Product reviews of Kwasyo Food Dehydrator Machine with Keep Warm Function, 7 Layers ALL Stainless Steel, 24hours Adjustable Timer & Temperature Control, Dehydrators for Food and Jerky, Fruit Vegetable Pet Treats, 650W
Dark Helmet : Glad I picked this one
I wanted a dehydrator to make sugar free craisins, jerky and treats for one of my cats who is severely allergic to fish. So far the cat has refused to eat everything I've tried to make for her, but I can't fault the unit since the results have been tasty.
I decided to get this one because it can reach the temperature to safely make chicken jerky and it's almost all metal with a glass door. I didn't want heated plastic leaving who knows what on the food. A strong magnet will weakly stick to the racks so they do appear to be 304 stainless. They have held up to several trips through the dishwasher with no rusting. I like that the spaces between the wires are small (about 1 cm) so smaller items don't fall through. For really small stuff like blueberries or currents you'll need to get mesh mats but they're easy to trim to fit the racks.
The manual and recipe book have some first-rate Engrish so are not that useful but the controls are simple and easy to figure out. The fan is quiet enough that you don't notice it in the next room. I don't have much counter space in the kitchen so I use it in the laundry room. It is quite long front-to-back and has vents on the side that needs clearance, especially at higher temperature.
Engineer D. : Well-made dehydrator, easy to operate
This is my first time dehydrating anything, but I got this to dehydrate sour cherries. I really like them, but they're only available in mid-July, and freezing them takes too much refrigerator space.
There are 7 grates, supposedly made of 304 stainless steel. That's unusual, and I hope this is true. I've only had it for a short time, and haven't seen any rust yet. I have other kitchen things made from 304 steel, and they last forever. The only thing I can confirm is that the grates are not magnetic (which is consistent with 304 steel).
The 650W on the dehydrator refers to the maximum power, but it does not use 650W continuously. I measured the actual usage, and I'm seeing it oscillate between 612W and 58W. Running it for 10 hours in a cool room, set to 104F used 3.8 KW-hr (at a cost of about 38 cents). So I'd say it's fairly economical.
The dehydrator comes well packaged, and there's a comprehensive user manual and a recipe book. All you have to do is plug it in, set the temperature and time, and it's running.
My cherries came out just fine, and I am now dehydrating apricots from a local farm. Working just fine. Just a suggestion - for large fruit, cut them in half, or they take forever to dry. Also, it's a good idea to go through periodically and pull out the fruit that's already dry.
RubberCheese : Large dehydrator; reaches and holds at desired temperature
This is a large food dehydrator which reaches (and slightly exceeds) temperature set points.
Included are seven stainless steel racks/shelves, two plastic grids (for fruit roll-ups and similar), and the dehydrator itself. The dehydrator is very large – check the dimensions on the listing – it takes up almost the whole depth of the counter. The soft portion of the power cord is 39” long.
The dehydrator displays both time remaining and temperature (temperature can be flipped between Celsius and Fahrenheit at the push of a button). The mode button (“slow”/”fast”) are presets of temperature and time, but settings can be easily modified.
We’ve been using it to make chicken jerky – important when starting with raw meat is that proper temperatures are achieved and maintained – at the set point of 167F, the inside of my unit ranges from around 168F to 180F, depending on shelf.
Chicken jerky turns out great – I leave it in for just over 5hours at the setpoint of 167F.
Cleanup is fairly easy, except that the ‘waves’ on the grids tend to hold on to food.
My only complaint is that the front panel seems to be partially glued in place – the rightmost portion of my unit becomes separated near the power button (I’ve attached a photo of this). Not a big deal but this could get caught when taking it out of storage between uses.
Overall – this is a large and effective food dehydrator – I’d recommend it as long as you have space to spare to store it between uses.
Mei L. : Would recommend
Good size, light-weight and very easy to set up. I like that it is larger than a previous model I own while costing around the same. First batch of apple chips baking as we speak! No complaints at the moment. Will update if any trouble arises.

Shane O. Laake : Well made and easy to use
This is our first dehydrator, and we wanted a nice looking unit that could stay out when not in use as well as one with ample shelves and a decent build. This checks all those boxes and more. You'll be up and running in no time, and more importantly ... it works. It gets plenty hot enough, can keep a temp there or a lower one, and it keeps temps relatively consistently from top to bottom. I used my various BBQ thermometers to test this. The trays are well made, and you can taken them out and put a dish in here to keep warm. We use that a lot (when we aren't making veggie chips or jerky).
Barbara : Perfect for our summer harvest!
This is a really good dehydrator. Since it’s fresh fruits and vegetables season, my mom and I have been canning some of our harvest and wanted to dry some. When I pulled out my dehydrator (one of those round plastic kind), the trays had pieces cracked off (UGH!). It was obviously time for a new one so I did some research and decided on this one. I like that it’s easy to use. Just set the temperature and the time, then press start and you’re good to go. The warming feature is nice to have just in case you get a little busy and want to try your delights warm later. Another factor that’s important to me is that it’s easy to clean. This dehydrator also came with a cookbook that has numerous recipes for fruits, vegetables, meats, and candies. The book not only tells you how to prepare and process, it also tells you how to store your dried foods. This dehydrator comes with more drying room than my old one which is definitely a plus. Especially come this fall when I’ll be using it to make my venison jerky. It’s famous among family and friends, and their favorite recipe. I’m very happy with my purchase. I plan on getting lots of use out of it.
