Answer: I believe that it should, not sure 100% but I think that first you will have to start on the lower level. And so on until seals the proper way you want it.

Answer: The body is metal. The one I purchased only lasted a few months.

Answer: It's actually metal. Though I must say when I got it, it did not work. Given that when I got it, I instantly needed it. Fortunately, I am mechanically inclined so I popped it open and fixed it, since it was a simple alignment issue with the internal switch. Once working, however, I have cranked out a boatload of skateboard bags and shrink wrapped several boards, so once tuned to your plastic type, seals very well.

Answer: Well, this is an adjustable temperature, and I have found you just have to test it until you find the best setting for the thickness of your plastic, but I think it would do just fine. I use it with the large plastic tube rolls for making skateboard bags for packaging and that's like 4 mil two layers. Also works great on the heat shrink wrap tubing as well for decks. I did, however, have to pop the casing open and re-align the switch with the lever to get it working at first. But it may have loosened in shipment...

Answer: One comes with a free iPhone 7 and one doesn't. I'll let you find out which one comes with it.

when you pull the bar down on the PVC, does it seal it and let you pull it off?

Answer: It does create a seal for me and I am able to pull it so it cuts off the end. I had to time it right, but its not difficult. Owned it for a year now, had to replace the coil on top (easy). very happy with it!

This is a classic "Bait and Switch" in my opinion. The advertisement states "Anti-Rust iron body." It is actually a very flimsy plastic body that flexes quite a bit when pressure is applied to the handle. Next, the ad states that it has a 5mm seal (the actual reason I bought it) but it is only a 2mm seal and it actually states that in the owners manual. I can see that I'm not the first person to note these discrepancies, so I wish the seller would change the ad. Based on the quality of the materials used in its construction, I do not believe that this sealer would hold up very well if it were used a lot.

I contacted the seller, who was pretty good about taking it back, but it took several e-mails and I waited over 10 days to get my money refunded.

The sealer looks nothing like that pictures provided. The body is made of a blue hardened plastic material (similar to trash bins) instead of iron as stated. It is extremely flimsy. The electrical cord is short (two feet long) and looks like it could be ripped apart with the slightest tug. Please do not purchase this impulse sealer from this seller. This is a rip off at it's worst.

It was not great quality. It didn't sit on my counter flat it wobbled really bad. The handle did not come down straight. You have to really pay attention when you are doing it otherwise it goes off to the side and does not seal your bag. The instructions were ridiculious too. They were in broken english and didn't make any since. I purchased this because I do a monthly freezed dried meal group and was using a really nice impulse sealer that belonged to the family. Someone else wanted to use it, so I got this for a back up when I didn't have my nice one. Not worth the $60. I would rather use my flat iron to seal my mylar bags if I needed to.

The bad: This product falsely advertises a seal width of 5mm. According to the specification sheet (which is written in broken English), this model has a sealing width of 3mm. The quality is not high. Also, there is a small section that heats up more than the rest. It's located on the side closest to the hinge, and has a length of about 10mm, measured from the edge. This section causes an uneven burn. Lastly, the body is not made of metal, as advertised.

The good: Functionally, it performs. The remaining section of about 390mm burns uniformly. So if your bags are less than about 15.35 inches, with proper positioning, you will get a good burn. Just place bags away from the hinged corner. It also comes with a spare kit consisting of an extra heating element wire, and heat cloth. The price is extremely low, compared to other sealers so it may be worth it. The fact that it isn't made of metal is not a major concern. It is made out of a hard/thick plastic, which may last its lifetime. Speaking of lifetime, and based on the quality, I estimate this sealer to last about 1-3 years of heavy use.

How to use:
1. Plug in, and turn dial to desired heat setting. (You will need to experiment with a test bag to find the right number).
2. Place bag over the heating element, do not place bag near the hinged corner.
3. Push the handle down, press firmly. You will hear a click, and the light will turn on. (This means the heating element is engaged).
4. The light will then turn off after a brief time, a few seconds. (This means it is done, and no longer heating).
5. Lift handle, and inspect seal. You should not be able to pull the bag apart, and the seal should be uniform, running from end to end.
6. Inspect the heat sealer for any build-up or burned plastic, wipe with dry cloth, keep the device clean.

Tips: Please make sure to place the sealer on a stable, and even surface. It has a tendency to wobble slightly (the wobble is slight/not that bad). Test the different heat levels with a sample bag. you want a seal that cannot be pulled apart. If you have concerns about breathing burning plastics, I suggest sealing in an open and ventilated area, or wearing a breathing device. If you are trying to seal a bag that is very thick, try this technique:
After step 4, instead of lifting the handle all the way up...Lift it up just enough to hear the click, then press down and engage the heating element again. This will deliver a second heat impulse. Repeat as necessary. The sealer cools off very quickly, so it will be safe to touch seconds after heating. But always practice common sense, and safety.
