Nesco Snackmaster Clean dehydrator screen, One Size, White
NESCO Snackmaster Clean-A-Screens are ideal for dehydrating sticky fruits and small foods. Dry items like spices and herbs that would normally fall through the spokes of the dehydrator tray. Each removable mesh screen flexes for easy removal of sticky fruits like pineapple and is made of high-quality food grade plastic. To use, simply dry food on the rough side of the screen. To remove the food, use the finger notches on each side of the screen and flex toward the center with a curling action until the food becomes loose. If necessary, cool the screen in the refrigerator to aid in the removal of extremely dried-on food. NESCO Snackmaster Clean-A-Screens fit NESCO 20, 30, 60, and 70 Series Dehydrators are BPA-free and compatible with 13½” diameter trays. HAND WASH ONLY

Questions about Nesco Snackmaster Clean dehydrator screen, One Size, White
Q:
will these fit Mr coffee dehydrator
Answer: No, they won't (these are 13 inches across), but the Presto liners I bought did. They were slightly inclined toward the middle hole, so they won't fit on the top rack with the lid. Just use the line that came with the Mr. Coffee on the top tray and use Presto (measures approximately 12.5 inches) liners in the others. Worked just fine so far. Don't use heated dry if you put them in the dishwasher.
Answer: The product states which dehydrators they fit on. I would contact Nesco directly to see if they can help you. Good Luck!
Q:
What is the diameter of the center opening? I have a different dehydrator I cannot find these for.
Answer: Based on the other answer with the diameter of the inside hole and the diameter of the screens given, this should work for my Oster. It has a 3 inch hole and an measurement from the edge of hole to the inside edge of the outer ring is 13", so 12.5 inch diameter will just leave a little space on the outside edge. I am going to give it a try.
Answer: Center hole is 3". OD of ring is 12 1/2".
Q:
Would this be the right tray for dehydrating sprouted grains, such as spelt, or would the grains fall through?
Answer: Try placing the fruit roll sheet directly onto your tray. Then place your fine gains and herbs onto it. If you see that they are blowing around and getting tiny , then I would place one of your screens over your grains so they don't fly around.
Answer: I don't know about that because I've never entertained the idea of dehydrating sprouted grains. I just looked at my Clean-A-Screen tray and I don't think they would fall through because they have puffed up a bit. I don't do any sprouting myself but am going to give it a try after the holidays. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Answer: I never thought of dehydrating sprouted grains but would probably try it on a tray instead of a screen.
Answer: I have never dehydrated grains so I am not sure if they would work on these trays.
Answer: I dry lots of herbs on their stem perfectly. You could loose items through the lattice / grates. I suggest the fruit roll up tray which I make flaxseed chips on.
Answer: These should work great for the grains!
Answer: I would think they would be fine for sprouted grains. When I've used mine for small items, my only concern was that they would fly around during the drying process. Using two screens with the items sandwiched in between does the trick for that! You might have to adjust your drying time, though! Good luck!
Answer: the screens are pretty tight but I don't know how small the grains are.
Answer: Sorry to say, but anything smaller than a popcorn seed would go thru the screen. I used it to dry popcorn that we grew and some of it fell thru.
Q:
What is the difference between a mesh screen and a fruit roll sheets
Answer: The fruit roll sheet is solid plastic and the mesh screen has small holes in it. I use the screen for diced vegetables, herbs, etc.
Answer: The fruit roll sheets do not have holes and are great for spreading fruit puree on for fruit rollups. The mesh screens have holes through which a fruit puree would seep through.
Answer: Mesh screen has holes in it and fruit roll sheets do not have holes in them
Answer: Fruit roll screen holds liquid for making fruit roll mesh screen doesn’t hold any
Answer: The screen is easier to clean the the tray is and the fruit rolls holds the liquid and helps make great fruit roll ups for the kids
Answer: I'm sorry , I can't tell you the difference , I have only used the machine to make jerky , and use neither to do so . I can say the dehydrator does do a very good job making jerky , and am very happy with it !!!
