Answer: I don't know about minutes but I can't complain good product good run time I can clean 5 or 6 nice sized catfish 10 lb plus and still have battery left

Answer: My first time buying this knife. I would say that you would buy the same kind it comes with. It comes with two batteries.

This item is a bit heavy for my old hands, but I love it!!!,,,,,,,,,,it works like a dream!! (My 4 to 5 day shipping turned into 3 weeks, but the postal service ain't what it used to be, either!!!)

I have used a number of corded electric knives for clearing fish and this is the first cordless I have used. So far, I used this knife 2 xs for filleting white bass. Each time I had around 60 fish to clean. The knife is comfortable to use for about the first 20 and the handle starts getting warm. After about 40 fish it is almost unbearable to hold the knife since the handle gets so hot it is almost burning the skin. Not sure if mine is defective, but after the first 2 piles of fish, I'm not looking forward to using it again.

Extremely disappointed in the durability of this electric knife. Bought my first one this summer. Lasted for about two weeks filleting about 30 coho salmon and died. Purchased another one that filleted about 10 chinook salmon and now will not work at all. Extremely disappointed.
