What are these bags made from? Can they really be reused?

Answer: Thank you for the inquiry. FoodVacBag brand bags are manufactured in China, in the same region where Foodsaver bags are produced.

Answer: Made of some type of plastic - like a very heavy plastic wrap... I suppose you could reuse but you'd have to really clean and dry them to keep bacteria out of the new food - not worth it!. Of course you'd lose size each time where you cut sealed edge off. I wouldn't advise reusing. They are way cost effective over seal a meal bags so I don't mind throwing away.

Answer: These bags have a high failure rate. It does not surprise me at all the first 4 bags you tried did not work. Get a refund and don't take no for an answer. It's not your Foodsaver, it's the bags. If they don't give you satisfaction, file an A to z claim.

Answer: I have not had a problem with any if the bags I bought.. If it does not seal it may be because there is a fold or crease in it or you have too much stuff in it and either need less food or a bigger bag.. I never tried to return any ad I didn't have a problem.. Good luck..

FoodSaver bags are expensive and I find that these are more affordable and work very well. I have also purchased the wider rolls, and they are also a quality product.

These bags have worked out great for all the food products for our motor home freezer.

one bundel was folded over on corner badly triedto floatted out an vac bundle but still curles up and will not feed into foodsaver slot this must have happened on forming line q. c. should have seen it other bundel in master where flat and work fine

These bags are pretty much exactly the same as the name brand bags at a fraction of the price. I do occasionally struggle with getting a tight seal on a moist item in the foodsaver but ultimately not a big enough deal for me to not purchase these again, especially at this price!

Works well and a great price. They work fine with my Foodsaver, and much cheaper. I took 100 and gave 100 to my mother who likes them also. I would definitely order again at this price. I hadn't purchased the pints because they were so similar in price to the quart sized bags and that seemed silly. However, these are significantly less expensive and they make sense to buy. I find myself using them more than the quart size now.

These bags are ok but I am a little disappointed at the size. They are supposed to be 6" x 10". These bags are 5 7/8" x 9 3/4" Which end up leaving an opening of 5 2/8". I have bought name brand bags and when they say 6" x 10" that is what you get. The name brand bags end up with an opening of 5 3/4" that is a bit of difference. I would have bought the quart bags if I had known that the sizes ran smaller than what is stated.

Great quality, seals every time. Great size. Holds a nice 4-6 oz portion of chicken or a medium steak. Excellent for individual food prep. I put a bit of butter in with the pre-cooked chicken so when it reheats it's delicious. I also use this for precooked sweet potatoes. You can reheat in these bags too - 90 secs in the microwave thaws and reheats most foods.

So about 2 in 15 of these bags are crap right out of the bag...they're cheap so I guess you get what you pay for, but it is incredibly frustrating. Especially when you're dealing with raw chicken breasts or pork chops and trying not to turn your kitchen into salmonella central.

These bags do NOT work with Foodsaver brand vacuum sealers. The air will not suck out of the bags. I brought back two perfectly good vacuum sealers before I realized the problem might be the bags. When I switched to the genuine Foodsaver bags, they worked just fine on the third vacuum sealer. They might work just fine with other vacuum sealers, but do NOT buy them if your vacuum sealer is Foodsaver.

The bags I received from Commercial Bargains have worked perfectly. They are a higher grade of bag and have more thickness to them than the food saver bags. I hope from reading the other reviews, as I buy more, that I don't receive an off brand or different brand from this seller as I really like these ones. They have worked every time. Even my food saver brand bags did not. I am really pleased with this purchase.

Kamakanui : Too Many of These Bags Won't Suck

For reasons I am unable to discern, the failure rate of these bags is high. When one of these bags won't vacuum seal, it just won't vacuum seal, try as I might, so into the trash it goes. What a waste. If it was 1 bag out of 10 I guess I could live with it, but for example, it took 11 bags to seal 8 sandwiches, a failure to vacuum and seal rate that is consistent and totally unacceptable. My rating for these vacuum bags is "an aggravating waste of time, money and effort".