Q:
Will these fit a gourmia gfd1550?
Q:
Has anyone used this for drying soy pulp (okara)?
Answer: This is not a fine enough screen for Okara. I am returning it and ordered cheesecloth to use as a loner instead.
Answer: I have not. Sorry I cannot help answer your question.
Q:
Will this fit nesco fd-37a food dehydrator
Answer: I own a Nesco Dehydrator and purchased those screens. They fit just fine. Just make sure that you own the round dehydrator with the center vent.
Answer: According to the Product Description, it fits FD-37.
Answer: Yes, they will fit.
Q:
How do I know what Nesco model I have?
Answer: Hello,
Answer: I'm not sure where your dehydrator model number is but mine on the head on the inside. Others may be under the unit.
Answer: The model should be on the box it came in or on the instructions pamphlet. Also, regardless of the model they should all take the same style of tray and screen.
Answer: The model number for my dehydrator is imprinted under the lid of the machine. It's hard to see, but the printing is molded into the plastic on the underside of the motorized lid.
Answer: I am not sure. I thought there was only one model. They seem to fit the round dehydrators.
Q:
Are these certified as BPA free?
Answer: as far as I know, they are bpa free
Answer: Yes they are!
Q:
why is California's Proposition 65 warning shown for these screens?
Answer: Not sure, but I can guess cuz they're plastic. Probably going to be illegal soon. Good luck
Answer: No idea, I'm in Oregon and didn't get any response about this item at all.
Answer: I am not a lawyer! My understanding of California Prop 65 is this: if there are any products or material in or used in the manufacturing of a product that are known to cause cancer. That item is required to have Prop 65 warning to be able to sell in California
Q:
Will these work for dehyrdrating sprout wheat? ty
Answer: Probably, even though I hate the screens.
Q:
will they fit fd-37A ?
Answer: Yes
Q:
why is California's Proposition 65 warning shown for these screens?

Q:
what is the diameter of these?
Answer: Don't know the diameter but I have the American Harvester Snackmaster Dehydrator Model FD50 and they fit great.
Answer: My screen is 12 1/2 inches. My Metric tape is buried somewhere right now (condo reconstruction) so you will need to convert it if you are on the metric system.
Answer: 12-1/4 inches exactly! Hope this helps. They're great!
Q:
I have the fd-75a, it came with just two nice silicone mesh trays, but i need more, are these the same ones? would not warp if they are...
Answer: Yes, these are the correct screens for the FD-75A.
Answer: They are better then the one that came with the machine
Answer: I bought these because of their price, knowing they would not fit my dehydrator, I simply cut them to fit:-) They work great.
Q:
do these fit the nesco fd79?
Answer: Yes, according to NESCO website these LM-2 clean a screen fit the fd79 dehydrator - they are both 13.5" diameter rounds. purchase with confidence.
Answer: Yes! These do fit the FD-79. Happy Dehydrating!
Q:
Would these work for making fruit leather?
Answer: The clean-a-screens are used for sticky fruits or small items that would fall through the holes in the trays. To make fruit leather, you would need the solid fruit roll sheet (Check the model number of your dehydrator to be sure you order the correct size)
Answer: No. These are to keep fruit from sticking. They have ones specifically to make fruit leathers. I have both types. The ones for leathers are solid.
Answer: I would say no. The fruit would drip down the small holes and be extremely difficult to get off. I bought the 6 pack of the fruit roll up sheets and they work great!
Answer: No. Your liquid foods would drip through the clean-a-screen. There are trays designed specifically for making fruit leathers.
Answer: No, they have holes. You need the solid plastic trays
Q:
Will these fit my Nesco FD-70?
Answer: Sorry, but I have a different model number. According to the item description, i would think NOT because model -70 is not listed.
Q:
Will this fit on a nutrichef? i have the 5 tray pkfd19bk
Answer: They are 12.5" in diameter with a 3" diameter hole in the middle.
