Can the user adjust the calibration if the readings are not accurate?

Answer: We tested ours with a known weight and it was accurate. This scale zeroes out after each weighing. I don't believe we can re-calibrate it.

Will it read pounds and ounces at the same time? Like instead of 2.5lbs will it read 2lbs and 8oz?

Answer: The scale reads 4 different units: 2.50lbs, 2.500kg, 2.5oz, and 2.50JIN (2 JIN = 1 KG). It does not read pounds and ounces at the same time (2lbs 8oz). I hope that helps.

Answer: I wouldn't say it's accurate but it's pretty close. I use the scale on my suitcases when I travel and they haven't been overweight at the airport.

How do u hook a fish?

Answer: Ignore the sellers advice. You never hook the fish in the gills or puncturing their mouth with the hook. You either bag them and weigh the bag or use a clip that holds the fish via pressure (like a potato chip bag clip). You'll do damage in the gills or hooking them.

It is a OK scale, but not great as a fish scale. It is just quite awkward to use as a fish scale. The handle is awkward and clunky and the hook is not shaped well for fish. The hook needs to be a larger wide hook. Even as a luggage scale it would be just meh. If using it for fish, I would look for a better one.

I purchased this item to weigh buckets of salads. I have to find out how much salads are left in buckets, it could be anywhere between 1 pound and 30 pounds. I just put the hook under the lip of the bucket, and hold it up until it gives me the weight. Makes it easy, instead of guessing. Best gadget ever!

I bought this for measuring fertilizer because I saw Allyn Have, The Lawn Care Nut, using it. It's so frustrating. It's digital so it automatically "locks" when it thinks you're done weighing. It does this super fast. Like right when you adjust the bag you're pouring from. Boom, it's locked. Then you keep pouring and look at the number and realize it's way off. I don't know if you've ever tried to get fert back in a bag. Not easy. So then you gotta bring in a second bucket and what not. Ultimately I just get frustrated and fudge it. I'm buying an analog one or a scale for grains that I can set my bucket on.

I purchased this and use it to measure fertilizer used in my lawn. I can weight out for instance what the label says to use for 1000 sq ft then set the spreader opening to calculated or suggested setting. Knowing the proper amount I can adjust the opening or my walking speed to end up with the proper results. I then log everything and either use that setting for that weight the next time or make further adjustments. The Tare feature makes it easy to eliminate the weight of the 5 gallon bucket from the weight of the product. Other than that is is a nice scale to measure anything that I can hang from it. I wish I had done this years ago. It is surprising how far off one can be using the spreader settings on the bag. There are a lot of variable in the equation but knowing the weight and the area help narrow it down.

This is a must have for fishing trips! I used to carry a tape measure with me all the time, it got some water in it and corroded. So I bought this and I am glad that I did.

This is quite compacted for what it does. The scale can handle weights heavier than 100 pounds! which I probably won't need and the max length of the tape measure is 1 meter or about 3.2ft. The weight and tape measure is more than what I need for freshwater and some shore fishing.

The carrying pouch it comes with is a plus!

What impressed me about the scale was it's rugedness and good looks.The backlight for my type of work at night was excellent.I drone fish at night so it's imperrative a can read the scale clearly.The waterproof bag too was a plus and the weighing hook recess to place the hook into is great because it keeps the hook out of the way.There is only one thing that needs to be rectified is the e-mail address.It is incorrect.So therefore I
was not able to pass my praise in that more personal way.

I bought 2 scales of similar styles (different brands) - one I'm keeping at home and the other I'm keeping at an apartment that my family travels to (so we can weigh our luggage before heading back. For luggage and fish, the hook is WAY too small. For heaving luggage, the handle design is a bit difficult (should have some ergonomics considered when holding up a giant 50 pound bag). However, the scale is accurate and it is easy to read, use, and setup. For the price? not bad at all.
