Answer: I got it for my grandchildren and they have used it a few times and like it. They did catch crabs with them.

How do you keep the trap open? It collapses. Theres a red ring and a white ball. How do they work?

Answer: Pull it open with the white ball until it clicks. Attach the string that comes with it to the red ring then attach the other end of the string to the trap for retrieval.

Will this net be missing?

Answer: Welp, I'll say this.. if you set this trap and then leave it, and during the time you left, someone else finds it an wants to keep it, there wont be anyone around to stop them right? Word to the wise... Find a place not so wide out in the open and try to make the cord used to retrieve it, not so obvious. Camouflage it good enough to where nobody else will see it but not so good that you wont be able to find again. that my advice to you! Other than that, its a fantastic tool to acquire free bait!! woo hooo!

Answer: The string is cheap. I lost it the first day and had to fish for it so I suggest that if you order put a heavier duty string on it

Answer: No, I don’t think so. The quality was very bad, not recommend to buy.

Answer: Don't know the exact measurements but this I can tell you: they work. Once they are in there's no escape. Every once in a while we find small turtles inside trying to eat the bait but not a big deal.

Answer: It works well in any water.....if it is legal. It is not legal in freshwater in Florida.

Answer: As he grabbed the white fasteners of the trap net and pulled out the rope,Then pull out the rope. The net will open automatically. Keep pulling out the rope until the lock is closed automatically,Put food in a bag in the middle of a shrimp net and put it in water.

Easy to set up and use, but will break down very quickly. Any abrasion from the bottom, larger crabs, or fish will rip the netting. Don't plan to bring them from your trip. Just catch $25 of bait to break even and leave them in the trash.

I've used this trap several times and always had a pretty decent catch. I've learned not to leave it more than three hours at a time due to turtles. The throats are big enough a turtle can get into it and drown. I haven't caught any crawfish in it but plenty of small bait fish. I would recommend and will probably buy again.

This was a Christmas gift for 2 family members that love to fish. It hasn’t been used yet, but they were excited about the design and are ready to try it out.

Works great for bait fish and small crabs, just a small problem with the zipper where it wasn't sewn very good just has to put a couple of stiches in to make it secure

So, if the zipper on the trap had not been sown shut, the trap would be maybe 3.5
stars. After a single, use the umbrella arms had bent and had to be repositioned just to close the trap. The umbrella needs improvement. BUT we did catch small to medium fish, eel, shrimp, and some hungry crabs- just from tossing it into a tidal creek twice from a little dock. So, it is an effective style trap. Definitely would give it 4 stars in FUN points for the kids. If the zipper functioned, it would be 5 stars in fun points.

First time I used these two nets I caught 13 blue crabs and 3 large eels. They are very well made and i have had them in and out of salt water for about 2 weeks now with no problem. Also if you look into them daily you can catch small bait fish, but if you leave them in all night they escape or the crabs eat them. Great product, well mad and easy to use.
