does it work for kraft bag?

Answer: Kraft bags are made of paper, so they would not be heat sealable, unless they have some kind of plastic lining. This sealer works on plastic, poly, Mylar, etc...

Answer: The Kraft bag can be sealed if it's lined with Mylar.

Answer: If it's not a heat sealable bag, then no. It will only work with shrino wrap or heat sealable products.

Does it work on vinyl?

Answer: I don’t think it would work on vinyl

How many times can I use this product before having to replace any part? How durable is it?

Answer: I have used this product for about a year now, so far no replacement parts have been required. I only use this sealer 3 times per week. I suspect if you use everyday, you would need to replace some parts within a year or two.

Answer: I've used mine for a year and a half, and I'd estimate that I've sealed a few thousand poly bags during that time (2-3 second seals each). The tape is a little bit dirty, but not enough to replace it, and I haven't had to replace anything else yet either.

Answer: I have used it so far for several thousand cycles ( bag seals) and it is operating as new. Nothing wearing out or even close to it. Good design. Rugged. And they give you an extra set of replacement heat wires with silicone tape which will probably be what wears out first.

Answer: It comes with some replacement parts although I haven't used any yet. I've had mine for a couple of years and sealed thousands of bags with it. The Energizer Bunny has got nothing on this...

Answer: Hey, I bought mine 2 years ago and I haven't change the heating part but I don't use it often thou . The box comes with one replacement if you need to change it sooner.

Answer: I don't know exactly but I use mine for holiday gifts. I have only changed anything once in over 5 years. Love it.

Answer: I am not sure. It has an extra one in the box. They seem to last for a long time .

The description and features indicated two different seal widths (5mm and 2mm). Which is it?

Answer: It's been a few years since I bought it, but I believe it's the 2mm width seal.

Can this work with mylar bags?

Answer: Yes

Answer: Yes, the impulse sealer works well with Mylar and will seal up to 10mm.

Answer: This machine can seal any kind of plastic bag.

Answer: It doesn't have to be a special bag. Just adjust the settings; use a sample piece 1st is my suggestion.

Will it would to individually seal straws? I sell tumblers and the straws don't come wrapped.

Answer: I've never done straws, but it does get hot enough to seal them. All you have to do is turn up the dial until you get the right amount of seal. It will take you a few straws until you get it where you want it. After that, seal away!

Is this 5mm seal if not how big is it?

will it seal mylar bags?

Answer: Yes, it seals my 4 mil food bags on setting 2 of 8 and my .5 mill bags on the lowest setting. It will work for any bag that is able to be heat sealed.

Answer: Yes it will seal mylar bags. You should do a test seal, and make the necessary adjustments to the heat setting, so as to just *seal* the bag and not melt it.

Answer: I haven't used my sealer on Mylar bags but it performs as expected on ppt bags. It seals 4 mil bags at setting 2 so heating power isn't a problem at all

Answer: Ive never tried it.. but i dont see why not. I have seen a "bigger" one being used to seal them.

Answer: Haven't tried but don't see why not. Mylar doesn't need the 'impulse' function. A regular iron will do.

does this seal bubble wrap and at which setting?

Answer: I used it to seal thin goody plastic bags for a birthday so it would seal bubble wrap. As far as the heating settings, you just have to play around with the temperature setting to see which one will work for you.

Diane : Not what I expected

Photo looks just like a name-brand heal seal machine. This is a cheaply made imitation. Instructions were in English, but with grammar that had been translated from a foreign language. The sealer did not perform the same way as the name-brand sealers I use. I need to be able to seal the bag shut and tear the bag away to make another pack, and was unable to tear the poly bag with this sealer. Most concerning to me, however, was the lightweight, two-prong electrical cord and plug. My hairdryer has more substantial cord and a three-prong plug.
I was very pleased with the customer service I received from 24/7 Value. Very prompt and polite responses to my requests for returns and a full refund. I would like to purchase something else from them in the future.

Good size for general sealing, Adjustable heat settings for various bag thicknesses. This Will seal mylar, as long as the heat setting isnt too high. . . . With this heat sealer, I can even seal the cheap thin sandwich bags- but I need to lower the temp setting to about "1".

Works perfectly! Even came with replacement heat seal wire. . . which I doubt I will ever use, as these will last a long time, as long as you keep the heat setting to as low as possible setting,

Would (and already have) refer this item to others!

This is very easy to use. The instructions have so many typos in them, which is comical but should probably be corrected by the manufacturer.

Not the best quality made sealer but for the money it is a great deal. Sealer heats up instantly and seals just about anything. Auto shuts off when the seal is done. What I mean about the build quality is hard to explain. It is an all metal construction, very solid but the finish isn't perfect. Hopefully that shouldn't matter when using the product over and over.

I was wondering what the difference was, except 100 or more dollars.
I ordered this, plus some polybags, plus some small mylar bags.
The polybags sealed amazingly well.
What's funny is, the Mylar bags sealed amazingly well too!
The polybags sealed at 2 1/2 to 3.
The mylar bags required 5 to 7.
So if you don't mind experimenting with the settings, you are getting a cheap, all in wonder.

Bought this last year, so I have been using it for a long time sealing daily vitamin packs in small cello bags, sealing gift bags with treats, and small gift items with colored tissue paper, resealing chip bags, etc.. It does what is expected and for the price is great. However, the sealer can get dust on it and then begin to melt the cello - a sign that the silicon (?) piece on the bottom needs to be replaced. What I have found is that, if I put a piece of parchment over the bottom sealer, it works beautifully and I don't have to keep replacing the bottom piece. I would buy this product again.

Works fine have seal over a 100 bags so far. With 2mil poly bags I use the 1.5 setting it takes less than second to seal, but you need to hold it down far a couple seconds while it cools. Else it sticks to the heating element which may not be good for it. It still sticks to the arm slightly but that doesn't hurt anything.
