Good for Saltwater?

Answer: No. This net has a fairly shallow net depth. It would not be good for larger fish. However, the materials used to make the net would stand up to repeated salt water.

Answer: I have this one and saltwater should not harm it but the short handle on this one might not be long enough. The fishpond guide net might be a better choice due to the longer handle and possibly a larger basket

Answer: The Nomad Native can definitely be used for smaller salt water fish, but if you're going after anything larger than 16-18" you may want a Nomad Boat Net, or a Nomad El Jefe.

Answer: As far as corrosion resistance goes. Yes. It’s not a large net and the handle is fairly short. I fish both salt and freshwater. I can’t think of a salt water application for this net except for wet wading in the flats for less than 25” fish.

Is it possible to hang on back with handle down? Easier to grab that way.

Answer: It is. I use a magnetic fish net release for this purpose. I bought it here on amazon and use a ziptie to attach one ring to the net and a clamp to my vest/pants

how much does it weigh?

Answer: It does not weigh that much. Probably the same as a wood net. This net is not 100% Carbon Fiber. It is a Carbon Fiber / Fiberglass mix. My Girlfriend and me both use and love this net! And they look fantastic.
