Answer: Our grandson only has one finger on his left hand and he is 4, we modified the belt with Velcro so it would fit his waist. So if it's for the waist size yes it can be.

I had a problem and looking for a solution other than hiring a tree trimmer. I have one of those trimmers on a long pole with a saw and clipper at the top. You activate / use it by pulling on a rope that creates the sawing effect. Well, it works great... I don't. I found out very quickly I need 3 hands as I couldn't hold the stick straight and operate the rope at the same time. Eureka moment. I was watching a TV show about fishing and this guy had a "thing" around his waist that he put the end of the fishing rod into so that he had were free to reel in the fish. OMG I thought - I can use that for my tree trimmer. Works great!! The end of the pole is stabilized and my hands/arms are free to pull the rope. I will admit it took a little while to get the hang of it ... but then again, I'm 72, female and upper body strength is not the best. I kept at it and it did the job. I think the trees look great ... at least my neighbors haven't said anything. I highly recommend whether you use it for fishing or for cutting trees!!

Caught a marlin in January without one and it was an ordeal. Caught another in May and it was very doable. After an hour fighting a good sized striped marlin, landed it without help. There were a couple sore spots, but nothing like digging that pole into your abdomen. Bruises from the first one lasted for weeks. If you're fighting a ton of fish over many days, you might want to get something better, but for one or two day fishing trips at a time, it's awesome and you can't beat the price.

Thought it was a good product, but when I used it, I noticed that the cup size is too small. It doesn’t fit Any of my ocean rods. It would probably fit lake rods, but who needs one of these things for lake fishing? Not really happy about that.

A cheap way to save your gut while fighting dolphin and other fish. Well worth the money. I didn't have any trouble with any of my rods fitting in the hole but it isn't the largest so if your rods base is bigger than 1.5" I would say this is not for you.
