product description
The Mueller Vacuum sealer preserves food by blocking the growth of mold, fungus and bacteria which are responsible not only for ruining the food taste, appearance and texture, but for serious illnesses as well. Why have big lumps of uneven frozen blocks or half-full food containers that take up a lot of freezer space, when you can neatly stack air tight bags on top of each other? When you are on a predetermined meal daily basis, This Vacuum sealer will be a life savior, as you can prepare your meals, seal them and freeze them, saving you time and effort. Ideal for baby food preparation too, especially for working parents with limited free time. This Vacuum sealer is made of durable engineered ABS and through the high power suction element and heat sealing, you can store your food in strong air tight bags. Lightweight and compact, this Vacuum sealing system can be placed on any kitchen, table or counter top. Its stain resistant Housing will not absorb accidental spills, and it is really easy to wipe it clean. Use it to reseal wine, oil and vinegar too. Once the seal is broken, shelf life of most liquids dramatically drops. Seal your kids’ chips bags or snacks that will become stale and soggy if the package is left opened. You can also use your vacuum sealer to keep corrosion away from jewelry, as the Vacuum will preserve them shiny and polished.

Questions about Vacuum Sealer Machine By Mueller | Automatic Vacuum Air Sealing System For Food Preservation & Sous Vide w/Starter Kit | Compact Design | Lab Tested | Dry & Moist Food Modes | Led Indicator Lights
Q:
Does this have the option of heat sealing without having to run the vacuum? For the purpose of making bags from rolls. My current unit only does both.
Answer: Yes absolutely. I made the silly mistake of sealing a loaf of freshly baked bread. Unfortunately I pressed the vacuum button and it quickly turned into Pita Bread. After that I used the seal button with perfect results.
Answer: Yes, you can heat seal the bags without the vacuum.
Answer: Yes it does. I really like this unit it works hreat
Answer: Yes, it does both. It also has a 'wet' and 'gentle' setting.
Q:
Can bags from other vacuum machines work with this product?
Answer: Yes. Any vacuum sealer bags will work.
Answer: Not necessarily. This machine did not work with my FoodSaver bags.
Answer: What brand of bags work best
Answer: Wevac Bags did not work with this unit!
Answer: Other bags will work not all bags will work tho. With 5ml bags it does not create enough suction.
Answer: I am using Weston Sousvide bags and it works perfectly!
Q:
can it be used for sous vide cooking?
Answer: Yes, but be sure to use the vacuum seal type bags/rolls. Other plastics may not seal well, hold up well in the sous vide bath, or may give off noxious or toxic gases while cooking.
Answer: It should be able to. Most vacuum bag sealer machines work for sealing food in plastic prior to cooking with a sous vide machine.
Answer: Yes, it works great for that.
Q:
In what country is this made?
Answer: Amazon states "Manufacturer: Mueller Austria" (which is why I bought this one), but I see the dreaded letters in small print under the box : "Made in P.R.C." = probably really crap. Seems like deceptive advertising to me. A real shame. I'll be sending back "as is".
Answer: It is made in China (as are most "American" appliances, as well), to very exacting Austrian engineering standards.
Answer: Mine says “Made in China” on the box. It works great!
Answer: Chinese garbage, don't be fooled by the label
Answer: Definitely China
Answer: Made in China
Answer: China
Answer: Austria
Q:
does it come with a bag cutter?
Answer: No. For the roll of bags you would use scissors to cut to the size you need.
Q:
One of the reviews states that the directions say you should wait 5 minutes between sealing bags. Is this true?
Answer: The only thing I see in the manual about waiting 5 minutes refers to the bag melting.
Answer: I just received mine today, and was worried about this after seeing your queston. But the manual says, "Intervals of up to 40 seconds are recommended after sealing to prevent overheating of the machine." Thank goodness, because a 5-minute interval would have been a dealbreaker.
Answer: We haven’t waited that long. Granted, we only do one or two bags at a time. It does get hot (so it can seal), but we’ve only waited a minute or two, since it’s cool by then.
Answer: I never have, personally.
Q:
Can I use 8" wide bags?
Answer: Yes. You could use up to 10 inch wide bags.
Q:
Are the bags BPA free?
Answer: Yes
Q:
Does it come with a warranty?
Answer: It comes with a 2 year limited warranty and the customer service is amazing. I had an issue after 7.5 months and they addressed everything perfectly.
Answer: Purchased it for my daughter, not sure. I would think it has a 1 year. You can email seller and ask.
