I often smoke salmon, and store it in the refrigerator or freezer so I can use it like you would canned salmon, and I happily rinse out the bags and reuse them for that purpose, and for the same item so it doesn’t transfer flavors

I received this product as a birthday gift from my wish list. It is amazing! It is compact, super easy to use and a great value for the money! I have looked at vacuum sealers that use rolls of plastic. They all would take up a lot of counter space. This model can fit into a kitchen drawer. I eat a giant salad every day. I batch prep my greens and veggies. This vacuum sealer has great suction power and sucks all the air out of the bag. And, then the bag can be resealed each day! It saves space in my refrigerator too. I wish I had found this product a year ago. But I'm so very happy to have it now. I highly recommend this product as a fabulous substitution to the expensive counter top sealers.

- getting the bags themselves to stay sealed afterwards can be a problem. I've had some bags appear sealed perfectly but then they've let air in overnight while in a drawer. This is even after smoothing over the suction hole as the directions specified.
- It can be tough to figure out when the device is sucking just right. You'll start using it and the bag won't appear to be doing anything, so then you wiggle it around and you'll see the bag start moving.
These are minor issues and I think this product is still a great value for the money. I use it in my kitchen to seal all sorts of stuff now and it's been handy.

I purchased this vacuum sealer to use in our camper to seal blankets and pillows in the jumbo storage bags. It works so much better than I expected! I was wrapping my fruits and veggies in bamboo paper towels, inside green bags, with a little sticky note inside saying what's in the bag. I couldn't tell how fresh anything was and I wasted too much. It was also a hassle to clean the towels (which would stain easily) so I could reuse them. The main thing about being able to see the produce though, is that I'm much more inclined to remember why I bought them and actually use them up in good time.
2. PRODUCE HAS A SMALLER FOOTPRINT IN THE FRIDGE
I'm vegan and have pet rabbits, so there are always lots of veggies in the fridge. Now instead of bags I had to clip closed and couldn't see through, there are just these plastic bags with all the air squeezed out. So much easier to keep track of everything, and makes more space in the fridge.

This little device is super easy to use and has a steady suction. Plug it into the USB and it's ready to go a few hours later. Seal the bag with the little clip and then run your finger along the zipper to make sure it's sealed, find a flat place to center the vacuum port under the tool, push the button. 4. CONVENIENT BAG SIZES
I bought an extra bag of gallon sized bags that work beautifully for heads of cabbage and cauliflower. I did have to cut them into wedges to get the whole head into one bag, but it would work just as well to cut the head in half and put the halves in two bags. I do like all of one veggie to be in one bag, so that's why the wedges. The gallon size also works well with 2-3 sweet peppers, lettuce, kale, and cut veggies like celery, carrots, and green onions. The gallon size bags are a must, in my opinion.
I also bought an extra bag of quart sized bags, which is just perfect for things like beets, green beans, broccoli, mini carrots, zucchini, half an onion (no smell!), a bag of pre-peeled garlic, and cherry tomatoes (so far). I have not tried tender greens such as cilantro and basil, or half an avocado, but I will!
Be sure and look up which veggies can be vacuum sealed with no prep, and which ones (like the brassicas) that have to be blanched first.
This little vacuum device could be called a revolution in the kitchen, it's that good. And the price is great too!

The suction is pretty powerful, it's a much needed upgrade to my manual food vacuum sealer. It comes with a few freezer bags, but I'd definitely recommend getting a variety pack of freezer bags.

I like the idea of reducing food waste; I cook every day and there are only 2 of us now, so it seems that I throw away so much stuff, especially produce, every week. So far, I've used this for raisins that I don't use often, so will store in the fridge, and for green peppers which seem to get slimy quickly. I like it so far. One hint: when you start vacuuming, watch for the little "flap" to be pulled up by the suction. Also, the unit didn't stop when I thought it should (it says it will stop when it senses that all of the air is out), but it looked sufficient, so I just turned it off. Just need to develop a habit of using it more, I think I will love it.

Great price and value. As others have stated, it takes a bit of trial and error to get the pump to seat and seal in order to vacuum the air out, but once you get it, it works great. Pulls a good vacuum. Depending. On the bags you use, there are several bags that will work with this, you my have to check and re-vacume the bag. Again this is not a fault with the pump but with the bags. So if you find your bag is not holding a seal, replace the bag. This is a great option for those things I use frequently like crackers and cheeses. It will pull a good vacume but not crush the crackers. Again, great value for price. Would highly recommend.