Q:
What clean a screen works for nesco snack master
Answer: Good morning! Nesco makes several Snackmaster models. The screens you are looking at would work for most of the snackmaster models. If you are not sure what model you have please feel free to contact me at 800 538 1442 and I will be happy to assist you further. Thanks, Jo-Customer Service
Answer: Yes, I'm quite sure it will work for all Nesco dehydrators.
Q:
Will these fit a harvest Maid fd 50
Answer: Yes! This will fit the FD-50.
Answer: I have no clue but I personally hated these screens. Had to trim them to fit my dehydrator but I wouldn't buy them again.
Q:
Looking for sheets that will fit an Maxmatic Elite. Does anyone know if these will?
Q:
Does this fit model # FD-50?
Answer: Not sure! They are 12.5" in diameter with a 3" diameter hole in the center. I checked the Nesco site and can'tr find any reference to the FD 50. So I can't verify it will or will not fit, I think my first dehydrator was a FD 50 and I am still using the screens and trays and snack sheets.
Answer: Finally stumbled on the answer, Yes they will fit a FD-50.
Answer: mine is FD-60 so I can not answer tis question
Q:
What are the exact dimensions, please?
Q:
Hi. Do you ship international?
Q:
What are these screens made out of? Will they leech stuff if you put something acidic on them?
Answer: The screens are BPA free and food grade plastic.
Answer: Food grade plastic. Don't think you'll have any issues there. Have dried multiple fruits and veggies and haven't noticed anything that would make me wary of them.
Answer: I'm not sure of the exact material, but they're some kind of flexible plastic. Mine warped and distorted after two uses and melted to pieces after three uses, all while drying walnuts and cashews that I'd soaked in salt water.
Q:
hi i would like to know it screen fit to my nesco fd-1040 gardenmaster food dehydrator. thanks
Answer: These screens will not fit your FD-1040, but we do make Clean-A-Screens for the FD-1040. They can be found on Amazon here:
Q:
Can this item be used in the nutrichef pkfd12
Answer: I am sorry, I do not have any information on the Nutrichef product. The clean-a-screen fits the Nesco 13" trays.
Answer: Good evening and great question. These screens are 13" in diameter and I believe your machine is also 13" so these should work fine. If you want to verify you can refer to your users manual for specific tray dimensions. Thanks, Jo-Customer Serevice
Q:
Is there a small hole in the base of each book end?
Answer: Yes, there is a single hole in the base of each bookend.
Answer: Yes, there is a whole on the base.
Answer: Yes, they have a hole in each.
Q:
Will these fit a Nesco FD-39?
Answer: I am sorry to say that I do not know that answer. I have a RONCO and trimmed the trays down to fit it. I have never owned a Nesco and don't know anything about the different models.
Answer: If your unit has a temp. control the unit will need the larger screens. I could not find my model#, so I called Nesco and I was told the model 3 is stamped on the side of the motor head. Without a magnifying glass, I could not read my model #. I have been out of town or I would have gotten back to you sooner. I will add, the screens are not dishwasher safe.
Q:
Is the plastic certified as BPA free?
Answer: It does have a BPA free logo on their website, here:
Answer: I could not see it stamped on the screens, which would lead me to say not BPA free, but as suggested, call Nesco @ 8002684545
Answer: It does not say if it is BPA free. You can contact Nesco at 1-800-288-4545 and ask them.
Answer: I carefully checked the cardboard packaging that came with the screens and I do not see anywhere on them that it says PBA-free. I did put the question to the company on their website, so I'll respond again when I hear something from them. The website is www.nesco.com; number 1-800-288-4545. Hope that helps. You posed a great question...I'm looking forward to the answer.
Answer: They do say dishwasher safe, that is when the high temp. would melt off the coating (BPA) although mine screens warped in the DW.
Answer: I threw away the paper insert but I think it did have the "BPA free" advisory. I usually look for it when I buy things but I just can't remember for sure.
Answer: I don't know. Comes with scanty packaging which I've tossed. Probably need to ask the manufacturer.
Q:
does this fit the FD-77DT?
Answer: I don’t know all the models, check with the manufacturer.
Q:
Why aren’t these available BPA free?