Answer: 1 year. I purchased 3 year plan for $10
Answer: Yes. I think it is one year. Not sure.
Q:
what bags does it use?
Answer: It comes with some bags and a roll which I'm still using. They're 4mil thick. I would think any 4 mil bag or roll but probably not ones 5 mil thick. My machine struggled with sealing wet contents with one round of sealing it took a second seal cycle to seal the bags well. Thicker bags would be harder to seal.
Answer: I bought the "generic" bags sold by Wevac on Amazon that said they were compatible with many brands. They work fine.
Answer: It came with the bags
Answer: I've used all brands, they all work very well in this machine, seal great.
Answer: You can use different brands and they work good
Q:
Where is a link to purchase the canisters that you can use the airhose for?? The instructions say they are sold separately yet i can not find one.
Answer: I do not know I have looked also and can’t find it
Q:
where is it shipped from?
Answer: I’m sure. Made in china
Q:
Will this item be back in stock?
Answer: Yes
Q:
Will this work with 11" bag roll?
Answer: It appears that it will
Q:
Any special bags to be used with this machine?
Answer: No special bags are needed. I just ordered some generic bags.
Answer: I've used two different bags other than what came with the machine and they worked just as well.
Answer: You can use the standard vac seal bags.
Answer: all the generic ones that says vacuum sealer bags should work
Answer: Yes, vac bags
Answer: I use different kinds they seem to work fine for me
Q:
how many consecutive seal bags you can do
Answer: It will do as many as you want, you just have to wait a few seconds in between each one (which is no big deal) so that the machine doesn't overheat. I really like this vacuum sealer. It works great!!! Would highly recommend it to anyone.
Q:
When will this be available to purchase again??
Answer: I would never order again only worked for one seal
Q:
Is there a way to heat seal the top of a mylar bag with this unit?
Answer: Not sure if that would work, mylar may need more heat to seal than regular food storage bags.
Q:
Were do i get replace bags. the replace bags i got was channeled on one side/smooth on the other side. no work as good as the ones that came with unit
Answer: I'm not sure where your replacement bags came from. I use the regular FoodSaver bags (it's a brand and are available in many stores) and they work as good or better than the ones that came in the unit. They are available on Amazon. Just search under "FoodSaver bags".
Answer: I buy “Out of Air” bags. They are also smooth on one side but patterned on the other side. They work great for me.
Answer: There are several listed on Amazon. Look at the ratings and read the reviews. I have used different ones and all have worked well.
Answer: The Wevac brand bags worked well for me. Purchased them on Amazon.
Answer: I ordered them from Amazon
Q:
Wanting to buy more bags or a roll , which brand off of amazon worked best for you?
Answer: Hi I purchased simple houseware 2Pac vacuum bags. 8“ x 50‘ long each roll. They work fantastic and never had one that never sealed correctly. Just make sure your seal light goes off before you open the device.
Answer: I purchased the wevac 8”x 50 foot roll 2 pack. 8 in is the widest bag that will work without double sealing.
Q:
Hi we bought 2 of these by mistake a couple months ago but it shows in amazon orders that the return has been closed. Can I return 1?
Answer: I would say no since the return window has closed, but I would chat with customer service to see if there is anything they can do for you. Won't hurt to try, the worst case is they say no.
Q:
How long is the cord on his machine? Thanks!
Answer: The cord is approximately 40 inches
Answer: About 40".
Answer: Maybe three to four feet
Answer: 42 inches
Q:
I am baking several dozen cookies for use next week. I’d like to seal them with this unit. Will they break when unit pulls out air?
Answer: You can't just select the button you have to hit the vacuum button until it pulls are out around the cookies then you have to hit the stop button then the seal button
Answer: they will if you take all the air out, it will compact them into one cookie ball, but you don't need to remove all the air
Answer: There are two settings I think. Using the vaccum one might break the cookies. I'd try the other one.
Answer: If you do gentle/wet- it’s the softest vacuum. I think they should be ok unless they’re very tender cookies.
Answer: Understand; I just have it suck until it’s tight around the item then stop. By tight I mean snug. Yes, snug is a better description.
Answer: They shouldn’t. I’ve only used it to store smoked cheese since I bought it but so far it’s worked magnificently
Q:
Can it work at 220 Voltage ?
Answer: Yes
Q:
Is this compatible for singapore voltage 230v? thanks
Answer: Don’t buy this product it broke after 40 days of minimal use . Company doesn’t respond to emails or calls . Very disappointed with my purchase .
Q:
What is the power rated in voltage, the suction motor rated in watts and suction strength rated in l/min?
