Answer: I personally would only ever use this bag after using something cooked, I would not wash it and reuse it after it having raw food in it. It’s quite easy to rinse out, and it can withstand hot water if you’re rinsing it after freezing some thing, but again, I personally would not use it after storing Raw food in it, that’s just tempting fate. I often smoke salmon, and store it in the refrigerator or freezer so I can use it like you would canned salmon, and I happily rinse out the bags and reuse them for that purpose, and for the same item so it doesn’t transfer flavors

Truth be told, this product DID come with a gift card offer (in exchange for a review), BUT it actually worked pretty well! For the price, it’s a pretty great vacuum sealer, and the suction is relatively strong for a portable device!
I also liked that you could have it plugged in to charge AND use it at the same time; and I liked that you could disassemble it to clean it after each use, which I found especially helpful after vacuum sealing a bag of raw meat lol (see photo for how it disassembles).
Helpful tip: if vacuum sealing something “juicy” or liquid-y, I recommend laying a small piece of paper towel over the air valve then suctioning. With this device, you’re supposed to avoiding sucking up any liquid into it as much as possible, so the paper towel catches any liquids. (If you watch the video I attached, it shows what I’m talking about).
Anyway, I definitely recommend giving this device a try!

So far i'm pretty happy with it. Have several items in the crisper drawer that were sealed and opened and resealed with no spoilage. Only one small bag doesn't seem to hold. Maybe i didn't have the seam pressed together securely. Still use my larger sealer of the heavy duty items, but this is great for the smaller left overs. I purchased this vacuum sealer to use in our camper to seal blankets and pillows in the jumbo storage bags. It works so much better than I expected! It was charged when it arrived so I used it right away. I plan on ordering different bags to seal food in but these seem like they will work great. I am so happy with this little tool! Here's why:
1. I CAN SEE MY VEGETABLES
I was wrapping my fruits and veggies in bamboo paper towels, inside green bags, with a little sticky note inside saying what's in the bag. I couldn't tell how fresh anything was and I wasted too much. It was also a hassle to clean the towels (which would stain easily) so I could reuse them. The main thing about being able to see the produce though, is that I'm much more inclined to remember why I bought them and actually use them up in good time.
2. PRODUCE HAS A SMALLER FOOTPRINT IN THE FRIDGE
I'm vegan and have pet rabbits, so there are always lots of veggies in the fridge. Now instead of bags I had to clip closed and couldn't see through, there are just these plastic bags with all the air squeezed out. So much easier to keep track of everything, and makes more space in the fridge.
3. EASY TO USE
This little device is super easy to use and has a steady suction. Plug it into the USB and it's ready to go a few hours later. Seal the bag with the little clip and then run your finger along the zipper to make sure it's sealed, find a flat place to center the vacuum port under the tool, push the button. A few seconds and it's done.
4. CONVENIENT BAG SIZES
I bought an extra bag of gallon sized bags that work beautifully for heads of cabbage and cauliflower. I did have to cut them into wedges to get the whole head into one bag, but it would work just as well to cut the head in half and put the halves in two bags. I do like all of one veggie to be in one bag, so that's why the wedges. The gallon size also works well with 2-3 sweet peppers, lettuce, kale, and cut veggies like celery, carrots, and green onions. The gallon size bags are a must, in my opinion.
I also bought an extra bag of quart sized bags, which is just perfect for things like beets, green beans, broccoli, mini carrots, zucchini, half an onion (no smell!), a bag of pre-peeled garlic, and cherry tomatoes (so far). I have not tried tender greens such as cilantro and basil, or half an avocado, but I will!
Be sure and look up which veggies can be vacuum sealed with no prep, and which ones (like the brassicas) that have to be blanched first.
This little vacuum device could be called a revolution in the kitchen, it's that good. And the price is great too!

This is a past due invention, sure Zip Locks are great but this is so much better for saving foods longer and fresher. I think the best feature is that the bags are reusable. It's porable so you can take it traveling or out on picnics.

The bags seem to hold a seal OK. I’ve reused a couple after washing with no problems.
The rechargeable vac works fine, too. I have a manual suction that came with a previous purchase that I frequently reach for when I have two hands free. When I need one hand to stabilize the bag, the powered pump is handy. Sometimes I use it just to play.
All in all, glad I bought this set.

Mike Carter : Works with old-school vacuum canister
I bought this for an older Foodsaver vacuum canister, hoping that the mouth of the vacuum was small enough to fit around the 1/4" port on the canister. It ended up working perfectly, and I can now vacuum seal my coffee beans without getting out the huge Foodsaver bag sealer and vacuum tube to do so.