Answer: No clue. My guess is you can't take BPA or BPS out of everything and still expect it to work.
Q:
Ordered and received solid ones want perforated. Are these perforated?
Answer: I know there are some that are solid. The ones I ordered were perforated, I would contact seller.
Answer: Yes, Fruit roll-trays are solid.
Answer: These are perforated but there are some that are solid. Make sure you read description.
Answer: Yes they are very small whole, so that when things dry they will not fall through like it would if it was on just the trays. Like, corn, green peppers, onions, etc.
Answer: Yes
Q:
Are these reusable? Also, I'm planning to use the dehydrator for making venison jerky. Will these extra screen trays be necessary?
Answer: Also, although they are not necessary for making jerky, I would still recommend them. The foods release from the screens easier than the trays themselves. I have had to 'peel' jerky off the trays, but the screens are flexible and release the foods without effort!
Answer: The Clean-A-Screen trays are definitely reusable. I've used mine many times. For making jerky, I would be more likely to use the solid fruit leather-type trays, but these would probably work fairly well.
Answer: Good morning and great question! No, these are not necessary but they do make cleaning your dehydrator trays easier if you are drying sticky items. Jo
Answer: They are reusable. I would recommend using a screen tray for jerky for even drying.
Answer: Yes, they are re-usable. I have used them probably 50 times (so far) and they are in perfect condition. Some are a bit stained from dehydrating red peppers, but perfectly good for me! I would recommend them for anyone with the appropriate dehydrator!
Answer: we dried herbs and jerky sticks and was pleased with the outcome. the are washable I thought very easy to use.
Answer: Yes they are reuseable. And i would not think you would have to use these to make jerky. Good luck
Answer: IF I even purchased these it was any years ago and as a gift, so I don’t know the answer. Sorry.
Q:
How many in order?
Answer: Two per order.
Answer: There are two
Answer: 2
Answer: 2
Answer: Mine were all in pairs.
Q:
Will this fit open country sportsman kitchen dehydrator? it says open country is made by nesco. they look the same size.
Answer: Hello,
Answer: I have Nesco dehydration system it fits perfectly
Answer: Probably. Buy it and if it doesn't fit you can always return it
Q:
hi i ordered 3 sets of 2 clean a screen tray for FD-75pr my order number is 029517123002 i got only 3 not 3 sets
Q:
Has the product been re-engineered to solve the warping issues in the last few years? Complaints seem to end around 2015.
Answer: i used these many times over while drying herbs this year and they are wonderful. no warping.
Answer: I bought mine in April and have used repeatedly with no warping issues.
Answer: My screens were bought new about 8 months ago and both warped on first use with different foods in them.
Q:
Can the dehydrator trays br sprayed with non stick spray prior to dehydrating meat, fruit or vegetables?
Answer: They don’t need to be... Once the fruit/meat has dried sufficiently, it doesn’t stick at all. Additionally, spray seems to “gum up” over time (I did this previously.)
Answer: I've never had to use anything on the trays because nothing really sticks to them! If anything sticks all you do is bend the flexible piece and it pops right off. I have dehydrated watermelon, papaya, carambola, etc and nothing has stuck enough to worry about.
Answer: Yes , I always spray my trays with “pan non stick” when making jerky ! Makes it a little messy , but makes a world of difference getting strips of ground meat off !!
Answer: I did not get to use mine as they did not fit the the racks on my dehydrator.
Answer: It is not necessary to spray the trays and not recommended since it will negatively affect shelf life of your food and eventually the spray will begin to stick to your trays. Instead of spraying non stick spray I recommend purchasing screens for your dehydrator trays. I purchased screens and absolutely love them. I use the fruit roll up screen on the very bottom to catch any juice from dehydrating. Food doesn't stick to the screens like it does directly on the trays and clean up is a lot easier. I hope that answers your question to your satisfaction.
Answer: Yes they could be, but I never found it necessary. Works quite well without spray. I just lay meat pieces on a paper towel and blot the excess moisture. Works very well trays are easy to clean.