Answer: Power is not rated in volts. Power is amps multiplied by volts. P=IE. Power is also known as watts.
Answer: Don’t buy this product it broke after 40 days of minimal use . Company doesn’t respond to emails or calls . Very disappointed with my purchase .
Q:
Where do I buy the canisters to use with this machine?
Answer: I was never able to find “new” canisters eBay had used ones. Didn’t need them since the vacuum sealer only worked once. I only use it to reseal snack bags
Q:
Suction hose connects to what and where ?
Answer: The suction hose is an added extra that they give you in case you want to use that function. Requires additional purchase for sealing jars. It's not part of sealing bags.
Answer: The suction hose connector is on the inside and the button to start is right from the connector.
Answer: Lift the lid, it’s on right hand side. In tray area .
Answer: Also in book page 5 (D) it shows vaccume nozzle .
Q:
What is gentle mode?
Answer: Gentle Mode - You can manually control the degree of vacuum by pressing "Seal" button at any time, the food will be sealed automatically. If you are sealing vegetables or something you don't want crushed you use that setting.
Answer: It’s for items you don’t want to crush or have the bags leak too much liquid
Q:
If I fill a bag with chicken thighs and marinade, will the marinade get sucked into the vacuum?
Answer: Cut the bag 4" longer than the food. Raise the bag between the juicy food and the sealer - I drape it over the roll of bags or hang it over the counter edge - to discourage liquids from migrating toward the sealer.
Answer: If you use the vacuum seal mode it will. Know from experience
Answer: Yes. Use just sealing mode without vacuum.
Q:
So i used it once, i tried again right after that to do a 2nd package. it didnt work the 2nd time(literally not even 5 minutes later). help!!!???
Answer: Make sure that the bad does not cover/go over the vacuum nozzle. And then make sure that you a pressing the cover down hard enough to hear both latches click into place. It can take extra pressure especially if you are using heavier bags.
Answer: Did not work for me. I returned it
Q:
Can this unit hold up to doing a lot of work at once like my whole steer+ 450lbs?
Answer: Not a chance. The one I bought stopped working some time ago and I have only had it a few months.
Answer: I’ve have had no problem sealing multiple bags (6-8) but don’t know if overheating might be a problem at some point, with your size job.
Answer: In my experience both of mine started failing after 10 uses
Answer: NO!
Answer: No
Q:
What setting is recommend for steak (sous vide)? gentle/moist or airtight/moist?
Answer: Airtight/moist
Q:
How do you disinfect it?
Answer: There are several disinfectants on the market today to simply wash the removable catch tray and wipe down the rubber plastic seals. Not a problem.
Answer: I wipe throughly with lysol wipes, careful not to use too much water and being careful not to wipe wile it is still hot.
Q:
Does anyone know whether FoodSaver accessories can be used with this?
Answer: Yes... but I buy the less expensive bags off of Amazon
Q:
How many bags closes per minute? Should I let it rest every few sealed bags?
Answer: How many bags you do in a minute really depends on what you are doing with them. Sealing is very quick. Vacuum sealing takes longer and the size of he bag is a variable as well. I did a bunch of vacuum sealing the other day with no wait time in between.
Answer: The instructions say wait 40 sec. in between sealing
Q:
Is the sealing (drip) tray removable for cleaning?
Answer: yes, it works like a drip pan, it can be removed and washed by hand
Answer: Where is the drip pan on this machine?
Answer: No, but it is still a really good machine for the price
Answer: No
Answer: No
Q:
What is the inHg of this model?
Answer: nothing in the manual or the specifications on the bottom of the sealer give that information.
Q:
Can this use 11" long vacuum rolls? or will it only fit 7" rolls?
Answer: It will fit 11" vacuum rolls.
Answer: I wouldn’t buy this sealer mine broke after 40days of not very much use . It’s not a cheap item either. I’d buy some other brand . I’m just giving my honest opinion.
Answer: Yes you can. Also this is a great machine
Q:
What option do you use for sealing chicken and meats? Solid or moist?
Answer: I would probably use the solid. I believe the moist would be for things like fish. However, if you wanted to marinade the chicken, I see no reason you couldn't use moist so it don't squeeze it out. I hope this helps.
Answer: I used moist because the chicken juice gets sucked out
Answer: I use the moist setting
Q:
What vacuum seal containers are compatable?
Answer: I just ordered extra bags which should arrive today. I believe the size is standard.
