What the diameter of the mesh holes? My daughter might use it to catch tadpoles. Appreciate your response.

Answer: I think the holes are about a 1/4" (5or 6mm) at its widest diameter. I imagine that the tadpoles would be a little larger depending where you are hunting for the little amphibians. That I would say a good dual purpose net.

Answer: The holes are .25 inch in diameter.

The first one came with a flaw and it would not fold and the company went good and sent a replacement. It was a gift to my grandson and next summer if it should happen to break landing 5# Brooktrout who cares as long as he does not loose the fish!!

I love the way it folds up so it takes up very little space. Being handi capped, it is important to me to conserve space and this net when folded up fits very nicely in the front basket on my handi cap scooter and yet when unfolded it is a full sized net and is very sturdy to handle a very large fish. The net that I replaced with this was bulky and hard to transport.

I mean I like catching bluegill and greensunfish. It's a good net to do so. Really good for getting them handled. However on my 4th big hybrid catch. It snapped the net but the fish was stuck. Felt bad cuz it punctured the hybrid and I took it home and I'm nursing it back to health. It breaking just really ticked me off cuz I like catching hybrids cuz they're beautiful fish. But seeing its blood cuz of a net I bought mad me big very sad. But she's doing way better now. I'm actually keeping her as my own now. She was a baby now she's a juvenile. So that's a cool. But if it was more durable I'd give it 5 stars. Only giving it four cuz I got a chance to train and nurse a hybrid back to recovery.

This net was the best of everything you like about a net. It got the fish in the boat and on the shore and was easy to stow and carry. The construction was well done and the net is holding up nice with some of the abuse it’s gone through. I really liked it and can see getting another one for my brother.This net helped land a nice double with a peacock bass and largemouth!

I got this net because I was losing fish trying to haul them up and over the fence by the channel where i fish. It folds down small enough so that it fits easily in my backpack but it's still strong enough to bring in good sized catfish. I pulled up a 12 pounder with it but the net itself is actually too small for a fish that long.

This net is a must for anyone fishing off docks or piers. It is compact and yet easily opens and extends so you can reach the fish you would otherwise not been able to land. And it looks to be high quality. I will use this net for years to come. It is the best I’ve ever seen.

Net has a reasonable design and is fairly easy to collapse/extend. However, after a season of use, the screws used to connect the folding mechanism to the handle were rusted. While there might be a viable economic reason to use plain steel screws, using stainless steel screws makes more sense for an object that is intended to be immersed in water on a regular basis. Three #8 x 3/4” stainless screws solved the problem so the solution is simple, the fact that a solution was required seems unreasonable.

Didn't like the pivot screws popped loose upon receiving and had to repair a new item with one larger size screw to fit. The screw holes are plastic and it was already cracked when the screw came out. That's product quality right there