Answer: I have sprayed trays before for other foods. No problems arose
Q:
Is this a 1 pack or 2?
Answer: Pack of two. I personally wouldn't buy them again. They warp from the heat and there are better options out there.
Answer: 2
Answer: 2 if my memory is correct
Answer: It contains two screens.
Q:
Will these fit the Snackmaster Jr. (Nesco FD-20)?
Answer: My guess is yes, but I don't have a Nesco FD-20. If you have a ruler or tape measure, we can figure this out.
Answer: Sorry, I'm not sure. However, I looked up the Snack Master and believe that they should. I personally would go for it.
Answer: I do not know. You will have to call the company.
Answer: Not sure
Answer: Sorry, I'm not sure either.
Q:
How many?? basic information conflicted/ missing! 1 or 2? wth?
Answer: Both times I ordered they were a 2 pack
Answer: I got 2
Answer: I got 2
Answer: It comes with 2 screens.
Q:
Will these fit a Ronco dehydrator?
Answer: I have the Ronco Beef Jerky Machine (12 1/4" diameter trays) and these 12 1/2" screens have a bit of give and will fit snugly in the Ronco trays. Just push it down a bit and it's a snug fit. The fit is good enough that I will purchase more for my trays.
Answer: Hi Blueangel, I don't have a Ronco dehydrator to try it on. I was thinking of purchasing Ronco but I read the reviews on Nesco they were better and it had features Ronco didn't have. Sorry I'm not able to answer your question more fully for you.
Answer: I have owned a Ronco and I think that they would.
Q:
can you use seeds on this
Answer: The Clean-A-Screen has diamond shaped holes which measure 6/16" by 1/8" so larger seeds would work well but tiny seeds would fall through the openings.
Answer: I recommend the fruit roll up screens for seeds. I use these trays mainly for drying herbs.
Answer: It would depend on how big the seeds were. If you want to dry pumpkin seeds (or any seeds about this size), yes I think it would work quite well. What type of seeds did you have in mind?
Answer: It would seem that it would be easy to dry seeds for planting, if that is your question. It has temp control but tiny seeds may be affected by the "wind" . I was always told to toast seeds for eating, however. This is just speculation based on my limited knowledge and experience, though.
Answer: Absolutely, just flick the screen and they go flying.
Answer: Yes, absolutely
Q:
One reviewer stated the trays melter...........has anyone else had that problem? Could they of left the temp. too high too long?
Answer: I usually keep one of the solid trays in the bottom of the dehydrator all the time to catch bits that may fall through the screens, so it has been in there on all different temps and for hours at a time without any problems. I just recently dried some roasted garlic on a tray at fairly high temp over several days (turned it off at night) with no problem either.
Answer: I have never had a problem with any of my trays melting. I use them at all temps and when I'm done with a tray, I wash and dry them for the next usage. Perhaps you had a defective one? I would certainly contact the company and let them know what happened.
Answer: not had this problem
Answer: I have never had this problem. It has worked perfectly every time I have used it.
Q:
Are these trays made of silicone, nylon, or teflon?
Answer: After looking everywhere, the only description I can find is "Made from a BPA Free Food Grade Plastic." Hope that helps!
Answer: it is a type of slick plastic. Polyethylene i think?
Q:
Are these good if your drying beef patties on sliced meat to make jerky ?
Answer: I've dried meats without the screens and it worked fine. The screens provide two main benefits: they are flexible which makes it easier to remove your dried product at the end. They have smaller holes than the trays which prevents smaller items from falling through.
Answer: I suppose it should be have yet to use them. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Answer: yes!
Q:
would these work for a weston dehydrator, mine is round?
Answer: while I do not have any experience with Weston dehydrators, the Nesco clean a screens are approx. 13 inches in diameter edge to edge... and the center hole is approx. 3" if these line up with the Weston unit these might work. Thank you .
Answer: I don't know about your brand, but when I bought a new dehydrator, which was a bit smaller than the old one, I just cut off the outer ring and they work fine.
Answer: It may, we do not have any information on compatibility.
Q:
Would this mesh work for bee pollen?
