what is material handle?

Answer: Extruded handle

Answer: Made with aluminum. I love mine. Works great.

Can someone tell me what the hoop is made of ? I have had problems with lite aluminum hoop bending and breaking while sweeping through the water

Answer: don't know but alum. is likely

The clip that holds the net in place broke where can I get a replacement part?

Answer: Call Frabill. Frabill sent one free the first time. Had to pay for the next one. I adjusted the tension on the clip and made it less. Has not broke.

Is it any good, seriously?

Answer: It's a really good product. No complaints here.

Answer: So far the net has been good. It easily stores in the rod box and is sturdy enough to handle the bass I net.

Answer: I liked the folding part but the net itself is terrible. The hooks get caught in the net and have to be cut out. I replaced my net with a rubberised version and now i love the whole thing.

At first, loved this net for a small 18ft fishing boat and catching medium sized striped bass on the Chesapeake. Had it 2 years, used about 10 times, and I finally caught a trophy fish of 38 inches and 22#. When I netted and lifted the fish from the water the net broke off at the yoke and lost the net in the water. Frabill should put a weight limit on this item in its description. It should not have broken, I won't buy again unless company credits me towards a replacement.

I purchased this net 3 or 4 months ago and loved it. That is until the mechanism that locks the handle into place broke off in the handle. Now the handle just slides in and out making it hard to land your fish.

I love this net. This is a perfect size for my Lund aluminum boat. Handle is heavy duty and not flimsy and the bag size is perfect for larger trout. The coating on the net works really well. I have not had any problems with the hooks getting caught in it. The net will fold and will fit out of the way in the storage compartments on my boat.This is a quality net and should last a long time. Best of all Amazon had the best price and free shipping.

I have only used this net a handful of times and the clip that holds the net at the full extension position has broken. So now the net slides back and forth on the handle. Will find a way to rig it so it will just stay in the fully extended position but defeats the purpose of having a folding/collapsible net. Highly disappointed about that but otherwise a nice net.

I got this toward the end of our fishing season, so haven't been able to put any big fish in it yet. I did use it ion a couple of 22 " and 23 " speckled trout. I fish from a 16 foot Mako, so I don't have lots of space. I like that this net folds out of the way. I hope it stands up to bigger fish.

There is no damage to the box was send in so they put visibly damaged merchandise in the box without any inspection and just send it away! Very disappointed !!!!!!

What a let down. It worked great on my boat, folds nicely out of the way. However, the net worked for about a year and then there was a split in the aluminum hoop down by the base of the net. Ultimately, the hoop broke and without a receipt they (Frabil) will not warrenty the net. Also, they DO NOT sell replacement parts for this net. How do you not sell replacement parts? So, buyer beware. Either keep good records or in my case, but a different product.
