If you camp at all and have access to USB to charge it the possibilities are endless for uses. If you go boating and want to keep items dry, like a phone, wallet, food etc.
At home, If you have the food storage ziploc bags or the containers you need this. So easy to use and a lot easier then bringing out the big food saver machine. Overall, great suction and we love that you can seal and reseal the same bag. Eliminates waste! Great product!

It's very compact and draws the air from the bags pretty well but not with the full draw down vacuume of a countertop model. Its easy to handle and easy to clean. It runs a long time on a single charge. I find it easy to use. The vac baggies are good too. Those washed out nicely after using for a vacuume marinade attempt which all went well. Not for foods with much liquids imo. It draws the liquids to the vac diaphram spot and pulls the liquid through.

Seems well made and works properly. Be aware that you cannot use it on flour or liquid because the vacuum sucks it up into the seal and causes leaks. I don't think this is a defect but would be a problem for any vacuum sealer of this type. But this works very well on dry items.

Definitely extends veggie life and enables me to marinate meats and chicken (in an inner ziplock if I plan to pull out fir grilling, or, this last weekend, I dry-rubbed the chops, wet marinated the chicken tenders, and sealed up all the breakfast sausages separately, froze them and chucked them in the cooler for 3 day car camping. I was the 7 minute sous vide chef and breakfast queen! For bonus entertainment, my cat thinks the vacuum pump is the devil when it’s running and will stalk it then explode onto the counter to attack it. If I wasn’t laughing so hard I might be more worried about him slashing my bags!

I recently bought a Souse Vide machine and because vacuum sealed bags were recommended I searched Amazon and found this nifty unit, which, thankfully, arrived next day. I knew absolutely nothing about vacuum sealers and this seemed like a good alternative to a bulky machine, many of which had some negative reviews. Good decision! Day 1 -- My first project was sealing shredded chicken to freeze for a future recipe. I gave the sealer unit a quick charge, and it worked right away (I later charged fully, which took a good hour or so). I followed instructions and sealed the chicken beautifully in less than a minute (pictured) and because the chicken was so moist, some liquid deposited on the sealer top. I remembered to check this as instructions say trapped moisture could cause damage. I took off the cap and dried thoroughly. (In future, I think I will use plastic wrap first for the moist stuff.) Next, I readied my steak for a first experience with my new Souse Vide machine. I sealed and made sure the valve was above the water (as recommended) and clipped in place. The steak was great and no leakage in the bag, so now I think I know what I’m doing! One caution -- make sure the bag is zipped tightly. If not, the sealer won’t be able to suck out the air. After having this experience, I now remember to carefully press hard and slide hard from side to side and in the middle. Day 2 -- I went on a sealing spree! Realizing that my frozen meatballs and bread always seem to form ice crystals (even when plastic wrapped in zip-lock freezer bags), I took those from freezer and sealed. I moved on to cereal and cookies as some of my “air-tight” containers are less than efficient, so thought I’ll try this instead (be careful not to crush!) So far so good. The bags open easily enough and resealing is a breeze, so I may have to order more bags! I will be using regularly.

Saw this on sale during Prime Day & had good reviews. Decided to give it a try. Did not want to purchase the expensive and bulkly vaccum sealers. I don't freeze many items but noticed icing & bad smells on stuff in my freezer . This system uses a heavy duty zip lock for sealing. Put your item/items inside the bag..make sure the top is closed properly and put the pump over the circle on a flat surface. The air is drawn out quickly...it works. You can buy replacement bags on amazon. Not bad for the price for my minor use.