Q:
Does everything have to be 'suction' sealed? Dont know how to ask the right question, can I seal a bag that leaves air in it after the seal
Answer: Yes you can. One way is to use the moist setting. the other way is just seal the bag like you do when using a roll of bag material. I hope this helps
Answer: i don't think so. the idea is to seal completely to avoid air inside the bags.
Answer: Not everything has to be vac sealed. The machine has a sealing function so that you can create bags.
Answer: absolutely. Many times I stop the vacuum before it is finished and press seal only. Also can seal without vacuum at all just by pressing seal.
Answer: Yes and there should not be any air after the seal
Q:
How wide is the sealing strip?
Answer: I just measured it at 11” absolute max but more like 10 1/2” on the safe side
Answer: 11 inches....works great on one-gallon bags.
Answer: 2/3 cm
Answer: About a quarter inch
Q:
how many consecutive bags you can do
Answer: I did 40 bags in a row out of the box. You could probably do more if you wait between bags like the directions instruct.
Answer: One at a time. Only
Q:
Extra air suction hose for mueller food fresh vacuum sealer
Answer: No, but there is moist seal and dry. Mueller system, at least the one I purchased, does not have a vacuum hose.
Answer: It comes with an air suction hose.
Answer: Used to pull a vacuum on other container types, hard containers or bags with vacuum ports! All work good with this machine!!
Answer: We didn't buy the hose.
Q:
This comes with a canister hose, but I don't see the place to connect it to the unit? I see the "canister vacuum" button, but no place to attach to.
Answer: You attach the canister hose inside the unit. You can’t see it unless you lift the lid.
Answer: Yes it comes with the hose the attachment is located inside the machine
Answer: When you open it up there is a small connector inside the area where you place the ends of the bags for sealing. It’s very small and so it’s easy to miss
Answer: There is a little hole in side you attach it too.
Q:
Can I seal a 9lb brisket with this?
Answer: I wouldn't recommend buying this machine at all but if you have been looped into the trap and already have the machine, yes. However the moisture in the brisket will be sucked up towards the opening of the bag when it is being vacuumed out and make it difficult to seal. So try and keep it as dry as you can and make sure there is enough space between the food and the opening of the bag. Air will immediately seep back into the bag but it will take out some air.
Answer: Yes if you leave empty bag room at the top for the sealer to seal
Answer: This may not have bags big enough for this size you may have to portion it out.
Q:
How do I get warranty service, I cannot find anything on where to go? The vacuum no longer works on my device, purchase a few months ago
Answer: Contact the Müller service hotline
Q:
Where does fluid go?
Answer: All I have tried are meats and spaghetti, some pot pie mix and the fluid rises up but kinda evaporates and seals. I do dry the inside and outside top of the bag with a paper towel first. I’m not sure how it works but does. I love it no more freezer burns.
Q:
Can you purchase a new heat bar and how to install it?
Answer: No!!

Matt : Buyers beware!
I really was looking forward to getting this but I’m completely let down. First off it is Made in China, not Austria. I scanned the description again and did not see that fact anywhere. Secondly it has very little suction compared to the Food Saver brand sealer I used to have. Third are the directions that say wait 5 minutes in between sealing bags. Dividing up a bulk pack of chicken pieces could take 30 minutes or more! Lastly it is very lightweight and just feels cheaply made. I’m not impressed at all, will be returning immediately as this is not worth the price even with the $20 coupon that was offered.
Amazon Customer : Vacum Sealing system
This product is a great buy if you are using it for small amounts at a time, it isn't that good for sealing large amounts at a time such as a lot of meat at a time.
ASalvador : Easy to use!
My husband and I have been wanting a vacuum sealer for a while ever since we got a membership to the local restaurant depot. I tried this on a giant 5 pound bacon bag and it worked exactly as I hoped. Now I’ve got 10 nicely sealed bacon portions..... yes, I totally bought this specifically for the extreme amount of bacon we eat, lol. No issues with the directions, worked perfectly.
Zac : Easy to use, but unreliable :(
Not sure if these are just bad or I got a faulty one but it doesn't seal completely, and when I tried to seal the same bag twice in the same spot it just melted right through the bag in the same places while other spots were still completely unsealed (not melted together) the vacuum worked for dry foods like trail mix or breakfast sausages but when I tried some water, just to test the vacuum function it didn't suck out all the air and again, didn't seal the bag. This a classic example of "if it's too good to be true, then it probably isn't". My advice is, just spend a bit more cash for a more reliable vacuum sealer and you won't be stuck with a faulty product.
