I was pleasantly surprised by how well this thing works. The rechargeable battery will pay for this thing in no time. The one I had before used 6 AA batteries and did not work nearly as well as this one. Would be nice if it came with a rack to hold it.

You get small and large bags that you close, and you'll feel and hear the bag snapping shut, then you press your vacuum sealer on it and press the button and it takes the air out. Then when you want, you can take food out, close the bag again and use your sealer to the air out. No more trying to cut the bag and of course no one cuts it straight and you end up throwing the bag away. Not with this Portable Vacuum Sealer, the genius is the simplicity, a reclosable bag. You can continue using it until the food is gone, then just wash the bag and use it again. You literally shouldn't have to bag another bag again and it is so fast and easy and it works. It takes all the air out, just like it should!!

It's very compact and draws the air from the bags pretty well but not with the full draw down vacuume of a countertop model. Its easy to handle and easy to clean. It runs a long time on a single charge. I find it easy to use. The vac baggies are good too. Those washed out nicely after using for a vacuume marinade attempt which all went well. Not for foods with much liquids imo. It draws the liquids to the vac diaphram spot and pulls the liquid through.

Works fantastic—simple to operate! Definitely extends veggie life and enables me to marinate meats and chicken (in an inner ziplock if I plan to pull out fir grilling, or, this last weekend, I dry-rubbed the chops, wet marinated the chicken tenders, and sealed up all the breakfast sausages separately, froze them and chucked them in the cooler for 3 day car camping. I was the 7 minute sous vide chef and breakfast queen! For bonus entertainment, my cat thinks the vacuum pump is the devil when it’s running and will stalk it then explode onto the counter to attack it. If I wasn’t laughing so hard I might be more worried about him slashing my bags!

Saw this on sale during Prime Day & had good reviews. Decided to give it a try. Did not want to purchase the expensive and bulkly vaccum sealers. I don't freeze many items but noticed icing & bad smells on stuff in my freezer . This system uses a heavy duty zip lock for sealing. Put your item/items inside the bag..make sure the top is closed properly and put the pump over the circle on a flat surface. The air is drawn out quickly...it works. You can buy replacement bags on amazon. Not bad for the price for my minor use.
