Product reviews of PENN Warfare Star Drag Multiplier Fishing Reel for Saltwater Boat or Kayak Fishing
Amazon Customer : Very nice
Nice reel and casting was very smooth we will see if it holds up on a big fish
Biggun : Received a bad reel
I have 2 other Warfare reels and several other Penn reels that are great however this particular one seemed to be missing parts and the handle was very wobbly. I have handled this same reel in stores and it seemed fine. I love Penn products and believe I received a lemon or one that was returned after parts were removed. I may re purchase at later date and try another one.

Russ : It's kinda sad
Decent reel at a decent price, I guess. I bought a Warfare and a Squall at the same time from Cabela's 2 years ago. I've put a ton of hours on both so feel like I can give an informed review at this time. I fish mainly for big Blues and Flatheads with them and having a boat I don't have to cast very far with them. They've both held up well with a repair being made to strengthen the reel seat last year. I've fought and landed 50+ pound fish with them and they've performed OK. Personally, I dislike a level wind so bought a Daiwa Seagate and if you can afford just a little bit more money you'll be better served by the Seagate. I just bought me 2nd and 3rd Seagate and have relegated the two Penns to 2nd string. My old Senators I am still using on my first string of 6 rods that I typically have baited up and fishing together so was a little disappointed in Penn quality today. My 4/0 Senators, Jigmaster 500 and Squidder still perform flawlessly with not so regular maintenance. Sad.