Bill Walker : Has its quirks but works pretty good
We bought this product because we buy large quantities of and cook lots of food that needs better storage than saran wrap. Overall I like this sealer but it takes some time to understand how it works. Two of the 6 times I sealed a bag the bag did not quite seal all the way so vacuuming it out was impossible. After sealing again it worked. Not sure why it did not work. You need to do it exactly as shown. Instructions are not perfect but after some time it is relatively easy to operate. I like the small size and wish it came with more bags. First time I tried to seal up cheese that we really like and buy in large quantities. Hopefully it will last for a month at least.

Susan Smith : Leave s hole on the seal seam
You have to leave a lot of space near the top or else the bag wrinkles creating a bad seal. But even with it flat each and every bag has a hole on the seal seam, so I am not sure if it is really sealing or not. I guess I can seal an empty bag and do a water test, but I wish that hole were not on the seam every time. Other than that it is very easy to use and the vacuum seal is amazing.
Michael and Vanessa : Ok for money
It does seal well but doesn’t vacuum out all the air
TrishaChristine : Gets the job done
We bought this to replace a much older food saver that was starting to give up on us. Its much more compact and so easy to use! Its getting the job done, I have no complaints.
Frank T : Design flaw
So I was excited to seal up and freeze a bunch of fish I just caught. Half the time it work ok to good'ish. Had to redo a few bags as it didn't suck all the air out. Some bags it wouldn't suck any air. I would try multiple times to no avail. So I finally removed the rubber grommet under the heating element that seals the bags and it worked like a charm. So bottom line is the rubber is a little to tall and pinches the bag to much and prevents it from sucking out the air...or the air pump needs to be stronger. Either way I'm sending it back and will try another brand.
RMB : not good with moist foods
If all you are sealing is dry foods for short time then this machine will work for you.
If you plan on sealing up meats for food that has moisture in it, spend the extra money and buy a real machine.
We have had this machine for 4 months now and have used it on several different foods.
It lacks any decent suction power to vacuum seal meats, so don't plan on freezing these meats for any length of time.
Scott : Good vacuum sealer, with some tips
Overall a good vacuum sealer. Bought it to replace a very old one (different brand) and nice to see more features in this one. Like the option of "dry/moist" and the locking features so you don't have to stand there holding down the lid to operate the vacuum. Good price for the features.
Some (minor) downsides: First the sealer is fairly narrow, so you may have trouble with wide sealer bags. Might want to stick to the more narrow bags (less than 11") . Second, the sealing strip heats up, so after a few bags, you need to stop and let it cool down. Otherwise it seals the bag before you get a chance to vacuum out the air (so it's not vacuum sealed, but just sealed).
Maried : Great product at a Great price.
I love that I can seal a wine bottle and keep the contents fresh. This machine is easy to use and the price cannot be beaten. It does a great job keeping the food in the freezer longer than regular freezer bags and food tastes just as fresh as the day you freeze it, I love am looking forward to no more freezer burn. The compact size is helpful so I can keep it on my counter for easy access.

Eli : Great customer service
Replacement unit working great for the last couple of months. My original unit lasted only a few months, but Mueller sent me a replacement unit as soon as they knew I was having trouble. Do reach out to them if you encounter issues. They'll look out for you.
World Music Lover : Best Vacuum Sealer by Far
I was hesitant to purchase a non-major brand but glad I did. This product is well designed with a strong little motor with good suction. I also like having the extra accessory that allows me to suction out everyday storage bags that don't need sealing. The machine is compact and so attractive that I leave it on my counter. This is my fourth vacuum sealer, and so far, it is the best by far.
Joy Martin : The Vacuum Sealer Machine Stopped Working
We purchased the Vacuum Sealer Machine in March 2019; it is now May 2019, and we've used this machine approximately four times and the machine no longer vacuums the air out of the bags. It was great when it worked, but it no longer works. Its life is short-lived; I would not recommend this product at all.
I am changing my rating to 4 stars; the company, which is a U.S. small family business, stood behind their product and replaced my daughter's vacuum sealer, which was a gift for her--impressive customer service.
PrimeForLife : Bad unit?
