What pound test dose it take on this reel, Because I notice on the real it says 2#, 3#, 4#?

Answer: This reel can hold 8-12lb mono but you can get away with 14lb mono for the maximum line capacity & 17lb fluorocarbon the line dis is still around the same as 12-14lb mono so 17lb floro will work too I do all the time still works great but dont over spool the line can cause backlashes easily with any bait caster.

Answer: I’ve got 6 pound test you can use up to 10 pound and be just fine

Answer: I haven’t loaded with line or used it since I got it. Probably be anothe month before I try it out.

i need to reel with my right hand. so would that be considere left or right?

Answer: If you reel with your right hand a bait caster with the handle on the right is what you need. I am right handed and use this type of baitcaster. A lot of people like a spinning reel because the handle can be easily no ed to left or right side of the reel.

Answer: I can't say for sure.I have been a Salmon & Steelhead Guide for over 30 yrs on the Rogue River in Oregon - now retired. I have used this reel for about a month with 20 lb tough line on it - fought at least 8 salmon with it and I am favorably impressed so far for the price. I most likely test its limit more than some but I give it a thumbs Up!

I need a new handle or grip grommets for this reel? A grommet came off during a retrieve with a fish on which resulted in the foam grip slipping off.

Answer: I had the same happen to me luckily my grommet stayed in the boat if you can find grommets for it I suggest super glue them on it's what I did and haven't had a problem since

Answer: Line capacity will vary depending on line diameter! I use my Reel for bass fishing with a heavier backing line to use less of my quality line! For my use the capacity is not because it holds so much line for my application. These is an awesome Reel I have two and will buy again if need be! Good luck!

Answer: NO don't waste your money.I have a SHIMANO CORADO DC AT $249.00. WITH ITS 11 POUND DRAG. I hooked a 9 pound bass the drag did not hold it. I had to hand line it in. the chip is a waste of money too. I steal thumb my reel.

Answer: Since it is a casting reel, get a casting rod. Most fishing with this type reel is for fresh water bass. Assuming that I suggest a 6’-7’ rod length, graphite material, power range of Medium or Med light or Med heavy. Average line strength is 14-15 lbs. with a range of 12-20 lbs. test line. There are several grip handles to choose from, two piece or one piece. A decent rod will cost $35-$125 average good is $60-$75

Answer: I don't know the difference between #1 #2 #3. Except maybe the reel colors. I do know that it's drag work better than the shimamo corado withit's computer at 1/5 the price. I like mine alot.

I paired this reel with the Sougayilang telescoping baitcasting rod, making a very good travel combination. The weight and feel are good, but what is important is this reel casts very well. The brakes and tension adjusted I’m getting good distance with no backlash, even as poorly as I cast. I’d definitely buy again.

After the first cast I knew something was wrong. I marked the spool and turned the handle. I counted 6 revolutions. It is not a 7.0 to 1. Its a 6.0 to1.