Answer: Probably, depends on how big the balls of pollen are. If they are big then this should be fine, but medium or small may fall through the holes. As a guide, things that are the size of bought dried oregano flakes will probably fall through, things the size of pepper flakes will probably not fall through.
Answer: I have no idea since I don't know what would be involved with bee pollen.
Answer: I purchased this as a gift and the recipient never provided any feedback to me, so, sorry, I can’t help.
Product reviews of Nesco Snackmaster Clean dehydrator screen, One Size, White
misterdaveusa : Fits
It fits as advertised, because it is from the company that made my dehydrator.
Giancarlo Croce : A "Must Have" item for your dehydrator
Clean up is simpler with these Nesco American Harvest Clean-A-Screen Trays, but hand washing them is not so simple. They are especially difficult to clean after making jerky, but they do come clean nicely if you toss them in the top rack of the dishwasher.
Don't believe that food won't stick! It will. But you will find that removing sticky items from these is much easier than removing it from the bare dehydrator racks.
So far, they seem relatively durable, and well worth the price.
Mary : They don't fit.
So disappointed. These were to order with a dehydrator that I bought. And they don't fit.
CaptainBlackton : Makes the dehydrator much easier to use and clean!
These make the dehydrator trays a lot easier to clean and re-use. The food peels up or pops off pretty easily once dried, and if it sticks, all you have to do is lift up this mat, and the food will pop right off by itself. I don't even clean my trays anymore until the end of the harvest season when I put the dehydrator away for the winter. Feels a little over-priced for what you get though...
Rebelhen : Dehydrators Best Friend
Clean-a-Screen at first glance they seem thin and flimsy; however, they proved me wrong. I have used them for a couple years now. They are sturdy. You can put in dish washer. Be aware that some things you dehydrate may discolor these screens, it does not stop them from doing their job. They hold no grudges. Product is easier to remove from the screens than from direct contact on trays, plus small items do not fall thru the holes as with the trays. Don't get me wrong you do need the trays to hold the screens.
Travis P. Hatfield : Great addition to any dehydrator!
When I purchased my dehydrator it came with two of these screens and after my first use decided that I was definitely going to purchase more. They make a big difference in cleanup and keep most of your dehydrated foods from sticking to the trays. They are easy to clean and can be thrown in the dishwasher for a quick wash.
If you are going to be using your dehydrator much I definitely think that picking these up would make the process a little bit easier and would gladly recommend them to anyone.
Just for some details I have the Nesco 75-PR and the trays fit perfectly.
Henry Wolford : Should be standard equipment with every dehydrator
I know this is a way to add cost to the sale of the dehydrator, but they really should be standard equipment, or the stock trays should have openings his small. I think these are the same thing as the fruit roll-up trays, but I can't be sure. We bought these to dry herbs, as to not let the finer ones like dill fall through. They make all the difference in the world.
Amazon Customer : Perfect
Perfect
Grammy05 : screen good
Fit nicely and easy to clean. Herbs stayed in place.
elliemae34 : I Love Them!!
I have already ordered 4 more! Since receiving this past week I have dehydrated cooked rice, about 30 lbs of diced peaches, 10 lbs of diced potatoes, 2 bunches of green onions, one bunch of celery diced, 4lbs of carrots diced and 3 big bunches of parsley. These inserts work so much better than the DIY craft mesh inserts or the parchment paper. The difference is like night and day. I highly recommend them. I will be ordering more as I order my extra trays. I've got 6 trays with clean a screens right now and have 6 more to go.
leenelson : Great all the way around
Have older products and these are just a great as them. They serve the purpose and do the job wonderfully. I would recommend to anyone. Not to mention you actually get to talk with a live person if you have questions.
Terry : Great add to my dehydrader.
Well made and good value.
Mr D : work so-so
Wanted these to keep food from falling through as they dried and shrunk.
They work (But) They warped or deformed almost immediately where one side would Not lay flat :-(
I still use them but I don''t like that I can't use the whole screen/tray.
