Is this dehydrator completely made of stainless or is there any plastic components on the inside ?

Answer: The tray inside for placing the food to dry is plastics I think.

Answer: The trays it comes with are metal. It also comes with the two plastic fruit leather trays.

Some review pics depict a dehydrator with all plastic shelves, others depict all plastic shelves. Why do some receive all plastic and others metal?

Answer: Mine were all plastic shelves

How long will the banana slices dry?

Answer: Depends on how thick the slices are. We dried our for 10 hours and they we perfect

I set the timer for 5 hours a temp for 125 and the fan comes on and off when temp is reached .Is this the way it runs?

Answer: Yes

Is it loud? Are there fan speed settings? Do all trays dry evenly?

Answer: not loud, fan speed will be the same when it's working. horizontal airflow system makes food dried more evenly and efficiently

I recieved mine today. there is a large air gap on the viewing door on top and bottom. this does not seem right. reaching out before i send it back.

Answer: mine has a small gap between door and device top and bottom but not much , i dont think its supposed to be air tight , when mine is going through the drying process i can feel a small bit of air seeping through the door but,it works just fine , i have dried peppers and herbs from our garden and it has worked just right , depending on the size of gap i think its fine in order to let the air flow through the system , its not scalding hot air but just enough to dry out the product youre working with

Is there a dehydrator that lower range starts at 85 F?

What are the two sheets of plastic, not mentioned in instructions anywhere, and how do we use them?

Answer: They are non-stick sheets, you can use them to make fruit roll ups. just need to put the things you want to dry on the sheets.

Where can I buy more of the drying sheets?

Answer: 2 sheets came with mine no sure where to buy more.

The description says 10 trays but says it comes with 6. What is the facts?

Can the machine be used for longer than the timer? Can I run the machine for 6 - 8 weeks?

Answer: That is a good question! I didn’t try my food for so long time, but whole night is good. I thought if you keep room temperature not too high and the machine temperature set lower, that may be ok for it!

Answer: I have never tried running it longer. You would have to reset the timer when you reach the limit.

Is the temperature in Celsius? I only see 2 digits.

Answer: Mine is C or F, you can change it to what you are comfortable with.

Junk products.Dry blueberries and dried blueberries were worked on 3 times, but there was a problem during the dehydration of a batch of blueberries.We only used a very short time!!Not recommended to anyone.

I made several types of dried fruits using this dehydrator at home and they all turned out very delicious! The trays are large and cleaning is easy due to the all metal design. The dehydrator I received had a defective timer which stopped working after about a month of use but the company was very good about sending a replacement for that unit.

The long narrow shape looks awful on the counter top. The door was crooked and the fan blew all my herbs around and they fell out the door front when opened. Also the box that this arrived in had a hole poked into each end and a return label cutout on it already as if it had been a returned item already. Disapointed, I sent it back!

I am very impressed with this dehydrator. While it is my first, so I don’t have a way to compare to others but I will say I did my research leading up to this. The first dehydrator I ordered was from a different manufacturer, but was lost in transit and then went out of stock. I was hesitant to spend so much on a “brand-less” dehydrator but this one is incredible and well worth the cost. I have already made jerky, dried greens, marshmallows, crackers, etc. and they’ve all turned out perfectly and in or under the suggested time. The capacity is also really great - I was able to fit 5 large zucchini on only 4 trays.

We just started drying our own meat treats for our dogs. We had a dehydrator in the past that was noisy and cheap so we opted to go for a better quality appliance without totally breaking the bank. This unit fits the bill! It is quiet, well constructed with metal shelves and a drip tray on the bottom. When the trays are lined with parchment paper there is no mess to clean up. We put it in the basement, but it is honestly quiet enough that it wouldn’t bother us at all in the kitchen (I just don’t want my dogs to drool all over the floor lol). Although I don’t know how it will perform long term we are very happy with the purchase.

After reading the directions, I plugged the dehydrator in and followed all instructions. Unfortunately none of the displays turned on. I tried everything I could think of and nothing worked. I was shipped a non-functioning unit. After realizing this, I emailed and called the address/number in the manual. My email was bounced back as "undeliverable," and the phone number did not work. I am thankful Amazon allowed us a quick return. I will not buy anything from this store again.

After I got more time to stay at home, I wanna make something easy and fresh for my family. This product is really easy to use. Don't need any skill on cook. Just slice everything, leave it on tray and after few hours, BOOM! Home made jerky, fresh dry fruits, and I even made supper healthy potato chips and dry mushroom! There is multiple layers, so I use each layer for different stuff. I use to have an old one, plastic made, and broke in few months. But this one is made by some kind of metal, pretty well made. I saw some people got the one with plastic trays, but I guess I am the lucky one, I got exactly the one that shows one the picture. Everyone in my house love it. Even my dog love the chicken jerky I made. And the most important is I know everything comes out from this dehydrator is fresh and healthy.

Purchased10 months ago & the heating element quit working. Did not over use it. I did like it that it was very quiet compared to my old unit. I'll see if heating element can be purchased for replacement

RgA : Buy this one. You won’t regret it.

This can handle an enormous amount of fruit and vegetables. This summer I’ve dried over 80 pounds of apples, 40 pounds of tomatoes, and 20 pounds of plums. Plus bunches of herbs. Easy to use and clean.

I’ve had many food dryers and this far outshine any others.

This has everything you need. Most food dryers have one or more of these problems:
1) too hot (never use a stove. Wastes a lot of energy. Worse it’s too hot and loses all taste and nutrients)
2) don’t handle enough fruit/veggies
3) don’t have timers and adjustable temperature
4) not enough air flow to remove moisture
5) too much airflow giving temperature regulation problems (and wasting a lot of energy. Remember this thing will be running for 8 to 14 hours.)
6) poor temperature regulator. Too hot and the food doesn’t taste as good and nutrients are lost. Too cold and the food might still be moist inside. This allows for bacterial growth.
7) flimsy. You will probably be storing your dryer for 6 to 8 months every year. It needs to last a long time.
8) design. Square is much easier to store than some odd shape. Also takes up less counter space.
9) cleanup. Many dryers are hard to clean. This can easily induce bacteria into your food if the dryer doesn’t have an accurate temperature controller.
The only two issues I’ve had with this machine (minor issues) are that the temperature setting is in centigrade and that the plastic keyboard marker is coming off. The manual tells you proper temperature and time settings or you can look it up on the web. I have not yet contacted the seller about the plastic keyboard overlay. Worst case I’ll just use a little silicone based glue.

KM : Poorly made does not last

Purchased in 2019 and it worked great until this last round. It appears there was an issue with the heating element, the unit overheated and melted / warped all 6 trays. There is no way to purchase replacement trays and I also don't know if I trust the unit to run it again. I wish this was better made. It would be a superior product. The size is perfect. Unfortunately, it is so poorly made it does not last.
