It’s quite easy to rinse out, and it can withstand hot water if you’re rinsing it after freezing some thing, but again, I personally would not use it after storing Raw food in it, that’s just tempting fate. I often smoke salmon, and store it in the refrigerator or freezer so I can use it like you would canned salmon, and I happily rinse out the bags and reuse them for that purpose, and for the same item so it doesn’t transfer flavors

Haven't had it that long, but as soon as I got it, I got busy repackaging items in my fridge and freezer. Not sure why there are negative reviews because if you follow the directions it works great. I have had no problem with the bags not sealing or not enough suction. This will definitely reduce food waste. I like the idea of reducing food waste; I cook every day and there are only 2 of us now, so it seems that I throw away so much stuff, especially produce, every week. So far, I've used this for raisins that I don't use often, so will store in the fridge, and for green peppers which seem to get slimy quickly. I like it so far. One hint: when you start vacuuming, watch for the little "flap" to be pulled up by the suction. Also, the unit didn't stop when I thought it should (it says it will stop when it senses that all of the air is out), but it looked sufficient, so I just turned it off. Just need to develop a habit of using it more, I think I will love it.

This vacuum sealer is so easy to use, has great suction for its compact size, and is a great value for the money. And it kept my slab of bacon fresh, in the fridge, for two weeks!

Excellent product! Works much better than a name brand that I have used for years. Came very nicely packaged, nice set of starter bags, quickly shipped, and was charged enough for me to use right away. The suction power was easily as good as a more high-end product. I have a sous vide for which I needed a vacuum sealer, but I have very little counter space left. This is a great solution for that problem, as it performs the function without taking up the space.
Note, I docked a star because the suction can take a second to get just right on the bag's seal, and if you have liquid in the bag, it'll try to suck it up.

I purchased this vacuum sealer to use in our camper to seal blankets and pillows in the jumbo storage bags. It works so much better than I expected! It was charged when it arrived so I used it right away. I plan on ordering different bags to seal food in but these seem like they will work great. Easy to use and comes apart if it needs to be cleaned.

If you're looking for a solid, cheap way to vacuum seal some food, this is a good option. It's easy to use and gets the job done. I only have a few small gripes:
- getting the bags themselves to stay sealed afterwards can be a problem. I've had some bags appear sealed perfectly but then they've let air in overnight while in a drawer. This is even after smoothing over the suction hole as the directions specified.
- It can be tough to figure out when the device is sucking just right. You'll start using it and the bag won't appear to be doing anything, so then you wiggle it around and you'll see the bag start moving.
These are minor issues and I think this product is still a great value for the money. I use it in my kitchen to seal all sorts of stuff now and it's been handy.

The suction is pretty powerful, it's a much needed upgrade to my manual food vacuum sealer. It comes with a few freezer bags, but I'd definitely recommend getting a variety pack of freezer bags.

The bags seem to hold a seal OK. I’ve reused a couple after washing with no problems.
The rechargeable vac works fine, too. I have a manual suction that came with a previous purchase that I frequently reach for when I have two hands free. When I need one hand to stabilize the bag, the powered pump is handy. Sometimes I use it just to play.
All in all, glad I bought this set.

KAM : Wish I'd have ordered this a long time ago!
Haven't had it that long, but as soon as I got it, I got busy repackaging items in my fridge and freezer. Not sure why there are negative reviews because if you follow the directions it works great. I have had no problem with the bags not sealing or not enough suction. This will definitely reduce food waste. Overall I am happy with this product so far and for the price you really just can't go wrong.
Mike Carter : Works with old-school vacuum canister
I bought this for an older Foodsaver vacuum canister, hoping that the mouth of the vacuum was small enough to fit around the 1/4" port on the canister. It ended up working perfectly, and I can now vacuum seal my coffee beans without getting out the huge Foodsaver bag sealer and vacuum tube to do so.