Bought one in early 2019. From the beginning, the unit had a hot spot on the heating element where the sealed bag would be extra melted. Over time I noticed the unit was failing to properly seal the bags. This issue seems to have gotten worse, and now I need to repeat the sealing procedure multiple times before I get a complete seal. The front-right of the unit gets hot after several seal operations, and I smell a faint odor of hot plastic. The suction seems adequate. I'm going to buy a new one and update the review based on what I encounter. Right now, I can't recommend this unit.
kbmak : Does what it's supposed to
I’ve been asking my spouse for a while to get me a good vacuum sealer, as I buy meats in bulk and I also do a lot of fishing and foraging, so it’s important for me that food lasts for many months in the freezer. I’ve received Mueller unit for Christmas, and so far, it definitely meets and exceeds my expectations. Quick, quiet, and efficient. I mean, don’t expect any miracles, it still can’t vacuum seal wet produce, but that’s understandable, I usually place a dry paper towel rolled up, along the sealing edge and it absorbs any moisture coming out of the food. I’ve been using a Geryon unit for quite a few years and believe me – this is a major step up! I’m very pleased and hoping it will serve me well for years to come.”
Elle B. : Works well, but the lid is difficult to shut securely
I did a lot of shopping around before settling on this vacuum sealer. I waited until it was on sale and bought this for around $50. I think it’s worth about that much. I don’t know that it’s worth the current asking price of around $70.
This sealer is easy to use. Someone who has never used a vacuum sealer before will be able to take this out of the box and start using it in about 5-10 minutes. The buttons are fairly self-explanatory, although the instruction book provides more in-depth descriptions of what each one is for. One thing to note, however, is that the buttons are not standard buttons, it’s more like a touchscreen. You just tap them, don’t push them.
The bags and the roll that come with the sealer are easy to use and seal well. Both of them are on the thinner side and I use thicker bags for my typical needs. This sealer does work well with other brands of sealing bags. I initially had some concerns, but it works well with both 8 inch and 11 inch bags of various thicknesses. I used 11 inch wide 10C thick bags with this sealer and it did a great job with both vacuuming and sealing. The 11 inch wide bags are a little more difficult to line up in the sealing channel. The channel only allows for a maximum of 11 inches so you have to be sure to line it up correctly and be sure it doesn’t move as you are shutting the lid. I've attached photos comparing an 8 inch roll and an 11 inch roll.
Unfortunately, shutting the lid is hard and takes two hands. There is no way around it. Someone with limited arm strength or disabilities that affect muscle or coordination will most likely not be able to use this sealer. I have no way of knowing, but I suspect that many of the complaints about failed “vac and seal” with this machine, are due to people being unable to securely shut the lid.
Overall, I think that this sealer is a good choice for a lot of households who have limited space, limited funds, and will only use a vacuum sealer occasionally.
L.E. Brentwood : Inconsistent performance first use,out the box...
I really wanted this food saver and was super excited to use it, unfortunately the "seal" only mode sealed inconsistently and when I used the "Vac/Seal" mode, the air was vacuumed but it wouldn't seal.
After waiting several minutes between seals and trying a few different mode combinations, I finally realized the unit simply didn't work. Going to purchase the FoodSaver, since it was my original choice and my friends and family recommend the brand.
Khiri : Works well - if it works right
Bought this based on reviews. It works well, if it works right, which it usually doesn’t.
I want mostly vacuum sealed items. But either it vacuums but doesn’t seal, seal but not vacuum or does nothing at all. The instructions say to make sure there are no wrinkles in the area it seals. Really? You have to basically iron the bag to get it to work? I flatten, reposition, again and again and again.
Sorry I bought it. ☹️
Dhani Dare : I had high hopes for this product but was sadly disappointed
unfortunately, this vacuum sealer doesn't suck out enough air to properly vacuum seal. The air extraction time is lightning quick, leaving so much behind the bag doesn't wrap snuggly around the food as it should. We are using the bags the unit came, so no problem there. I wish I could return this, but it's been used a few times and it's past the 30 day period. I will be shopping for something different. I do not recommend.

Andrew Leighton : Simple, effective & no nonsense.
I fought with my FoodSaver vacuum sealer which had so many bells and whistles which worked with glitches. I am so happy with the Mueller vacuum sealer because it is simple. There is no flap inside to be pressed aside by the inserted bag. The bag is simply manually clamped. Make sure that you hear two clicks to ensure that the lid is closed. No problems with liquid collecting in the internal tray and setting off a "full alarm" as there is no sensor to detect liquid. Sealing meat did not cause any excess liquid build up in the internal tray and I was perfectly able to see how much liquid is in the tray before each new sealing. Only complaint was that the touch screen on the lid is easily contacted while closing the lid. Sometimes the suck or seal buttons were activated accidentally. Easy to cancel with another button. Definite recommend for anyone looking for a rock-solid vacuum sealer which doesn't break.
Joe G in Tennessee : Great bang for the buck!
