Answer: Depends on what you mean by babies...if you mean baby fish, then maybe. If you mean human babies...I'd say the answer is still maybe. If you have a weigh bag you can weigh just about anything with this. It goes all the way up to 110 lbs.

Answer: Never tried it on drag scale but I would not recommend it cause it's not as accurate when it comes to light weight line breaking strength. You'd have to invest in something more expensive and specifically for that purpose. This one is mainly for measuring luggage before airport trip.

Answer: Indeed. This is a really good scale. Not perfect to the milligram but fine for fish and the price point. Strong and tight casing. Solid steel hook and handle. Can't attest to its durability in saltwater environments.

Answer: I think I'd look elsewhere. I don't know of any that work hanging though. I have a small scale that's accurate down to +- 1/2 gram, but it doesn't work by hanging items to be weighed.

Answer: I successfully used this scale in a static force test of pneumatic piston and the hook did not fit. So I tied a cord around each of the ends in order to attach the scale. If a better answer is needed then more detail is needed in the question.

Answer: you can change the read out as in conversion but will only show one read out at a time.. as in grams pounds, kilos ect.

Save money on a trigger gauge -- get this fish scale. It is designed for weighing fish, but also works great to test trigger pulls on rifles. If you search for trigger gauges, be prepared for prices starting at $30 and going up from there. Ridiculous. Being desperate, I tried this for $8. It works great. No regrets. Plus, I can weigh fish if the need ever arises! BTW, my Savage Model 12, after adjusting to the lighten the pull, comes in at 22 ounces. Very repeatable.

I bought this scale to use for weighing fish and I couldn't ask for anything better. Its small enough to hold in my hand, yet it will hold and weigh up to 110lbs as stated. The handle on it is collapsible which makes it even more compact to store in a small pocket of my tackle bag. The LCD back light is perfect for night time as its not too bright to see at night but also bright enough to be able to read the scale if you're reading it during the day. It can switch between common units of measurement such as grams, lbs, ounces, and kg all with just the push of a button. It can give you the surrounding temperature and its accurate to about 1-2 degrees Celsius. Overall, its an excellent, simple scale that anyone can use and at a great price too.

In spite of the several negative reviews, I have been completely satisfied with this scale. I use it for weighing backpacks and it's perfect for the job. I have no idea how tough it is or how long it will last. But at $8 and perfectly functional I have nothing to complain about.

I wanted an inexpensive scale to weigh my bike and bike components. This small scale exceeded my expectations. Very easy to operate and I love the locking feature that freezes the weight reading as soon as the weight is stabilized. This allows me to lift my bike with the scale and when I hear the beep I can put the bike down and then read the weight and in pounds, oz or kilograms. The latter reads out to three decimal places. The scale also has a tare setting so that one can make a harness and have the scale zero out the harness weight so that only what is in the harness is being weighed. This was exactly what I wanted and at better price than I had hoped for.

Did not work out of the box. Overloaded on anything above 0.5lbs. Not able to return or replace. Amazon ended up helping me out with a refund.

Edit: I was able to fix the product by opening it up and flipping the center beam that the wire/sensor is glued to - if you remove the nuts on both ends and take the horizontal piece apart, flip it so that the wire/sensor face down (like in my picture) instead of facing up, the overload error is fixed.

it works well easy to use, set up and tarry. its a little off but nothing major, used a 4lb certified dive weight but showed 4-4.2 sometimes. So it's a little off and when I tried to weigh luggage at 42lb the scale died on me so I had to use the regular scale that you have to step on. Bought this one in august but can't use on anything over 30lbs or it will go blank!!

I've not had this very long, so I'm not reviewing durability. I want to address the accuracy complaints folks have. Saying this is 5lb over or under... Just look at my picture. That weight displayed (22.52) is almost exactly the weight being weighed (22.5). I was shocked at how accurate it was.

Note that I just made 2 loops out of paracord to attach the scale to items (bicycles mostly). One loop attaches the scale to my stand and the other wraps around the item to be weighed.

I ordered this scale for weighing large amounts of sand and have been very pleased with it. Its lit display makes reading it easy. It has the usual tare function and also has many unit conversions. An unexpected feature I noticed is the scale 'locks' the reading of the weight of an object when the object is stabilized, so I can pick up very heavy objects and read the reading later rather than trying to pick up an object and read the display at the same time. The case and hook seem very durable; I have had this scale for a while and haven't had any issues.

Open & Honest : Accurate & Easy to Use Digital Scale

I sell a few thousand items each year. Sometimes they are bulky and don'the fit well on my shipping scale. I bought this to allow me to quickly weigh those items without having to move my scale and try to get a reading on those large items.

I tested this against my trusty shipping scale which has proven it's accuracy to me over the past few years. I tested with on some lighter items as well as much heavier and this proved to be within 1-2% of my scale. There'should not much more to say about it other than it has a hook to hang items from to weigh them, and simple and we'll marked buttons to turn on / off.

I highly recommend.

Although I have not tried to check the accuracy, it is giving me values I know are plausible. I'm actually using it primary to figure out the draw weight of my compound bow. The weight updates instantaneously as more weight is added to the hook. The hook on it swivels too, so I never have to hold it at an awkward angle while drawing my bow back to keep the display legible.

Overall, its effective and cheap for my purposes. That's what I like to see.

I love this little scale. For the price it works great and I really like that once it reaches weight it automatically goes into the Hold mode. Fits perfectly in my back pocket. The only downside of the scale is the handle which has kind of sharp edges. I do wish it were a little wider although that would make it less compact than it is. I have wrapped it with electrical tape to make it a little more easy to hold.

So far, this is a great little device. I am actually surprised at how well it works. I thought this would be much lower quality than it is. Rarely does this happen.

Now, don't get me wrong. This is not a NASA certified scale for weighing objects going out into space. However, for casual weighing of items where tremendous accuracy is not needed, this is perfect.

Excellent scale! Works as advertised. With large backlight LCD display, its easy to read and measures accurate weight. It is very accurate device comparing it with my other precision scale. I tested it with my postal scale, it was within 0.1 pound accuracy. It's not perfect but it is within the advertised accuracy and meets my expectation.

I bought this as a bow scale. What a great device for the price. Seems accurate well beyond what I need. Hold the Tare button for 2 seconds and it will retain the highest value. Great feature not mentioned on scales double the price. I imagine I'll have many other uses for it in the future.

This thing is almost as small as a cell phone, which I like; it is easy to carry. The handle can retract also, to sit flush with the top. I bought this to use to check the draw weight on my recurve bow, and it worked well and easily. I hung that handle on a sturdy tree branch slightly above my head, hooked my bowstring on the scale hook, and pushed down on my bow until I had reached my draw length. Easy-peasy!
