Answer: Doubt it would work. It's aluminum; likely bending it would crack the handle.

Is it really a 59 feet long pole?

Answer: No, it extends to about 8 feet 9 inches including the net.

Answer: actually it's 159 feet so you don't have to worry about the crabs jumping on you and biting your fingers

Answer: I do not. Given that aluminum is so light in weight, I would be concerned about having any amount of weight at the furthest most point (netting).

Answer: You mean if you leave it in the sun? No - it reflects back heat and is a good sturdy net. Using it very heavy 2 -3 time a year

Answer: Yes, if you are going to catch small fish, the net is about 13 inches across and 6 or 7 inches deep

Answer: We use it at full extension to fish soccer balls out of the creek. It works very well for that. It's easily large and sturdy enough to handle an 18 inch fish.

Answer: I don't know if it floats - but it broke in less than a year. The pole broke where it is attached to the top where the net is.

We were needing a crab net that we could use when walking out on the flats. Works well for catching the crabs, just had to paint the bottom half black so the crabs would not see the net coming and run. Net seems well made, so far have caught about 100 crabs using this net.

Light weight, easily maneuverable, vehicle to capture crabs. The net moves rapidly through water with little resistance which lessens the time for crabs to escape. The handle inserts into the base pole which allows for easy storage and transport. I'm very satisfied with this product and it's performance.

We used to go catching crabs with the cage (with chicken leg as baits), the best times we can get 10-15 in 2 hours, but most of the time we were only able to get 2-3. The tool is so useful and most of the days we can get 40-50 in less than an hour with this net. It is so fun to use it. It is also light, and you can extend it to pretty long. We drive Honda CRV to the shore and this net can fit in with no problem in the truck. It sticks a bit out in the back seats. It is also pretty easy to clean.
We have been used this net in the past summer for about 10 times, and it's still like new. Would recommend to anyone who likes crabbing.

I'm ordering this pole for it's length since I need a net that's at least 20ft long.

But this one is far from enough.

Guess it's a typo in the title. It should be 56 inches - 92 inches.

If you are looking for a short net then it should be fine.

Taking 4 star off due to incorrect description -- I ordered one and thought it was just wrong packaging, when the exchanged one came in exactly the same, I figured it's not what I thought it would be.
Please correct the listing title.