Works quite well; very good, consistent suction and seal. Perfect for my needs. I've been using the Wevac vacuum sealer bags and they've worked very well with this vacuum sealer. I don't believe there's any sealer that will remove every single bit of air from the bag, but this comes pretty darn close. I highly recommend that you freeze whatever you wish to seal before you do so. This eliminates the possibility of sucking liquid into the sealer. In addition, fold the inside edges of the bag out so you don't get any moisture on the inside of the bag when you and your meat/chicken, etc., (or it won't seal properly). I'm slowly but surely filling my chest freezer with all vacuum sealed meats. I don't see any frost/freezer burn.
As a plus, I've made sous-vide steaks in an Instant Pot and the seal has been perfect every time! I seared the steaks on a super hot cast-iron skillet (on the side burner of my outdoor grill) and I will NEVER cook a steak any other way. They came out steak house quality and it's always consistent; never overdone.
Yes, I would recommend this product.
G. Burke : Stopped working-UPDATE
Started off working OK, considering the price. Might have to try a couple of times to actually vacuum out all the air, even with small bags. Gradually got worse. Just about the time that it got so bad that it didn't work 9 out of 10 times, the window for returning it had closed.
UPDATE: Even though Amazon said it was too late to return, the seller read my review and contacted me, offering to replace the defective unit. This is unusually good customer service. I'll update my review once I have had time to receive and use the new unit.
Christopher : Great Vacuum Sealer!!!
Bought this to start sealing my Salmon fillets. I've never used one before but I'm so happy with this purchase!!!! It was really easy to use out of the box and love that it came with starter bags. It truly is the best starter kit!! Works perfectly fine and I've been storing all my Salmon fillets with no issues!!
Alexis Nikitopoulos : Great kitchen tool!
I buy meats in large quantities, break it down into serving sizes and freeze. After using regular zip lock freezer bags for several months, I’ve had to throw away a lot of product due to freezer burn. I could never get enough air out of the bags. Now I see that with this machine. My meats are stored safely and efficiently. I’ve read that it could be good for months and I’m hoping that is so. This machine is also very simple to use and it’s got a small footprint, so doesn’t take much room in my drawer. So far, I love this product.
Stephanie : Works for me
I bought this while under quarantine, because what else was I to do with myself while being stuck inside? I decided to cook a bunch and needed a way to keep it fresh. This is the only vacuum food sealer that I have owned, so I am unable to compare it to anything else. The use of this is pretty simple, put food inside bag, place it over the suction area close lid and push a button. Now I will say that I did have a few times it did not want to vacuum, but I think that was user error and not the actual machine.
Edit: I went to use it and it will not vacuum. I tried different size and different brand of bags, but nothing worked. It does seal just fine, but defeats the purpose if it won't vacuum. If it wasn't too late to return I would since I only used it a handful of times.
John : Very nice appliance at a good price with the $20 off coupon
The unit worked well right away. There are plenty of bags and a roll to make custom sized bags. Seals well and takes just a few seconds. The dry and wet options are very helpful too :-)
Thank you for a really nice product.
There is an offer in the box for a free julienner peeler and a $10 Amazon coupon if you text the company, but the redemption system doesen't seem to be working. Hopefully soon :-)
MinneapolisMark : A few shortcomings
For the value, size, and what's included this is worth the purchase. Luckily I am needing this in a huge, industrial kitchen because of the fact of it doesn't snap into place like it should when sealing. I have found I've needed to manually press hard down on the machine to get the right suction. It's not that big of a deal but it'd be nice if it snapped into place/locked like it's supposed to. All in all, works for me.
Eli : Great customer service
Replacement unit working great for the last couple of months. My original unit lasted only a few months, but Mueller sent me a replacement unit as soon as they knew I was having trouble. Do reach out to them if you encounter issues. They'll look out for you.
CynthiaA : Good appliance for the money
I bought this to replace my expensive food saver that is going out so it sounds like a jet plane. I didn’t want to spend over $100 on an appliance I don’t use daily. I have a Mueller pressure cooker and am so far pleased with the brand. This is so much smaller and quieter than my old vacuum sealer. It worked wonderfully right out of the box. It’s easy to figure out how to use and seals great. I used bags from a roll I already had of a different brand and it worked well. Great value for the money. Can’t wait to buy meat in bulk again to really try it out.
