Questions about Lee Fisher Sports Mako Cast Net 3 Ft (3/8" SQ )
Q:
Is the diameter of this really 3 feet as stated above or is it 6 feet?
Answer: It is definitely not 3 feet.
Q:
Is it 6 foot in diamature when open?
Answer: yes it is. but I recommend going with a wider one.. This one is great to practice, 6 ft doesn't cover much once in water. thanks
Answer: No, it is 4ft.
Answer: No
Q:
Is the net 3ft wide when all the way open?
Answer: Yes, I believe it is. It serves well in catching me shrimp as well as fish sometimes that gets caught up in the net. And it is not heavy making it very easy for me to cast.
Answer: 3' should be the radius
Q:
So is this net 6ft across when streched?
Answer: Hello Lori: Yes, this is 3 ft radius 3/8" sq. mesh with 1 lb/ft real lead cast net
Answer: Hello Lori: Yes, this is 3 ft radius 3/8" sq. mesh with 1 lb/ft real lead cast net
Answer: No, it is 4ft.
Answer: No it is 4ft.
Answer: No about 3ft
Answer: Yes
Q:
is the bucket it comes in large enough to be used as a bait bucket also?
Answer: Yeah, its at least a 1gallon
Q:
The radius is really 3 feet or more?
Answer: The description says 3 ft in diameter not 3 ft radius. And as I recall it is 3 ft in diameter.
Answer: Good 3 ft..net is great for catching green backs
Answer: It is 3 ft.+ in diameter. It is a great net to learn on. It is easier to get your technique down with this net then graduate on to the bigger nets. I actually just stayed with it because its easier to throw than the bigger ones. It catches shad (or whatever bait) fine if you find the right spot.
Answer: The Lee Fisher CBT-S3 Mono Cast Net is perfect. It is exactly what I was looking for. It is just the right size and weight for me to be able to cast it without hurting my neck, shoulders or back and accomplish what I need it to do. Thank you so much.
Answer: It's an awesome net for kids or for fishing/casting via kayak.
Answer: No its super small don't buy it unless you are teaching your kid how to throw a net.
Q:
Can it get small minnows?
Answer: Yes it does.
Q:
could this also catch bigger fish?
Answer: I used it to catch mullet in south FL. during mullet run. you could catch anything you can net. This net is small i got it so i could carry with me on foot. get the biggest net you can throw. i would research more on the fish you are trying to net. What is bigger fish?
Answer: To some extent it can. This is not an extremely sturdy net for fish catching. It is very appropriate for shrimping and it is easy to handle and throw especially if you have problems with your back because it is not too heavy. I have caught some large Mullets in it but not any really big fish.
Answer: Sure,I bought this for my granddaughter so she gould gatgh shrimp
Q:
Is this legal in Maryland and/ or Florida?
Answer: Legal in fla
Q:
Does this net catch trout?
Answer: It could, if you were in shallow enough water (probably less that 1-2 feet) and accurate enough with it. That being said, pretty sure targeting game fish with a cast net is illegal in most places.
Q:
What is the weight per foot?
Answer: not sure of the correct weight but it is very easy to cast and im 68 years old it is about 2 to 3 lbs
Product reviews of Lee Fisher Sports Mako Cast Net 3 Ft (3/8" SQ )
pb : Seems like a good product for the money
Bought this as a gift. Seems like a good product for the money.
kiara prevost : The net is very easy to use
Haven't caught any bait fish yet...not cause of the product but cause haven't seen any to catch at my local lake. The net is very easy to use. I watched a few Youtube videos prior to receiving it, practiced a few times before taking it to the lake & was able to throw a pretty good cast within the 1st few tries. Seems very durable also.
PK : The net might be fine, but the description is misleading
The net might be fine, but the description is misleading...it's 3' RADIUS (not diameter as listed). Already have one 3' radius (6' diameter) and want a smaller one that's more easily managed by my son...sending it back.
Keith Glover : Cast

Don P. : Excellent net but illegal to use.
Very good net but it’s illegal to use it in CA except 1 town up north. My super poor buddy got caught and I had to pay $500 for his citation. I’m not rich but I could take the hit. No Can Do for him :)
mandero : Great for kids
Nice cheap small net for my 6yo to throw.
MomOfThreeBoys : Perfect.
My husband taught my 4 year-old how to throw a cast net with this. It's a little big for my son, but they love using it together and it is perfect for playing around on the dock.
timothy.p.marchant : Great basic starter casting net
Works very well! Takes some practice to get the hang of throwing it. Dont forget to secure the loop end in your hand or on wrist!!!! Otherwise you will lose it!!!!
Craig : Not worth it.
This net will not open when thrown. I thought I was doing something wrong so had a friend try it that uses a net all the time. He could not make it open either. Wish I hadn't bought it.
Sheila Ash : Four Stars
