Answer: Suspending, I think so. The Large-5 pcs can dive 0.5-2m and the Small-6 pcs can dive 0.1-0.3m

Answer: We were trolling and no matter the length of the line it stayed about 2 feet under the surface If you want it to sink will need to add weight. Caught some nice fish on these! Sea of Cortez.

is it good for surfcasting?

Answer: They're pretty light. You'd be better off doing what I did. I added bigger swivels, split rings and hooks, so they cast a bit farther now with the added weight.
