3/8" Monofilament Mesh

Traditionally the most popular cast net for targeting a variety of bait. The 200 Series Nets feature Premium UBE Chip Monofilament Netting, 3/8” square mesh, 80 lbs test Braille Lines, and ¾ lbs of actual lead weight per foot. A 24 ft handline is secured with a heavy-duty anodized swivel. Each net is packed in an attractive reusable hard-shelled plastic container.

Good cast net, liked it better then the cheapo ones from walmart.

Dwyanne Jones : Good net, but needs to be "prepped"

The 5 ft. net with 3/8th in mesh works well for my target bait, top smelt in the 4-7 inch range. Decent sink rate at 3/4 lbs. per foot. (Check Ahi's website to make sure you're purchasing a net with the correct mesh size for your target bait and the desired sink rate).

But before you use the net it needs to be prepped. You'll have to tighten the knots where the braille lines attach to the lead line and trim down the long tag ends. This reduces the chances of tangles when tossing the net. Also check to see if the lead weights are held securely in place. If some of the thread lines used to secure the weights are loose, tighten them and use "super glue" to keep the threading from unraveling.
