Questions about Heddon Crazy Crawler Wild-Action Topwater Fishing Lure
Q:
Is it heavy enough to throw with a bait caster
Answer: I throw it on a 7ft medium fast rod with daiwa tatula type r baitcaster with ease. So yes you can. As a side note, the jackall pompadour and the pompadour jr has better action than the crazy crawler.
Answer: yes, if you have a smooth reel and a medium to fast action rod. give it a good toss. I use it with my favorite pitching rod. adjust the retrieve so that it wobbles and dips from side to side. to fast or slow of a retrieve will kill the action completely. a slight twist or straightening to the wings will also change the action. I have one I put weedless hooks on to toss into grass and Lilly pads.
Answer: Yes, has a good weight to it
Answer: Yes too easy!
Q:
Is this like the jackall pompedeour
Answer: I would say it's the closest thing out there that I've seen and your not spending 30 to 40$ for it
Answer: No idea what that is, sorry.
Answer: It is, a little different action but basicly the same
Q:
Does this look like the Pompadour on the water and swim like it
Answer: it has arms that open up like the pompadour so it might do the same thing but it works just like a jitterbug does and it has the same action
Answer: Does the exact same thing but buy the bigger version this one is the tiny crawler so it's small maby bout inch and half long.

Product reviews of Heddon Crazy Crawler Wild-Action Topwater Fishing Lure
Robb S : Great Lure
Excellent alternative to the Jitterbug. Depending where you shop, Jitterbugs can get kind of expensive. This creates great topwater noise and gets big hits. The lip on the jitterbug can bend and it awkwardly swims back from time to time depending on wind/reel speed. The crazy crawler has 2 jointed lips...when one is out, the other is in. It's going to swim the same every time. If the lip bends, you bend it back and it will swim the same as it did unlike the jitterbug where you have to bend it just right for it to work properly.
The only advantage that the Jitterbug has that I've seen is sizes. I've only found this one crazy crawler in this size where I have a Jitterbug the same size, and then a slightly larger one that's jointed and they get bigger than that too.
Tina H. : Five Stars
I haven't caught anything with it yet but the action is fantastic
Cheri Doyle : Five Stars
Seriously love this lure. It crawls across the water nicely.
Michael Gerard Pastina : Great Lure
Hey Folks! The reason that I had to buy this one, is because I was using it, and a pickerel grabbed it and just cut my line, and it is one of my favorite bass lures of all time. Thanks and God Bless You!

Giving 5 stars because it's cool looking. Haven't used it yet because there's still ice on the lakes in Wisconsin. I'll post another review on how well it works when I get out on the open water.
Amazon Customer : Great gift for a fisherman!
This was a great addition to the birthday for the fisherman in the family.
Barry Soetoro : Five Stars
A lure that every fisherman should have in their tackle box.

Brian Raymen : This is small.
Iv used these before but a bigger version and had some cracking takes/action with them but it is a smaller version than what iv used before plus not used this one just yet but surr it will be just as lethal as its larger counter part.
Paco : Great lure
Have used this lure for many years, the only negative is that the fish love them and when I lose one I have to replace it.
Russell W. : So sad
I am very disappointed in the quality of the new crazy crawler I have used these for years I always changed the hooks since heddon went to China quality is very poor I would use paper clips for hooks then the one's yal install
Kamarin : Thought I Lost It Forever!
I've owned one of these lures for years, but along the way it did not make it back into my tackle box. I stumbled upon this one while looking for other lures in Amazon and ordered it immediately! Take this out to your favorite bass pond on a hot summer night around dusk, toss it out, let it settle, reel in slowly and wait for the fun! It is without a doubt the best top water lure I've ever used! Have Fun!!
Richard : Very old classic lure
This is a very old classic lure, looks like a struggling critter, glad they still make it!
Force Trooper : Bass and Northern Gallore!
I've been using the Heddon crazy crawler for over twenty years. They never fail to bring up bass and northern often the moment the lure hits the water. Sure, you have to keep your rod tip up to get the right action and you may need to adjust the wings, but it's nothing a skilled fisherman can't handle. I broke my 30+ year old crawler today and now I'm looking for a new one.

Susan Maggs : Five Stars
Love the glo bug
Robert D. Wright : DRIVES FISH WILD
CRAZY ACTION
Amazon Customer : Love the look, the idea and the hype...but that's about it.
Like a lot of other people, the one I got doesn't open. I'm basically just reeling in a spinning and twisting, red and white Easter egg. There it's no crawl. I'd love for someone to step forward and show me how to make this right. My gut tells me that this is a common problem...and that my next move to buy a lure of this type would be to go with a Jackall...it would be a shame to think that Heddon would be producing things like this and just living off of their name. I hope that's not the case.
Gary : Great top water lure.
Great little top water lure. Works well for large and smallmouth bass. Also works on stripped bass and bluefish in salt water.
Kenneth A. wagner : Great Lure
Great fish getter
Seth clark : Top notch
Best kept secret in the bass fishing world
Viacheslav : Really cool guy
One of my favorite surface lures. Not sure what it imitates - probably frog or a small bird. Really easy to use - just cast and retrieve. Even with a slow retrieve makes a lot of noice and splashes. Lots of fun to watch how bass attacks it
Albert : Great
Great all around topwater lure
cbcdave : Five Stars
awesome
Ryan G Males : awesome for calm water
Exactly as advertised and they work like a charm. Bass love these things and they are fun as heck on a calm water day.
Amazon Customer : Four Stars