Kathleen Driskell : Fast and efficient
I bought this to replace another sealer that requires you to press down hard for about 10 seconds before it goes “hands free” so I wanted one that didn’t require that. I read reviews for many many brands and decided to try this one. I love that it’s hands free once you click it shut and it works quickly and efficiently. I haven’t used the canister hose and probably won’t. The only possible “con” is that while it did suction ok, it didn’t seem to remove as much air as my previous one did. I double checked that I had it on the correct settings, which I did, but again, it just doesn’t seem to remove quite the same amount of air. Not a deal breaker for me though.
Bruce Bottger : Disappointed. Worked fine for the 1st 20 packages, then stopped vacuuming air consistently.
Basically a simple machine to use, and was very happy initially. Then I started to have problems pulling air from bags and had to reposition multiple times. Then performance got worse and worse until I couldn't get it to vacuum all air out at all. Sealer worked fine. Cleaned and reseated gaskets. Tried different bags and none would seal consistently. So I decided to return it and see what other options are out there. Disappointed since it felt great in the beginning. Don't need all the bells and whistles, just need to vacuum and seal bags.
Surprised that there are so many great reviews and the high number of stars. Although now I realize almost 1/3 of reviewers are not so happy.
*UPDATE* Refusing to be beaten, I unpacked the box again and tried while it was cooled down. Even put the bags in the freezer to see if it might help. Tried some different tricks I read on the net. Was glad when I achieved TWO seals in a row. But then it was back to 1 out of 10 tries. Got fed up again and re-packaged the box to return to Amazon. Thanks much for Amazon Prime and free returns!!
shaun : Good/bad and thoughts
This is the first vac sealer I bought, and I tend to seal a lot of things in one session so keep that in mind.
Good:
-Super easy to use after you do it once u pretty much get the hang of it
-Sealed pretty much all the air out
-Has an area to catch any liquid that inevitably escapes
Bad:
-When sealing anything with liquids need to seal multiple times
-Need to wait some time (40sec recommended) to seal in between to prevent overheating
-When using a plastic roll you have to cut with scissors and seal the bottom(Takes so much time, just buy bags instead of rolls)
-Liquid always escapes the bag when sealing(Being a little harsh for this one liquid is tough to seal)
Thoughts:
When I seal things I do it in a session and seal a lot, so for things like that I do not recommend this one. I think its good if you seal less than 5 things at one time. It is super easy to use, but I do always seem to have trouble when sealing marinates that are a little too watery. It feels very average, not great, but not bad.
Mark A. : What more could you want in a vacuum sealer
Received this appliance just yesterday. Had the opportunity to use it today to package some tenderloin steak, pork chops and some chicken breast that we had purchased. Normally I would have placed these items in ziplock bags, but I will do that no more. Love this appliance and I can highly recommend others to buy this food sealer.

A.M. : DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Using this machine is so annoying for various reasons, the most obvious and annoying is that it does not suck out all of the air, sometimes none at all. Using a 6x10 pre cut bag, I only put 4 pieces of party chicken wings into the bag and hoped for the best as I placed it in the vacuum sealer. I selected moist, placed the bag in between the rubber seal and hit vac seal... no air is coming out of the bag. I hit cancel before it sealed up with all the air still in the bag... I I remove the bag and dry the opening thinking this is why it isn’t sealing, I repeat the process... still no air is coming out of the bag. Frustrated I move onto the next bag BUT this time the air comes out but no fully, maybe 40%... I could still move the chicken around yet the bag was sealed... This happens EVERY TIME I use this vacuum seal. It’s very frustrating and annoying and very finicky. Don’t buy.

Mlewis : Why have I not been using this device for many years? I wish I had been!
I'm chastising myself for not taking a" before" picture of my freezer, as in before the use of the vacuum sealer. It is fabulously easy to use and adds so much freezer space that was not available before due to product packaging. I chose to buy this particular brand because of positive reviews and I am so glad I did. What convinced me to buy unit was the $30 worth of sirloin steak and pork tenderloin I defrosted to make chili. It was so freezer burnt that it had to go and that made me feel sick. No longer will this happen with me. Thank you!!
Vincent L : Great machine, great price!
I originally planned on getting a more expensive brand but after looking at the description, reviews, etc I decided on giving this a try, and boy am I glad I did! This is a great little machine and very easy to use. You do have to exert a bit of downward pressure to get the upper lid to snap shut but that’s the only Issue I have. So save your hard earned money, and buy this machine. Also when I bought this, Amazon recommended bundling it with some bag rolls and quart sized bags and I’m glad I did because not only did I go thru the samples that came with the machine but I went through half of the bundle add-ons and besides, it saved me some more money to boot by bundling them at the time of purchase! Get one now before they realize they should charge more!