They are cheap so not worth sending them back- I"ll just try another brand next time and hope they don't warp.
M. Carlson : Works great for herbs
My dehydrater machine was purchased at my local thrift store so it didn’t come with these finer mesh trays. Good value for dying my kitchen herbs so I can have organically grown herbs even in the winter months.
Brittany Williams : Fantastic, durable, flexible, amazing!
I love my Nesco Clean A Screen Trays! I use them in my Nesco Snackmaster Pro and they work like a charm. The mesh is the perfect texture and spacing. This allows plenty of air to move through the items while they are dehydrating. Because it is made of a silicone material, nothing sticks to it and everything cleans up so easily. I don't use these tray inserts for everything I put in the machine. I only use them for the sticky or fragile items like fruit pieces or herbs. Right now, I have some mint sprigs dehydrating and I am using these Nesco screen trays. Everything has been going for about 14 hours and the herbs are very easy to move around and change positions for new air flow. I will come back and attach photos to show the trays in use. This is making my life so much easier when it comes to dehydrating. I have been very satisfied with their performance so far. When I used these for teriyaki beef jerky... they absolutely saved my life. I had never made this jerky before and it ended up being very sticky. If I had just laid those pieces on my standard tray, I would have ended up with shredded beef pieces and that's not a good look. But, with these flexible screen trays, I was able to pry them off slowly and everything was nice and pretty. (With a fun waffle pattern from the screen. lol) These screens have lasted a few years now with pretty regular use.
Terry : Great add to my dehydrader.
Well made and good value.
Marian : Great for those small items you need to dehydrate
Love this for those small items that need to be dehydrated. Chopped garlic and made my own garlic powder. Nothing falls through. Now onto basil, parsley and other seasonings.
Amazon Customer : These came as a recommended purchase with the NutriChef electric food dehydrator I purchased
These came as a recommended purchase with the NutriChef electric food dehydrator I purchased. They did not fit in the food dehydrator and I had to cut them to fit. The plastic was really brittle and ended up cracking in many places as I was cutting them to fit. On the upside, they do a great job of keeping my dried fruit off of the dehydrator trays. However, only three stars because they are recommended to fit with the NutriChef dehydrator and they don't.
Amazon Customer : Good product
These are a very good product and easy to use.
Patricia Furia : Thank you
I have two nescos dehydrators and they are the best ever made. Thank you for a great product.
cat-h : like basil or rosemary
if you use your dehydrator for small items, like basil or rosemary, etc, this will help them not fall thru the screen. if you dry fruit, these are way, way easier to clean than the dehydrator trays. they can soak in the sink, unlike the trays, which are too big. good value for the money too.
MD : Good mesh, fits perfect
The same that came with my dehydrator,
Pliable, easy to get food off.
Small mesh lets air through but catches small bits.
Great for lots of little foods.
Glad I have extra of these every time I make small items
Grammy05 : screen good
Fit nicely and easy to clean. Herbs stayed in place.
Barbara A. Halsell : They warp in use
They warped with the first use. I am trying to flatten under something heavy. Would have been better if I had found metal screens.
virginialea52 : clean a screen a must have
I purchased a food dehydrator last year and decided to see what was available to go with it. I didn't know what the clean a screen was so I just ordered a set of two. These are a must! I loved them and ordered enough to use on every tray I had. They are so great. It keeps small foods from going strait through the tray holes. Some tiny things still go through, but it is still very helpful. I process my cabbage, carrots, onions, etc. to a ground up consistency for making cabbage soup and dehydrate them so it makes it fast and easy to make the soup. These clean a screens lets the air and heat circulate around the food while it dries. They clean up sooooooooo easy. I just wash them by hand with a few wipes of the dish cloth, the small amount of food left on them comes right off. I do spray them with a small amount of cooking spray and the food doesn't stick to them.
Mr Fitz : Allows for smaller clippings.
I've had problems before with herbs such as parsley leaves that would fly all over the drier - requiring me to keep them attached to the stems until dried. Unfortunately, that makes them more difficult to remove from the stems and takes up more room in storage containers. With the screens, I can now strip the leaves before drying and save on space/effort after the fact.
