Answer: The large will hold at least 25-10 inch crappie. It would also hold 25-12 inch crappie. It’s a good sized basket.

Answer: It's surprisingly large but I'll just have to guess. Probably easily 10 and slightly crowded 20, stuffed full maybe 25

Answer: A lot.

what is the warrantee of the product?

Answer: I don't know about the warrantee, but they won't last unless you are careful. They aren't expensive, so that's not a real worry. If you use it in salt water, rinse after use.

I like this basket because floats! My last one came untied after getting hit with several large w
Boat wakes and a floating log - it had 5 nice catfish in it (no fish story here- worse part is the fish are trapped in the old basket). I don’t know it was advertised that this one floats, but it is a bonus that it does!
Fish are easy to get in and out of it.
But I learned and added a second float to it and use a carabiner clip, not trusting my knots and large wakes anymore.
I would buy it aGain!

This is not a floating fish basket. The plastic labeling/packaging says that it is, but it is a distinctly different design from the picture.
I received a folding, square crab trap. It is designed to sink straight to the bottom, and then open up so crabs can climb on top. There is nothing about this item that floats, and is NOT designed to hold your fish for you while you continue fishing. Product packaging was clearly mislabeled.

RD JR : Crappie fish basket.... not the fish kind!!

We were needing a fish basket for a weekend fishing trip. I purchased this one at Gander Mountain, thinking it would be nice to have one of the floating varieties. It is a nice concept & if it was built with better quality components I think it would fit the bill. This one, however, is made with very cheap hinges & springs. The basket wouldn't float in a vertical manner, it kept rolling over on the side because the hinge & spring wouldn't keep the float lid closed. If your needing a dependable floating fish basket, this Eagle Claw brand is not it....keep looking!

Holds fish fine. Turtles will bite wires at our place. Also because lid floats it doesn’t hold fish in water deep enough and they will die fairly quickly. Would get another basket but without the float top lids

Louis Heck : Great size & price but watch top lid hinge.

Great larger size the what local stores carry. Only issue is the plastic lid has screwed plate to hold wire bracket to the side. It allows the lid to get off centered. If you drip fish in, in a hurray, then lid can get off centered. It would allow small fish to get out. Plus if you try to pot another fish in while of center then it gets even further off. To fix you must remove small screws which isn't good to do while sitting at lake. Then realign and replace screws.
Would be better to have solid bracket not just wires that plate holds.
But foot the price and size this basket still is of of the better one's I have tried over the years!
