and I haven't decided if that's good or bad, if I lose it, I suspect not great, but if it gets damaged, I suspect it's nice that I can easily replace it. On the fence with this product. It's great for fast easy work, maybe not great for sustained projects unless you want to turn it off and on, which is simple enough to do with the side switch.

Fast and easy to use for sealing chips so it doesn't become stale. Also I use it for craft projects. It comes with clear case to store the heat sealer which helps with organization. I also like how they have the sliding button to hold the item in place so you don't have to wait and clamp the item together.

Came right on time. Item works perfectly after I realized I hadn't plugged it into the right socket. Doesn't take long to heat up and once hot, it takes, literally, a fraction of a second to do the sealing on a 3 mil plastic bag 2 in wide for homemade ice pops. It takes practice but well worth the effort for your particular project.

This heat sealer works, but it’s finicky. You can’t adjust the temperature, and the longer it’s plugged in, the hotter it gets. You constantly have to adjust the amount of time it takes to seal the same bags. For example, after waiting 30 seconds for the unit to heat up as instructed, it would take me about 10 seconds to seal each bag. As I could feel it heating up I would change it to 5 seconds. After 3 minutes or so of use, it would start to stick to the bags and melt them after 3 seconds, so I would unplug it and wait a few seconds before resuming. This sealer would work great if you only needed to use it once or twice per session, but is not great to seal a lot at once. Also keep in mind the heating plate is only about 3 inches long, so I had to seal each of my small bags twice. Overall, you get what you pay for, and it works about as well as I would expect for $10.

This made the goody bags look professional. You need to let it warm up for about 5 minutes. Even crimping each one I set a timer for 60 seconds. I used an oven mitt to hold it tightly closed and it worked great. Took a little figuring out, but once I did, it worked great.

I found that the first time I used the sealer that I didn't let it heat up enough. The seals that I was making easily pulled apart. The thickness of the bag being sealed also matters. Because it has multiple crimps, it does make a more efficient seal even if the two sides of the seals aren't fused together. So even though my seals were coming apart easily, my product was still fresh in the bag. Once I allowed the sealer to heat up for a good 10 minutes, I was able to get a better seal. I mostly use this to seal in cookies in small cello treat bags.

There isn't anything I dislike about the product! I love love love that it comes with its own sleek storing case. The texture to both the device and the cord is super smooth. Within 30 seconds the temp heats up enough to begin. I originally bought this for the sole purpose of packaging baked goods I mail out. We are getting ready to move toanother state and am packing household goods into containers. I needed to make some air bags to sere as cushioning for the items in the container. So I looked for a handheld bag sealer that I could use to seal thick 55 gallon bags into air cushions. I admit that the seller did not sell this item for that use, but I have to say that it worked very well. I made up sealed bags leaving a small opening to insert a vacuum hose to inflate the bags. Worked better than I could have hoped. OH, The sealer also is an excellent tool for resealing snack bags and keeps the snacks fresh until you reopen the bag. You can reseal the bags as many times as needed. This is a Great tool to have.
