How does the lighted squid work? How does it turn on?

Answer: It uses water as conductor. Once in the water it turns on automatically.

Answer: When it gets wet it turns on, when it's dry it turns off. However in salt water it takes a while. I would recommend you wash it off in fresh water to make it turn off sooner. You should wash all tackle in fresh water anyway.

Answer: Awesome. Used for halibut and it did te job. If they make one heavier I wil buy that also.

How deep can this lure go? I can't see a depth rating.

Answer: No idea.. haven't used them yet.. I thought they would be bigger.. 6" must be from the tip of the swivel to the end of the hook. I was thinking I could use it for swording but the hook is way to undersized. Will take it apart and re-rig it.

Answer: up to 1000yd.

The light worked very well in the water, and the lure itself is a good design and realistic. Sadly I lost mine right away, make sure to use strong fishing line because it is a heavier lure.

Jimmy Carter 345 : Rig and crimp on your own hook before using.

The product was amazing, the crimping however was awful, got one bite and never heard a thing and when I reel it up the lure was gone and so was the hook and you can see that the crimping failed.
