Answer: You can freeze anything in the bag, but for liquid items like soup you will not be able to vacuum seal it (for obvious reasons). But you can certainly seal/melt the bag closed on both ends, leaving some air in the bag.

Good vacuum freezer bags for both wet and dry foods, for storage and for long term freezing. Foods can be thawed in the bags either in the fridge or warm water.
To test them out I sealed some almonds and then put the vacuum sealed bag into a bowl of water, let them sit for quite awhile, cut open the bag and the almonds were perfectly dry.
The bags are a half size roll, not a full length roll for the length of a vacuum sealer.
They're a bit thicker and more substantial than the sealer bags that came with my basic vacuum sealer. These have a waffle type texture that can still be written on with a marker for labeling. Works great with a good vacuum seal and also secure heat sealing.
I used these mostly for freezing meat and rice - included with the review are pics of shredded chicken.
That's great too for thawing frozen foods in warm water without worrying about leaking into the bags.
Would recommend.

I received a Food Saver brand vacuum sealer for Christmas and needed to purchase some replacement bags. I absolutely love these bags. I like that there is a choice on the size of bag to use since there are three different sizes and the quality is exceptional. The bags seem thicker than the ones that were included with the Food Saver and work exceptionally well. Nothing seems to leak and I have had no issues with sealing when using these bags. The quality for the price is great and I know that I will be ordering more of these in the future. Works exactly as I expected and description is very accurate. Included pictures with items next to a ruler to show the actual size of the product.

So many companies are making sealer bags these days that are compatible with different machines. I am currently using the original vacuum sealer machine and these bags work fantastic with the sealer. I appreciate that these are bpa free as I have enough to worry about what mico plastics will be lurking in another product that touches my food. Recommend

If you use a vacuum sealer, you're familiar with these type of products. I can never have enough sealer bags or rolls in my home. This comes with two rolls of 8'' x16.5' bags. When I first started using a vacuum sealer I used already pre-sized bags and then I discovered rolls of vacuum sealer bags. I really like that with these rolls I can pick the size that works best for my item. It can be small or it can be large. It's easy to cut and then just seal both ends. I like to seal one end before putting my food product in. These bags are just as good as the others I've tried. They have a nice weight and have been easy to seal. These bags work with different vacuum sealers. This versatility is great because you're not married to one brand. This is a good deal for two rolls of sealer bags!

I’m new to vacuum sealing, but am pretty excited about it. These vacuum bags seem to be pretty decent quality. I don’t have a ton of experience with vacuum bags so I don’t have a lot to go on, but they do seem maybe a little thinner than others that I’ve used. That being said, they do the job. They vacuum nicely and hold the seal perfectly. I do appreciate that they come with different size options so I can select the size most appropriate for what I need. Overall this seems like a good quality bag system. I’ve give it 5 stars if the material was a little thicker.

I rarely freeze meats, so I don't vacuum seal that often. However we just got a sous vide and thought he should get these for that. Later we learned that you can use zip lock bags instead though and they seem to work just as good. But if you go the vacuum sealed route, these are nice. Easy to open, easy to use. Works just as expected and I'm happy with the product.

If you have a vacuum sealer, these bag 'rolls' are the way to go, instead of buying the pre-sized bags. It takes one extra step, but gives you complete flexibility in the size of the bag you seal. Simply seal one end, estimate size needed and cut, load the bag and vacuum/seal. These bags work great for sous vide steaks, chicken, etc. and to store fresh produce. We just started using a vacuum sealer and have been surprised how fast we burn through bags, so you just can't have too many bag rolls around. Really happy with these bag rolls and love vacuum sealing our food.

The Goscien vacuum sealer bags work well, but for the tag price, they are only $1 less than the retail cost of bags made by the manufacturer of the best-selling vacuum sealer in the US at regular price; those bags are currently on sale, which means that the GOSCIEN bags are actually more expensive. The bags are thinner than the manufacturer's bags. These bags seal easily and well.

It would be great to have more than one size on hand in order to be more efficient.