Joe S. : Perfect Fit
My wife and I use a Nesco Professional Dehydrator and these are perfect. Fit just like the original and allow you to use more trays at the same time. Have been using heavily for 45 days with no problems. Happy with product, would buy again.
jennifer fernette : Ok
Good not sure if you need them though
Sara V. : Sent wrong sheets!!!!
Got sent the wrong sheet & it didn’t fit into my Nesco dehydrator.
matt cecil : Nesco food dehydrator insert
Plastic tray insert for a Nesco food dehydrator. Works great. I use it to cure gummie bears
L. Lavender : Not good for fruit rollups or anything with liquid.
Horrible to use with any type of liquid consistency, like Fruit Rollups, etc. Not only did the pulp leak through the grates, but it then stuck to the drying tray, which caused everything to stick. Washing my trays then became a huge chore. Worked great for Ground Meat Jerky, which I will only use for.
Augnut : Good product
They work so small things don't fall through the trays. They don't lay very flat when you first get them.
Jesse Knott : These are nice to have when drying herbs
These are nice to have when drying herbs, or thin slices of fruit that would have stuck to the racks otherwise.
Janan : I recommend it to family and friends five star.
Very nice product and they send you glove so that you don't get any lacerations.
Bob : Makes cleanup quicker
Makes cleanup quicker and keeps small things like thyme from falling through.
Connie Brinkmann : What dehydrators these fit?
According to the product dimensions these should have worked in my Ronco dehydrator. They curl when heated and are very hard to use. If you have the dehydrator these are designed for, they will probably work okay. Not very happy with them but the mesh type liners weren't available.

Saundra : On my knees...
I have only used this twice so far, but my results have been mostly good.
My only complaint is that there is no power switch. When you plug it in, it immediately comes on. The only way to shut it off is to unplug it. In my tiny kitchen, this is not an easy task. To access the only available outlet, I have to get down on my hands and knees and reach down under a table. I don't think a power switch located on the unit itself would have been too difficult to add to its settings. Nesco, are you listening?

douglas curtis : Great value.
They worked very well for making powder eggs.
Cwas : Product was in fine
Did not fit the FD-75. Idk where else to find a smaller one. The ones I got were too big. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks.
Product was in fine condition
KDA : A must if you are going to dry with a Nesco dehydrator
These are necessary for the Nesco dehydrators--don't try to dry most foods without them! The first time I used my Nesco I dehydrated directly on the trays that came with the unit. That was not fun at all. The pieces stuck to the trays and were hard to remove, since the hard plastic doesn't bend. I was afraid I was going to break one of the spokes. These screens are great, and you can remove sticky foods by bending the screens to help you peel food slices away from them. Much easier to clean than hard plastic as well. Two thumbs up.
Marian : Great for those small items you need to dehydrate
Love this for those small items that need to be dehydrated. Chopped garlic and made my own garlic powder. Nothing falls through. Now onto basil, parsley and other seasonings.
megby : A must for dehydrating sticky foods ...
These screens are a must have if you're dehydrating sticky foods! My Nesco dehydrator only came with two of these, so I ordered more so I could have them in each tray. They allow you to pick up the clean-a-screen when you're done hydrating and flex them so the stuck items just pop off. They are very, very handy. I actually use them with everything I dehydrate. Plus they seem to hold up really well ... I've been using mine for a few months now with several trips through the dehydrator and washing (hand washing) and haven't had a single break, tear, crack, etc.
AH : Hot water and a bottle brush cleans them really easily. Wouldn't dehydrate without them
Use for home made beef jerky as well as fruits and vegetables. Makes the process a lot easier. I use these on the top trays and one of the solid sheets on the bottom tray to catch drips. Hot water and a bottle brush cleans them really easily. Wouldn't dehydrate without them.
Boris the Spider : They work but stain easily
The screens from my old Nesco were a finer mesh and did not stain like these do. While this is purely 'cosmetic', it shows that the plastic used is of a lower grade.
