Can the user adjust the calibration if the readings are not accurate?

Answer: We tested ours with a known weight and it was accurate. This scale zeroes out after each weighing. I don't believe we can re-calibrate it.

Will it read pounds and ounces at the same time? Like instead of 2.5lbs will it read 2lbs and 8oz?

Answer: The scale reads 4 different units: 2.50lbs, 2.500kg, 2.5oz, and 2.50JIN (2 JIN = 1 KG). It does not read pounds and ounces at the same time (2lbs 8oz). I hope that helps.

Answer: I wouldn't say it's accurate but it's pretty close. I use the scale on my suitcases when I travel and they haven't been overweight at the airport.

How do u hook a fish?

Answer: Ignore the sellers advice. You never hook the fish in the gills or puncturing their mouth with the hook. You either bag them and weigh the bag or use a clip that holds the fish via pressure (like a potato chip bag clip). You'll do damage in the gills or hooking them.

Tool Nut : Works pretty well but ....

I’m actually using this to recalibrate torque wrenches. It seems to work pretty well but occasionally it just doesn’t turn on. But for its intended purpose it is working.

I purchased this and use it to measure fertilizer used in my lawn. I can weight out for instance what the label says to use for 1000 sq ft then set the spreader opening to calculated or suggested setting. Knowing the proper amount I can adjust the opening or my walking speed to end up with the proper results. I then log everything and either use that setting for that weight the next time or make further adjustments. The Tare feature makes it easy to eliminate the weight of the 5 gallon bucket from the weight of the product. Other than that is is a nice scale to measure anything that I can hang from it. I wish I had done this years ago. It is surprising how far off one can be using the spreader settings on the bag. There are a lot of variable in the equation but knowing the weight and the area help narrow it down.

This scale is pretty accurate, but the data lock function does not work. It’s pretty terrible. So unless you can look at the screen while you weigh, it’s useless. As a hanging scale, it’s probably fine.

Great digital readout, the only reason for just three stars is the time it takes for this to turn on. As I use it for fishing and this slow upstart makes me keep the fish out of water longer, and being a catch and release fisherman this is not a good delay. Be sure to use fish grippers with it so no holes have to be poked in the fishes mouth.

It is a OK scale, but not great as a fish scale. It is just quite awkward to use as a fish scale. The handle is awkward and clunky and the hook is not shaped well for fish. The hook needs to be a larger wide hook. Even as a luggage scale it would be just meh. If using it for fish, I would look for a better one.

I was ready to return this because it kept "locking" the weight as I was adding material to a bucket. But, I did a search and found that if you hold down the tare button for a few seconds it will read "L_off" and the data lock is turned off. After that, it functions like a normal scale and works great. I use it in pottery for mixing 5 gallon batches of glaze or clay.
