Answer: I have had great success with these lures for bass is many ponds, Shrimp lures remain the mainstay in the sea trout angler's arsenal. In fact, it might be the best plastic bait for speckled trout. Designed to slowly sink through the water, shrimp lures should be twitched lightly. Answer: I use spoons 2 1/2” long and have some weight to them so you can cast them at a good distance. Superstitiouslures has good spoons. I would use 6lb test for line.

I threw one of these in the water, got caught on a branch, and the hook was bent outwards. Sounds reasonable but I’ve done this with other baits that have better hooks and don’t result with the same outcome.

It was very difficult to get it to look rellalistic, you have to real it in very fast, I tried different knots nothing worked.

When these first arrived, I noticed how easily the move around just by holding and moving them myself. However, when doing the video, what you don't see is me getting poked and stabbed by the hooks. The hooks do hurt a bit but they're very strong and very sharp. I was able to knot these with no issues with my fishing line and take these out the next day. Since the area I was at had clear water, I was actually able to see these move in the water and see how they reflected from the sun and move in the water. When the sun hit them just right, you could clearly see the reflective paint on these lures. This happened to help catch several fish, that were too small for my liking, but the fact that it caught their attention, I was happy. As for swimming, they do move around very life like in the water. After moving around to different spots, I was able to catch some pretty big fish with these lures. I test these and a few others that I purchased at the same time. When comparing, these lures were the only ones that caught fish. I used the same bait and the only thing different were the lures. I ended up sending the others back and kept these. What's nice is they do come in a case that they fit inside perfect so I just kept that and put them in my tackle backpack. They store them safely and securely.

Notice that it doesn’t alway mimics fish. Sometimes it doesn’t create that swimming illusion and treble hook gets tangled up with the line a lot.

I've been fishing for pike for 25 years now and tried all sorts of lures with some of the best being made by Rapala, Finland. I am constantly on a lookout for something new for my tackle box and decided to buy this trio by TRUSCEND, a Chinese company from Guangzhou. Below is my initial take on the lures:

Pros:
- Realistic appearance
- Good price (about $6.50 per lure)
- Split-joint construction (this definitely improves the crank-bait swim motion)
- Built-in rattle (gives out sound vibrations to help out on slow days)

Cons:
- Color! Picture on amazon clearly showed greenish back while I got something of a mix between violet and brown and that's not what I wanted; other two lures matched the image much better but you can still tell some deviations.
- Workmanship: overall not as good as Rapala
- No 3rd middle hook; when you have a lure of 5 plus inches you want to have a hook in the middle as pike/bass can strike on the side but there is nothing there to hook em! 80% of the time pike will strike either from behind or will bite into the side of the bait. This leaves the hook close to the head missing out on the action!
- Hooks are too thick and front eye bolt hook connector is much bigger than the one by the tail for no reason. I prefer hooks to be slightly taller with thinner center stem (the more invisible the hook the better chance fish will strike). For some reason hooks were not very sharp
- Picture clearly shows TRUSCEND written all over the crank bait up top. Lures I got have nothing on them whatsoever. TRUSCEND warns that there are many counterfeits and not to buy from 3rd party sellers. Well, Amazon happens to allow 3rd party sellers! This one says it is sold by TRUSCEND. I have to contact them and ask about the missing label.

Once I take these babies fishing I will update if I had any actual success with them.

Ordered these with a gift card my father gave me. I wasn’t sure how well they were going to work on the salt river in Arizona. I got about 4 cast out before I hooked up on a big bass. These things are awesome!!! My buddy used one of them and kept catching tilapia and blue gills, crappie, and even a giant carp. It was every cast almost with these. On top of that they’re fun as hell to fish with. We both use bit casters and you am an get some really good distance with these. Highly recommend

These have got to be the most beautiful lures I have ever seen. I had to cut the hooks off one so my granddaughter could play with it in the tub. I have no problem buying something once to try it. Went to the pond by the house and gave these a try. There are not many fish in the pond, as it is newer and hasn't been stocked in a few years. Within a few minutes, pulled in two bass and a small crappie. The design of the lure really does look like small bait swimming! The action doesn't start until you are reeling in at a proper speed. Pulled through some algae , only a small amount got stuck in the hook as expected; nothing was stuck in the ribbed section of the lure. Can't wait to take these to a bigger lake. I'll definitely buy these again.

As much as I would love to get my $20 back, I believe it is a dishonest practice.

Imagine a beautiful painted rock that looked like a minnow. If that sounds like it will catch fish in your local waters, then by all means buy this. I tried every presentation possible and there is no way to make these undulate as described. They look stunning, but they don't swim. They tend to just drag lifelessly on their side. Fast retrieve, slow retrieve, trolled, dropped... doesn't matter. They are a fraud. Another example about why Amazon reviews simply cannot be trusted. Too much pay to play going on.

Update: If worked in and retrieved at a high speed the action can be achieved though inconsistently. I have upgraded my review to 2 stars.

roger clark : Smaller than I expected...

The lures are probably smaller than you think they are going to be. I think the size is identified in the description, but when I received them they are about 1/4 the size of a "typical" swim bait lure you would buy at a big box store.
The quality looks to be good and the fact that they came in a storage container is a plus.
Also, don't know if it was intentional or accidental but I received a "bounce" lure in the bunch. Also very small, but 1 more than I expected.
Still need to get out and fish with them, so I am curious how they will hold up.

Rear hook often gets caught around the tail when casting, lure does not always turn when going through the water, and I emailed the company and never heard back, would not recommend this product.

Why do they always ask for a review of these products a day or two after they arrive? I haven’t had a chance to do anything but look at these, and they look great. Will they catch fish? Only time will tell.

These Are Very Small Lures For Smaller Fish. They Surprised Me With Their Size & I Couldn't Be Happier. I Plan On Using These For Creek Fishing For Smallmouth & Smaller Largemouth Bass. Just Under 2 Inches & They Are Very Nice. Actually Came With 4 But The Picture Shows Only 3.

I'm not a big lure person but I saw an ad and the way it swam so life like I had to try. Well first cast out I got a hit! I got several more but didn't catch any, guess I need to learn about using a lure. I was very impressed with seeing for myself the way it swam so life like and to get so many strikes on it first time out and fishing for bass and walleye. These are larger than they appear. The measurements in the description show length but they are quite wide, like 2-3 inches wide. I haven't taken out my tape measure, so that's an estimate, but it would have to be a decent sized Pike or Bass to wanna take a bite out of one. I'm not sure my 20lb test line could take it!

I haven't tried them, thats why I gave them a 3 because I honestly dont know how good they are yet and it could go either way. They were bought as Christmas gift and they are a little smaller than I expected but that's no buggy. I'm just not sure if the hooks are gonna be big enough to catch a large mouth bass with and that's the reason I bought them.
